  1. I will only use it when the transfer is really dead and then will keep bumping it for years.
  2. That’s why Gemmill‘s dad does speak to CT frequently. He thinks he is speaking with his son. The similar hair colour doesn’t help either.
  3. Hummels has been amazing the last 12 months. Many wanted him to play for Germany again. Him being out of contract seems strange, but he didn’t want to sign a bad contract so far. He had bad spells before though and I am not sure that it’s worth to sign hin on a short term contract because he would still need to adapt to a different football culture
  4. He didn’t play for Germany. I can’t keep track with KD and his changing tune about if we should sign Guehi or not.
  5. As I said when all this bollocks started, it would have been nice to get Guehi as a statement signing but I am actually not fuzzed about the likely failure. It will hurt Crystal Palace more than us when they will have to sell him for less eventually.
  6. I am not sure who paid for the various statues, but Shearer‘s wasn’t commissioned by the club then but the Shepherds and the City Council as much as I know with Fat Mike then refusing a place on the ground of the stadium. It got only moved there after the takeover. As much as I love Keegan I think a statue would be too much but rather preferred a stand being named after him or similar. Or the training complex.
  7. 1-0 for the bairns/granddads, good assists from Harrison. No tin foil heads among the spectators to assess Trippiers involvement
  8. That’s what Keegan said last year.
  9. "I’ve always wondered why Alan Shearer’s statue is outside stadium land,” she says. “That’s something that has to be changed, and it will be. And why is there such little recognition of Kevin Keegan there? Why is that?“ That‘s what Staveley said to Caulkin in an interview immediately after the takeover. I’m therefore pretty sure that the club came up with ideas. I vaguely remember Keegan being unsure wanting to get acknowledged because he failed to win a trophy. I think there was an interview with him where he said something along these lines and the advice Howe gathered from him.
  10. I do totally agree. Keegan was my boyhood hero and I would never have got interested in Newcastle if not for him
  11. I don’t think this a punishment too either, more likely Howe spoke with Trippier about the demotion to tie Bruno to the club. Trippier doesn’t need the armband to be a leader as he has shown in the past
  12. Have a look at the replies.
  13. I don’t think that this is solely down to the club. Just looking at the latest away shirt ad the club and the involvement of the likes of Lee, Nobby, Daveed, the subtle reference to Sir Bobby, people at the club seem to be pretty aware of the importance to involve and honour toon legends
  14. I very much doubt that it’s a punishment because it would cause a major disruption treating Trippier this way.
  15. PL and HMHM before they go for a pre-match pint
  16. Short term with no financial risk it could probably work in the same way that West Ham got the best out of Lingaard before he got self-obsessed again.
  17. Sterling would be on massive wages on top of feeling untouchable. Signing this kind of rejects who probably feel they are moving down from an elite club hasn’t worked for us in the past and we should be well beyond this approach.
  18. I should get paid for my annual German invasion otherwise people might forget about the fine tradition of kraut-bashing.
