Going off what i seen yesterday and the addition of coloccini, im actually quite positive about our game with the mancs, plus the fact rooney and ronaldo are out too Given Beye Coloccini Taylor N'zogbia Milner Jonas Guthrie Duff Oba Owen Pretty good imo Hopefully we will have another creative midfielder and striker in before then too!

All in all a very encouraging performance from the boys, our attacking players showed some determination today, milner worked hard as per and his final ball was actually better than it has been barring a few poor crosses. Duff was excellant, beating his man on a number of occasions, turn of pace and flashes of skill...very pleasing! Jonas was tremendous today too, such a high work ethic and a great touch, was nice to see him win that great tackle in second half too. Zoggy played well, dont shoot me down but i think witha bit of hard work and positional training he could actually end up being a LB Guthrie looked solid, oba worked hard and chased everything, shame he didnt really have a go at goal but it'l come.

Well going off duff performnce yesterday id have to agree, albeit he played up front. His touch was sharpand he beat his man on a number of occasions, he showed some skillfull touchs too and looks confident. We have a small dilema now, jonas played on left yesterday and looked comfortable but was itching to be on the right hand side where he strived, he kept drifting inside, so for me its either zoggy or duffers on the left and jonas on the right, thought itd be a shame to drop milner as he has looked good pre-season too. Tough one....just a thought but doesnt anyone else think jonas could be the spark in centre mid we've been looking for? Oh yeah and butt was poor yesterday imo

Yet there's still a twenty foot likeness of him on the window of the club shop which shows it's not just about what he does on the pitch. He's worth an absoloute mint to us in terms of marketing. Once he goes I can't imagine Japanese kids buying a Newcastle top with 'Taylor' printed on it, or Cacapa getting on the cover of PES09. Plus his recent form is seven goals in nine games. Agree 100% mate we were mugged and im not suprised he is on big wages, but the boy is passionate about football, he's not one to be happy with performing shit, you could see he was frustrated last year and im sure he will move heaven and earth to justify his fee and wages. Once his 1st goal comes that will lift his game imo.
