I agree that Guthrie and Barton are probably our best 2 central midfielders but do you think if we played them together in the middle we would have as much protection for the back four as we do with Alan Smith? I think Smith being in there is why we have conceded so few.

Yeah should be a calculated percentage of current and protracted turnover. That way keeping the EPL sides stable, but you are still going to see Man U being able to totally outspend everyone else.

You cant say that mate, we all want a good cup run, we all want a bit of excitement along the way to wembly BUT we all want promotion much more than a flickering glimmer of hope in any cups. Harewood and Carroll would be good in the CCC, and with the likes of Ranger and Lovenkrands to fall back on it doesnt look to bad. Where else do you think we need to strenghten after bringing in Zurab Kishbinishbalooloo? Im thinking we could maybe do with a left-back and maybe a winger who could play on both sides?
