  2. For view i like the East stand bang on half way....atmosphere level 7...views pretty good too if you've good eyes!
  3. I think it went over his head tbh
  4. Yes we have had a good start this season, yes we look strong against a lower class league but no i am not blinded by that fact. We went down last year because certain players had no passion, no fight and more importantly no confidence. By the time AS came in the damage was done and it was irrepairable. Being relegated has given us a chance to shift the players on who didnt have the heart or the passion to fight for this club and we are better off without them. The players we are left with are the ones who will fight for the cause, who will take the team spirit and battling attitude back into the PL. The squad is not good enough no but that starting line up is in my opinion, we are not going to be pushing top half with that i agree but certainly not relegation material. Upfront is probably the area we would need improvement the most, a 20 goal a season man but they are hard come by. Bringing players in to bolster/better the squad is always a tall order as there is little quality availabe and if there is we are up against a host of other sides for the signing. So we would be relying on older players or the extreme opersite in young promising lads. Joe Ledley, Skjelbred, M.Johnson, Upson and alike are the types of players we SHOULD be looking at when we go up but we will be up against it.
  5. You not agree? Besty will love this! Where is he these days anyways?
  6. I know iv done a few posts about our starting line-up recently but the more i think of it the more i think when we go back up we will be so much better for it. United as a team and all fighting for the cause. When you look at our strongest line up (not squad), in all areas we are strong. Harper in goal with Krul as back up. Both flanks look tidy...Simpson and Raylor are good going forward and in defence, Raylor getting better with each game and the fact he has chipped in with e few goals and assists is a bonus, Simpson providing support and bombing overlaps. Enrique and Jonas had build a very good understanding before the latter got injured, i think if Jonas can add a final ball to his game we will be VERY strong on either flank. That being said Jonas's ability to run at defenders is a dangerous weapon too. Centre midfield we have Nolan, Guthrie and Smith all industrious and can pick a pass but Guthrie being the most creative out of the three. Central defence Saylor and Colo have build a good understanding and can only get better together. Upfront we have Ameobi, Carroll, Ranger, Lovenkrands and Harewood all of which are good in there own way though i personally think our best strike force would be Carroll and Harewood and id let Lovenkrands go. Obviously that is just the starting 11 and we need a bigger and stronger squad, probably another RB,CB,LB, RW, LW, ACM, ST needed to bolster the squad. ---Harper--- --Simpson---S.Taylor---Coloccini---Enrique-- --R.Taylor---Guthrie---Smith---Jonas-- ------Carroll---Harewood------ Definatly a premiership starting 11 imo.
  7. Who'd of thought we'd be saying that!?
  8. I hear you but he commands the back line, has an understanding with his defence, is experienced and wants us to go up just as much as anyone. My point was that his spirit and experience is good in the squad. Would you feel as confident with krul in there instead? I like Krul...massive potential but he is still a bit green. He should be our FA Cup keeper this season. 6 clean sheets in 9 games. End of story. Exactly! The defence must take ALOT of credit for that too though.

  10. I agree and defensively he looked solid, can tell he is experienced. Good move.
  11. Hahaha i dont think we will piss it but on this showing and in general the way we've played so far this season we can surely believe we have a great chance of winning this league and going straight back up. Carroll, Ranger, Smith, Nolan, Guthrie, S.Taylor, Enrique and Harper make for a VERY strong catalyst in our squad to work and build round. Simpson looks a good addition and we should be trying to keep him, Raylor showing promise, Coloccini getting better and then the young lads who are going to benefit from this seasons experience it can only be good. I dont expect Geremi, Barton and Butt to be here next season though.
  12. What he said! Was a great atmosphere and a great tribute to mr football.
  13. Aye, thought Butt was a bit pants and Enrique had a bit of a dodgy one at times but overall a deserved away win I think Butt proved to everyone today that he is past it. Woeful. Enrique was hit and miss...undone his good work with mistakes time and time again. Was proud and impressed that the boys faught and closed down rite till the whistle....is this the best team spirit we have seen for a long time? In fairness to Butt he's short on match practice, but I thought that he and Smithy were very impressive. Concerned about Colo injury, didn't look good. They battled hard...smith was the better, calm and collected and passed out from the back. Butt gave the ball away far too much and is slow....call it what you like...unfit whatever.........SHITE!

  15. Pld----Gd----Pts 1 Newcastle 9 +13 22 2 West Brom 9 +12 20 ----------------------------------------------- 3 Preston 9 +7 18 4 Middlesbrough 9 +5 17 5 Blackpool 9 +6 16 6 Sheff Utd 9 +4 15 ----------------------------------------------- 7 Watford 9 +2 14 8 QPR 8 +5 13 9 Cardiff 9 +3 13 10 Leicester 9 +1 13 So we are 2pts clear of WBA, 4pts clear of PNE and 5pts clear of Boro with the best GD in the league. With QPR at home midweek and Bristol City at home next weekend we could well see 6 pts added to our tally and the gap increasing further. Believing yet?
