  1. viduka is useless and probably the most immobile striker iv ever witnessed! Yes he has that guile in the final third but only when he turns up!
  2. Well in my eyes theres no debate! He is a good player and should not be subjected to the shit some do on here! As a manc what was your impression of him? Scored a few beltin goals for yas! He's playing out of position, which is Allardyce's fault. Unfortunately, he seems to have been bought because he's 'versatile'. When I say that I mean that SAF tried him there once or twice so that means he must be. That's bollocks, he always looks like a striker playing in midfield and the fact he's almost got more cards to his name than Hallmark is indicative of that. When he plays upfront he always looks busy, quite Sheareresque in a way barring his finishing. Problem is Viduka, Owen and Martins are all going to be ahead of him in the pecking order so he'll rarely get a run out there. Shame because i think you play, smith and oba or smith and owen you'd get a good partnership. Instead we get to watch an imobile fat useless ozzie instead!!
  3. Problem is Dave, deep down you know there is more than just a passing possibility that it is true. Nobody knows that. That's another assumption based on the fact that Allardyce once worked with him. I'd be very surprised if we got Nolan, I certainly don't think he's the type of player Sam would be tracking at this point in time. you'd hope! I just think its lazy journalism imo
  4. Hahaha i thought it was justin lee colins with a hair cut!

  6. I just dont get why alot of you on here dont like him! Label him as a bad signing and sayin he's shit! I really cant get my head round it at all! For me he is a work horse and a very commited player, he fights for the course and he is a great team player. For i do undestand people comments that he has not excelled in one particular role but he has excelled more for the team than others. I just dont get the stick thats directed at him at all, and we have seen much much worse than him don the black and white jersey. I think some of you are expecting ronaldos and messis in the team, when you look at our current plight he is a very good player for us! Yes he should of scored more and contributed more, but you could say that about virtually the whole team, play the boy upfront and be patient, once results come his goals will come. Id like to see him break his duck against man u and you know, i think he mite just.
  7. agreed! taylor and faye together works!
  8. nah the media are sooo predictable mate
  9. This is where we put an end to all this shite once and for all.......fuck the bbc, fuck the politically bent journalists fuck everyone who loves to see our club having the piss takin out of it! We stand tall, together and with belief.......come on lads stick it up them! 3-0 Owen hattrick anyone!?
  10. After the upsets and the media meh thats been spouted about our club recently, plus the politically moved screening of our game should be a massive incentive to go out and tonk stoke....brush them off, stick it up the journalists and say haway lads this could be our year! Positive thinkin! 3-0
  11. Hes absolutely shit and another wonderfully fabricated pile of shit from the southern parts of the journalism world! pssshhh
  12. Well i agree about barton, i like the lad, i really do, in his best days at city he was box to box, created, faught hard (on the pitch ) and scored goals, so if he can sort his head out and do a nicky butt and come back stronger and wiser id be pleased. As for wes brown i do rate him he is solid and can pass the ball, would bring best outa tayls imo. I like your thinkin mate, though i dont wanna be accused of living in the past i do think its a good idea. If only big sam had a ounce of offensiveness in his game plan! Though i think this is our best team..... ----------Given------------ Beye Taylor Faye N'Zogbia Milner Butt* Emre Duff Smith** Martins *Barton if he can sort himself out **Dean Ashton pleeez! If we got ashton we could implement smith as our holding midfielder, just give him a bit more freedom than big sam has when used there! And i say charlie at left back because i think him and duff will link up well!
  13. Do i have to be gramatically and literaly correct to have an opinion on HEA nowadays!
  14. Amid alot and i mean alot of blah blah blah on here im just wondering what each indivual wants...where do we strengthen, when do we buy, whats wrong with our game plan, what do you want to see? I'll throw mine in the hat... A centre half namely wes brown, probably the best available. A solid midfielder maybe nolan but im sure he names just banded about from shite journalism. A creative midfielder whod have to be arshavin, he's available, interested and high quality, and a striker....dean ashton. We have pace in martins and he is a quality player, he's only 22 remember he's still learning and i think him and ashton would be great. Remember taylor is only 21 and by no means the finished article and still prone to a few errors and flaws but he dont get shit off alot of people on hea! That being said i id only get rid of shola and if someone bid for owen id snap there hand off! I think we got to look at when sir bobby was hea too, 1st 2 seasons we were 11th then we improved, he had time and we stuck by him, so i think all those fickle fucks out there should wind there neck in and get behind the team and big sam and be patience!! Rome wasnt built in a day! But hey thats just my view
  15. To be fair he's a decent player and would probably do well hea, if emre was to go tho id hope wed have a little bit more about us to go for arshavin instead, though nolan wouldnt be a bad signing imo.
  16. Would be a good move, iv always rated the lad...hes got a nice touch too. I wonder how much we bid initially or even if it was just an enquiry? I personally think we go back to them with 3-4 mil we will get him....from a business sence and with the glazier there....4 mil now or nothing in 6 months would sound attractive!
  17. Well i personally think we'll take the game to them, the romance of the fa cup always shines through. Plus its a much needed break from the premier league, thus giving us a platform to perform and kick on......though i wouldnt be suprised if we slip up.....i also wouldnt be suprised if we hammer them! Watch this space boyz
  18. Is anyone else gettin tired of the constant bullshit on hear???? Smith and barton are shit bla blah blah, martins and milner are shit blah blah blah, we are shit blah blah blah......Oh yeah Big sam out blah blah blah! How fickle are some on hea and even more so in st james park! Smith is a quality player yes we havnt seem him score goals YET but he has been one of our most commited players, and when your clubs in the mire you need that! As for barton yes he came with baggage and attitude problems, but his performance have been poor becasue of his fitness! He was braught back to early! Martins is a great player but a player who needs confidence around him and a partner who he's gonna play with for majority of the season and smith is my choice. Milner well.....he's got great ability but another that needs confidence. That being said....no we arent shit, were struggling to get going, and no big sam shouldnt be sacked, he needs time and money. So i conclude in saying this.... We as a club need to lose this "we want it now" attitude, we are still in the process of being restructured, so yes give big same money, not alot but enough to bring in wes brown and dean ashton and maybe a creative midfielder, id say 20 mil...its a gamble to buy now but we do need to buy and we are in a position where we can. So back him
  19. i'm sorry but you lost me with this claim. how exactly does no goals in 20 games equate to best performer? fuck me ragged He is probably the only player who has given 100% in every game, he has wore his heart on his sleeve and faught for the cause through out the shite! No, he hasnt scored but he will once he is played upfront consistently and not moved into midfield! the best of smithy will come after his 1st goal! And in responce to sammynb's comments about duff and emre, its pretty simple really, we are resigned to playin charlie at left back and duff has now got the chance to prove his worth, u gotta give him a chance, and too with emre he is the only one with an ounce of creativity in our side! When will some of you guys stop being to fickle and over expectant? "Iwant it now" attitude has fucked us over far too much! Now we need patience...
  20. Whats so hard to understand about are situation? We got rid of dead wood and built a defence that SHOULD be capable of keepin it solid at the back, our midfield should be tight and creative and our strikeforce is potentially lethal! When will Big Sam learn? Beye looks to be the best right back we have for years! Though we will see an even better player next year with a full season behind him, and he seems to be adapting pretty quick. Cacapa again looks solid and authoritive and with time will become more accustamed to the premier league, though not a one for the future. Enrique is again one of the best left backs we've seen at st james (potentially) and i think once he learns the language and adapts will be first choice next year. And whilst he's adapting young charlie can only get better. Talkin of young lads tayls will get better, once played with the SAME partner and build a understanding. Once that is in place i can see, n'zogbia linking up with duffers well down the left while beye and milner continue there good work down the right. That there should be the basis we need to build from, with a consistant back four and persistant danger outwide from our wide men, we look at midfield upwards, for me nicky butt and emre should be our middle two. Butts been consistency solid and performed well for us for the last 2 seasons and should be accompanied with emres creativity and guile in our engine room. Joey Bartons and non starter.... Upfront is a funny one for me, For im an oba fan i am slowly growin worried about his confidance, he needs to start hitting the back of the net and get his chin up, maybe if we were playin well as a unit we'd see the real oba martins scoring those goals we seen last year. The boy needs confidence around him. And his partner should be alan smith, probably our best 'performer" this season, works hard and is solid should be given 10 games upfront where he isnt moved to midfield during the game. Owen comes back into the fold and is given the rest of the season to prove if oba dont start scoring. It isnt really hard to understand is it? We as geordies have come to love and know the football we should be watching and right now with alladyce's methods and tactics are really sending alot on confused signs from with in the set up. If he is to prove a good choice for us and i still think he can, he needs to adapt his methods and listen to the fans, a mixture of his "brand" and our "flamboyancy" can turn us into a force. Consistence is the biggest factor, in selection, tactics and in attitude, and management, if he is gonna stay and he should, he really needs to listen. 2008 will bring a real test of character for us and i expect a top 8 finish.
  21. Was thinking last night we're kind of lacking in that area now, although Geremi struck one quite nicely last night. Oh for the days where we had Nobby, Robert and Shearer standing over the ball... Exactly... our delivery into the box has been lacking for a while. Freekicks, corners, crossing in general. Alright, Milner and Martins are new to the 4-3-3 way of playing, but their delivery from crosses could be a lot better. As it happens, Eremenko played as part of a front 3 at Lecce, so the system wouldn't be alien to him. Is he a CM/FM legend though? That's the deal maker or breaker for me Ive wondered this myself, seems to play anywhere across the middle for russia but he plays a the right sided player in the front three at his club, for me he is definatly a player we should be moving heaven and earth for! Top class! And i agree he is a wee bit beardsleyesque!
  22. Anyone know if and when the tickets for stoke will go on sale to general public? and how much they will be?
