  1. What is the option? Fans will be furious for some time, but at some finally start to get past things, just to get let down again. It's a vivious circle.
  2. It's nailed on then A-bloody-wooga To be fair Kris was always wrong with his last confirmations (Chimbonda, Redknapp, Barnes)... [/straw clutching]
  3. Neither can I but that's what I'm led to believe off my source. I wrongly thought Gemmill was wrong or hoping he was, I contacted a few people at lunch time, not only was he write, but I'm led to believe by them, that Wise has been told the job is his to lose. I wish and hope it's not true but everything I've been told has been 100% correct so far today. I am not doubting you, but how do you know about everything being 100% correct today without having any official confirmation? Wise will be a disaster considering his reputation among the fans. Worse than Souness.
  4. Rumour I've heard is that Ashley et al were pushing the sale of Barton to Pompey to get him off our books totally against Keegan's wishes. Keegan alledgedly told Barton to go public with his desire to stay at SJP which of course he did. Ashley has gone fucking ape-shit that, in his opinion, he's be under-mined by Keegan. Plausible I guess - if it is true then surely Keegan was exercising his right as a manager and Ashley is a twat for getting involved? Either way there's been a serious amount of 'right hand not knowing what the fuck the left is doing' since Wise and Jiminez were appointed IMO. The lack of communication has been apparent from day one of KK's reign for me. The problem is that KK looks like a nee-mark when he goes in front of the cameras and talks about transfers (which he clearly isn't closely involved with). The continental structure that MA has employed should mean that Wise/Jiminez talk to the press about transfers and KK talks to the press about whether Joey Barton's blisters have healed!! If that was true then KK was a very good liar all the time he said he was in control of thing etc. I've seen interviews where he's had to say "Sorry I don't know, you'll need to speak to Jiminez/Wise about that". That's a bit embarrassing if you ask me.. I only remember what he said when we signed players or most lately when we sold Milner.
  5. I wonder where the news station get all their information from. There must be people sneaking out of the meeting all the time and keep them informed...

  7. Gemmill is probably just negotiating his sacking for spending too much time on the internet today.
  8. The last time I sacked someone it took ages. Union representation etc etc etc. My gut instinct is that KK has not gone. Well the last time it happened in mine they were off the premises 5 minutes later, mind you i work for a US firm with different labour contracts. I imagine NUFC isnt somewhere with manager contracts that mean they cant be sacked pretty easily. Its a football club not a car factory. The sacking of the manager isn't comparable. Once the decision get rid is final they don't worry about the details who always get thrashed out much later. So if he was indeed already sacked hours ago there is no reason why the club didn't comment on it.
  9. That's what I am trying to say to myself for a couple of hours now, but I am shit nervous.
  10. It is Wise 110%. It's not even up for debate he's already been told he's the new manager. As logical as that seems it is just fucking unbelievable that someone could be so fucking stupid and disregarding of the fans' feelings. I am totally lost. This all does not make any sense at all. It so fucking stupid.
  11. At least I have actually started to do some work.
  12. Surprised hes not had his pic taken with KK or that Keegan has even commented on the signing in any of those pieces... That is what worried me as well. He's still listen among the coaching stuff though...
  13. Considering that the first rumours were that he already quit last night I rather see it as something positive. Hopefully another emotional outburst to increase the pressure to do things his way while they are begging him to rethink his decision. I f***ing worried now.
  14. They did the same last month for Moyes. Hopefully there's as much truth in this rumour. Bookies have never been correct about anything involving managerial situation in the last five years...
  15. Thanks, that's a good indication for it being rubbish.
  16. Well the press conference could easily be about the players we signed, couldn't it. At least I hope so,
  17. I don't agree with the "attacting players" bit. Of course we can high profile attract players without being in Europe (but I don't consider someone like Petrov as one) - by just throwing obscene money at them. That is how we got players in the past, like Luque, Emre and Viana. The problem is that it will really unbalance the wage structure (plus we apparently also have still over 20m of outstanding transfer fees from the past). We already have seen how someone like Milner acted about a team mate getting a better contract than him. We also still have the likes of Smith who are nothing more than fringe players but earning super star wages. What would you have to offer a star player then to make him fairly treated? Of course this balancing act to sort out mistakes from the past is painful as it means another "gap year" when other clubs seem to move away from us. I only can hope that it really works out once we have reached the point of return.
  18. I think we would have spent more if we had got other players we were in for. It wasn't the fees that restricted our spending but the contract terms we offered to players.
  19. Considering that Anal made Xisco four years older he probably increased up McFadden's value as well. Or he is just as terrible with numbers as with words...
  20. Heard this last week. Timmy is a lot better than he looks, certainly has been reasonable and played very well in his first season (06?) 50 odd appearances? Transfer has taken a twist apparently. According to Hamburg's press officer Atouba was due to fly to England for a medical but instead surprisingly turned up at the training ground and has been included into the squad for tomorrow's match now.
  21. What happened to Keegan's fragile temper? Are you two sharing the same mind-expanding drugs?
  22. Apparently a German radio station in Hamburg (NDR) reports that Newcastle will sign ex-Spurs player Timothy Atouba (Parky can probably confirm?). Not to chuffed about this if it is true. Inconsistent and a dubious character.
  23. I hope this isn't the sort of Roeder deadline promise... Shhh man! Id be happy with 3 like. Ollie Bernard, Antoine Sibierski and Ronny Johnsen then.
