1-3 Shola, Ba and Barton I think sunderland will finish 11th and we will finish 7th

Reading some of the unbelievable drosh spilling out onto some peoples keyboards is shocking really. 0-0 at home against a team who have finished top 4 for years and who are pushing for the league this year is a decent result, not bad, not good....decent. A clean sheet too. We defended very well but unfortunatly that was all our game plan contained. We had nothing going forward and that is a slight worry but then again it was the 1st game of the season against tough opposition. Im pretty sure that given 4-5 games we will see a brand of football develope. Colo, S.Taylor and Jonas had good games. Tiote and Cabaye were OK. Will be a beast of a midfield pairing once they get used to each other. Tiote sitting deep and letting Cabaye get forward and create. Obertan and Best looked lively when they came on. Best should be ahead of Shola. Ba looks like he could come good with a bit more service. On the subject of service....there was none. I thinks its going to become a problem who to play on the flanks. Marveaux, Jonas, Obertan and Barton...nice to have options though and when all are fit we will have a pretty strong bench. Good result but we could and should of won this. Defended well and that was the main part of our game. Didn't really have muc h goin forward though although Ba looked decent. Ben Arfa back, new strikers and LB and we will be a good side. Although we didn't win there are many positives out of today. We are gonna muller the mackems next week. Obertan looked good, Barton looked hungry, Cabaye looked tidy but didn't impose himself enough.

What do they know? Me and my love for the club and expert tactical knowledge KNOWS we will finish in the top half.

I dont think we will get beat. Arsenal are going through a bit of shit at the moment too. Gervinho there only significant signing so far. Fabregas, Nasri, Wilshere and Diaby OUT. My honest opinion on Enrique.... When he first arrived here he looked awful, clumbsy, panicy and a potential flop. However, in that first season he did also show signs that if he settled he could become a good LB. He did settle and did establish himself as one of the PL's best LB's but lets be honest, Evra, Cole, Baines and Clichy aside, there isnt many quality LB's in england. I think he was a GOOD LB but not great, would of loved to have kept him here but losing him is no big deal for me. He didnt want to stay and you can argue that its the owners fault he wanted to leave, you'd be right but if he doesnt want to fight for the cause then he had no place here. Pieters or M'Bengue as 1st choice targets, im leaning towards Pieters. Failing that then it has to be between Warnock and Shorey.

See, also from a dutch mate, Pieters is similar to Riise. Strong defensively, likes to get forward and a good left foot. Hard worker too. 10 caps for Holland says it all really. Well worth 5mil+ imho.

I can see one striker with gosling or barton in the midfield with tiote and cabaye A 433 come 451 ay? It may be what AP goes with rather than the "standard" 442. Personally if we go that way then i'd imagine it would be Cayabe behind the striker not Barton or Gosling.
