With the FA Cup Final being 515 on a Saturday that is a proper break from tradition that. Personally I'm not against it. Spain don't have a default time now for their league games, Italy still have 2pm on a Sunday, but wors was always 3pm on a Saturday. Personally I only get to 2 or 3 aways a season, normally London ones, I actually sometimes do more pre-season aways than league ones so it might be a bit selfish but I love 530 Saturday tea time kick offs. The 3pm kick offs are often shit, the atmosphere isn't as good as the later games, and while I'm a traditionalist in most footballing things, if the default time for English football kick off times was 530 I'd be really pleased. I reckon it's changed since Euro 2000. I've never been able to get a drink at European game. Having said that, I was usually pretty well smashed before getting to the game. Euro 2008 I specifically remember the krauts drinking in their seats.

The thing is when you get to the size Chelsea are now even without Roman they'd be difficult to compete with. They're almost self sufficient now. Their annual income is £225m more than any Italian team, almost £100m more than Liverpool and Tottenham, that's nothing to do with Abramovic, that is their income end of story. When you build a club and put corporate structures in place like they have, they're there to stay, hopefully we can compete one day.

Think it'll be a mental game, and I think Chelsea will win 3-2 or 4-2. Chelsea are much better than some of the sides that have beaten Barcelona this season. 9/2 for a Chelsea win is absurd. They've played Chelsea about 8 times in the last 10 years and their biggest win against them is 2-1. Not a foregone conclusion. I thought Chelsea would win, would be just wor luck if they won the fucka and we came 4th.

I disagree he was the epitome of class. His form only dipped after trips to Peru, he was much too good for Aston Villa, and the fans loved him there too. It wasn't really a dig at Solano as such but I could see why Duff would get a nomination ahead of him as he was a top performer for a period in a side which won things (including the league). Stand by what I say about Nobby being a 'homer' though. Saw him have too many mint games away to class him as a homer. Duff wasn't brilliant at Chelsea imo, which is why his value depreciated to the tune of £12m in just three seasons. It's a game of opinions though, and I think Duff was fantastic for Blackburn.

Warren Barton is epitome of a 100%er but I'll be honest, he was fuckin shite in his first 2 years here. The crowd didn't like him, that's a washed under the carpet fact of life.
