    Owen

That's the thing. Apart from Owen every player just tends to give the ball away again and again. So it's pretty harsh to blame Owen for the Crapness of his team mates...
  2. Numpties-Online is in full flow about this again tonight...
  3. I'd rather Keegan was still in charge and our safety was in the bag already....but we'll see. Exactly, everything is coming far too late. It was plain to see what was needed last September, but they thought they knew better and now probably will have to live with the consequences.
  4. I fell asleep in the pub in the second half. Good spirited performance by Wales. Unlucky with the first goal coming after a throw-in wrongly awarded to Germany, a clear penalty refused (handball and foul) and an own goal. A couple of decent chances from Wales as well. Germany more and more look to play the traditional 'we play shite and only care about the result' stuff.
  5. Obviously he is not as engaging as KK but how can you be so sure he is very aloof? I think he (sensibly) maintains a certain persona on tv but reckon he's actually a bit of a joker and a man's man. I don't think he'll quite get the players expressing themself to KK's level but he will probably inject more backbone, which is what we need for now. Had a mate went to do work at his home. Naturally he was extremely excited when Al (his hero) answered the door. High Alan, im from such and such and Ive come to..... Its Mr Shearer, not Alan came the reply. He was gutted. Could have been worse, Kieron Dyer used to set fire to people (or something similar...).
  6. It was KK that brought him in... Same as all those youngsters were more than likely spotted by scouts and recommended to the club with Wise having the job to convince them to sign (which he failed with a couple of promising youngsters, like Vokes). I think Volkes is a different case, he's played 30 times for Wolves this season, he'd have been lucky to make the bench at the toon. He'd been unlucky not to make the bench this season tbh... As much as I agree with the policy of acquiriny young talents from all over the world. How successfull this approach is going to be we will only see in a couple of years time as normally only few players actually turn good...

  8. Damn, can't you stick to making wrong predicitions concerning Liverpool, the world economy and other unimportant stuff?
  9. It certainly will give the whole place a lift. It won't be buzzing and if Ashley an Co. are thinking they can deflect attention from their shortcomings they are certainly wrong, but for the remaining games an overall more positive attitude will certainly be a big plus. On and off the pitch.
  10. I am excited as well. Not in the same way as last year when Keegan returned as Shearer as a manager is still a dark horse, but still a lot more hopeful than I've been the last couple of months.
  11. He looked more than committed in the majority of games he played for Newcastle tbh. I couldn't care less about his living arrangements. The article suggests his living arrangements have had a negative impact on his relationship with his team mates, and I can see why. His commitment on the pitch isn't in doubt, but I'd expect him to promote the club and city more off the pitch as well. I had the same issue with Gullit living in Amsterdam. Sorry, but frankly I find it insulting. His team mates are probably offended that Owen doesn't go clubbing with them and making himself look like a tit. The lifestyle of most players looks way more unprofessional to me than Owen's. Commuting with a helicopter (although Owen has more than once said this is a myth) is in the end maybe a bit extravagant but not worse than arriving after an hours drive in your bloody humvee. Though Owen might have a bad handwriting as well. Seriously I can't understand all the fuzz and stick Owen gets.

  13. Alan Oliver! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-1...t.html?ITO=1490
  14. Master of the mullet but apart from this? I told you it's irrational. I think it stems from the match against Holland at Italia 90 tbh. Obviously didn't care much for Rijkaard either for much the same reasons. So you hate a player because he got spat at? He did take being German if you know what I mean to a whole new level in that match. No, I don't.

  16. Master of the mullet but apart from this? I hate Ashley Cole as well as any diving cunt. And selfish players who are lacking talent like Oba Martins!
  17. Owen and Jonas on the bench. Championship here we come!
  18. I shouldn't post when I'm drunk. I probably bumped the wrong thread. My marriage isn't my problem. But my mother died a couple of weeks ago and my wife and my father can't stand each other. My life feels like I am getting beaten up by Mike Tyson again and again at the moment.
  19. I got my membercard and keyring today. I am (sort of) proud to be number No. 861. I have to say that I am a tad bit disappointed with what I got though. I am not too happy with the logo "Striving for a positive change". While it might be correct for the moment it is not not the slogan for a supporters club, but really more for a protest group. There are obviously loads of people not really agreeing to the original agenda of the NUSC. So why promoting it in this kind of way. Anyway, I thought a supporters club should be "above" of a club's success. What strive of change will be here if Ashley & Co. see light or pack it in? I think the current public appeacance of the NUSC is still really ill advised and loads of mistages are done. I really would offer my help, not only for foreign branches but also for at least having a bit of common sense and not just dropping one clanger after the next ...
  20. Unfortunately it all went down hill.
  21. I hope you are not referring to my post.
