I think he was not prepared to run for lost cases. He simply staid up front to pose a virtual threat but put in as little effort as possible.

Of course they did batter us for almost the entire second half snd on another day they would probably have converted some of their chances to win the game easily. Playing Miley in this kind of game without having real options on the bench shows the lack of depth of our squad. On another day we might even have nicked it on a counter with fresher legs. Anyway who would have thought it would be Dortmund qualifying after five games with Paris, the mackem-free city and Newcastle competing for the other places.

Doesn’t matter as 5 minutes would have been a fair amount of injury time anyway with time wasting and previous pelanty checks.

I have a colleague who is an ex-referee and supervising refereeing and referees in the Bundesliga at weekends including VAR nowadays. He says that’s ridiculous what is happening on the European level and it’s something he doesn’t want to be involved in.
