  1. I'd agree for the shear fact they've waited all day to release a tiny comment like this. THE ARE SHITTING IT. Every piece of evidence now tells you Keegan has said he wants out and the likelihood is its over control of transfer policy. Of course they are shitting it as they want him to stay. Its not like they've sacked him and changed their minds due to rent-a-mong outside SJP. I think it is about the direction of the club in general. I guess that for Keegan the strategy is far too much long term as it undermines his current position as a manager. He now has to work with a paper thin squad without having been able to add too much in quality but mostly not in quantity. Not that I wouldn't have minded if we had got rid of Barton. But if the board wanted it they should have made sure to have a replacement in line. Same goes for Milner. So it is clearly a "back me immidiately or I'll walk and you can see how you get out of the mess" ultimatum.
  2. NOPE - all that says is they haven't sacked him and don't want him to leave.... It doesn't mean he hasn't walked though This. Thank god I'm not the only one seeing through the flowery wording... They haven't sacked him, they want him to continue ....but no mention whatsoever that he's in agreement with them! All this statement has served to do is relieve them of responsiblity for leaving the club (if he has). It does NOT mean he is definitely still our manager. Be vigilant people - the fat lady ain't singing just yet. Sure, but this is at least more reason for hope than getting to grips with Dennis Wise standing in the dugout at the next match. Keegan has done it again. He's held the pistol to their head. They know they have to fear the fan's backleash if Keegans goes. So they have now to do this Keegan's way. I wouldn't mind if the outcome is to get rid of the likes of Wise and Lamearse with Keegan have more say about the people he wants to work with.
  3. Considering that the first rumours were that he already quit last night I rather see it as something positive. Hopefully another emotional outburst to increase the pressure to do things his way while they are begging him to rethink his decision. I f***ing worried now. Call me Isegridamus.
  4. This was one of the rational explanations I came up to calm myself down as well: A big bust up between Keegan and the others involved in the day to day work. Keegan getting fed up and walking out. Words are spreading and getting to the sources of Gemmill, Stevie etc. Ashley getting hold of this and hecticly trying to reverse the decision. The only explanation for the club saying nothing is that they are not sure about where they stand with Keegan at the moment themselves.
  5. What kind of sadist would act like this? It's clear they're panicked and not sure how to proceed. Not an easy one. Well, they should have started thinking beforehand...
  6. From the people available I would prefer Laudrup. Similar playing style to Keegan, young upcoming manager with a good record at his last jobs. Good with working with limited ressources and youngsters as well..
  7. What is the option? Fans will be furious for some time, but at some finally start to get past things, just to get let down again. It's a vivious circle.
  8. It's nailed on then A-bloody-wooga To be fair Kris was always wrong with his last confirmations (Chimbonda, Redknapp, Barnes)... [/straw clutching]
  9. Neither can I but that's what I'm led to believe off my source. I wrongly thought Gemmill was wrong or hoping he was, I contacted a few people at lunch time, not only was he write, but I'm led to believe by them, that Wise has been told the job is his to lose. I wish and hope it's not true but everything I've been told has been 100% correct so far today. I am not doubting you, but how do you know about everything being 100% correct today without having any official confirmation? Wise will be a disaster considering his reputation among the fans. Worse than Souness.
  10. Rumour I've heard is that Ashley et al were pushing the sale of Barton to Pompey to get him off our books totally against Keegan's wishes. Keegan alledgedly told Barton to go public with his desire to stay at SJP which of course he did. Ashley has gone fucking ape-shit that, in his opinion, he's be under-mined by Keegan. Plausible I guess - if it is true then surely Keegan was exercising his right as a manager and Ashley is a twat for getting involved? Either way there's been a serious amount of 'right hand not knowing what the fuck the left is doing' since Wise and Jiminez were appointed IMO. The lack of communication has been apparent from day one of KK's reign for me. The problem is that KK looks like a nee-mark when he goes in front of the cameras and talks about transfers (which he clearly isn't closely involved with). The continental structure that MA has employed should mean that Wise/Jiminez talk to the press about transfers and KK talks to the press about whether Joey Barton's blisters have healed!! If that was true then KK was a very good liar all the time he said he was in control of thing etc. I've seen interviews where he's had to say "Sorry I don't know, you'll need to speak to Jiminez/Wise about that". That's a bit embarrassing if you ask me.. I only remember what he said when we signed players or most lately when we sold Milner.
  11. I wonder where the news station get all their information from. There must be people sneaking out of the meeting all the time and keep them informed...

  13. Gemmill is probably just negotiating his sacking for spending too much time on the internet today.
  14. The last time I sacked someone it took ages. Union representation etc etc etc. My gut instinct is that KK has not gone. Well the last time it happened in mine they were off the premises 5 minutes later, mind you i work for a US firm with different labour contracts. I imagine NUFC isnt somewhere with manager contracts that mean they cant be sacked pretty easily. Its a football club not a car factory. The sacking of the manager isn't comparable. Once the decision get rid is final they don't worry about the details who always get thrashed out much later. So if he was indeed already sacked hours ago there is no reason why the club didn't comment on it.
  15. That's what I am trying to say to myself for a couple of hours now, but I am shit nervous.
  16. It is Wise 110%. It's not even up for debate he's already been told he's the new manager. As logical as that seems it is just fucking unbelievable that someone could be so fucking stupid and disregarding of the fans' feelings. I am totally lost. This all does not make any sense at all. It so fucking stupid.
  17. At least I have actually started to do some work.
  18. Surprised hes not had his pic taken with KK or that Keegan has even commented on the signing in any of those pieces... That is what worried me as well. He's still listen among the coaching stuff though...

  20. They did the same last month for Moyes. Hopefully there's as much truth in this rumour. Bookies have never been correct about anything involving managerial situation in the last five years...
  21. Thanks, that's a good indication for it being rubbish.
