  1. Aye I'd agree but THE anomoly has to be Uruguay. The population is the same as the North East and Cumbria, 2 World Cup's and third place in the last one.
  2. More names from the dustbin. Great memory. A quick look at Wiki shows in 5 seasons of football between them, the sum total of McCoist, Colquhoun and Robertson's goals in Tyne & Wear was EIGHT. Thinking about it, Mark McGhee was a reasonable signing, but we should never really sign players from Scotland again. We've not had a goodun since Jinky Jim, and when was that Leazes? 1970?
  3. Nowt to do with the fact he scored 0 in 28 games then. The mad thing is he scored 72 league goals in 3 seasons, came to the toon and couldn't even get one. Maybe he had other things on his mind? Am pretty sure thats right about him, I worked with his cousin in Edinburgh. He said Robertson's missus was playing away in Edinburgh, thats why they came down, new start and all all that. He reckoned she should be buried in a Y shaped cofffin. John Kay was Scotch as well wasn't he? All those players who were stars for Hearts who came to England were shite. Mind that John Colquhon at Sunderland as well, also Derek Ferguson, what a load of shite.

  5. In private to people in the pub, not to dafties on here. Can't rubbish the chances on here with little yids poppin the nuts up every so often.
  6. Hearts could've won it if that nobhead hadn't have sacked Burley after winning the first 8 games.
  7. They won't. Any phoenix club would be allowed directly into the SPL. Given the money that they generate for the league as a whole in sponsorship and TV money then it would be very foolish for the SPL to exclude them. This is Britain, not the Argentina. We'll see and don't underestimate the real possibility of Rangers FC 1873 going out of existence. As Alex says it's one of those subjects people talk about but no-one cares, unless you're from Glasgow or Ireland. They are an insignificance in football always have been always will be.
  8. ...and yet in the prediction thread you had it down as 2-2? http://www.toontasti...e/page__st__600 I'd take us to draw 2-2 at the Nou Camp. I couldn't write we'll lose. If my predictions came true we'd have 0 defeats this season.
  9. If Rangers go bust completely they'll reform but the biggest winners could be St Mirren and Partick in the short term. They'd have to come through the jock league ladder can't see them getting 40,000 against the likes of Alloa.
  10. Rangers are probably the biggest club this has ever happened to, not that that's saying much like, and I'm surprised no one stinking rich has come from no where to bail them out. You'd think a club with a claimed worldwide fanbase would have at least one supporter rich enough and passionate enough for this to happen. Would never happen to a truly big club in my view. If the figure is £75m and no one comes forward, I can't see without huge external investment that HMRC would allow it to pass and that could be the end of Rangers. Would be a great day in my view, they are half of the most deluded, bigoted, racist, vile football scene that I know of on earth, maybe it would help them grow up. There has long been the view that Rangers supporters, and Rangers the club are so entwined in Scottish life, presbyterianism, and the Scottish system that they are one of the core things in Scottish life from the highest court downward, well we're about to find out how important they are. Will be a disgrace if HMRC let them off the hook and if they do I'd be inclined to agree with their perceived privileged status in Scotland.
  11. My biggest worry with this happening is Celtic really pushing to be allowed into the English leagues, no wonder they're so chuffed they've not managed to win a 2 horse race since '08. They're both bottom half championship teams tbh totally irrelevant, I feel bad for the fans that aren't total cunts but the "54 league titles biggest clubs ever" cunts can do one. We'd win the SPL every year forever if we were in it. Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough were invited to join in 1991, not many remember that.
  12. I'm really pleased Rangers are going in to administration, they are a disgrace of a club and no matter how bad things get they deserve everything coming their way. Although they've at least on the public side attempted to clean things up, 120 years of bigotry are ingrained in the very fibre of the football club. They are not a big club despite what the liver damage jock mafia tell you, if they went bust completely no one would notice or care, other than Celtic.
  13. 1 Schmeichel 2 Jelle van Damme 3 Pearce 5 Emre 6 Terry 7 di Canio 8 Aaron Hunt 9 Suarez 10 Baros Manager: Big Ron Coach: Aragones howay we need a racist centre half and a racist left winger, Downing always struck me as a racist, he'll have to go in on those grounds if no one comes up with anything.
  14. Canny side that so far though.
  15. Steve Bruce? Niall Quinn? Both utter cunts like. Niall Quinn is a lovely bloke, comes across as the epitome of a well brought up gentleman. Bruce he's a geordie he managed the mackems, he turned us down allegedly in 2004, but he's not a cunt, all he did as Sunderland manager was stick up for his employers as anyone would do.
  16. Racist XI 1 Schmeichel 3 Pearce 5 Emre 6 Terry 7 di Canio 8 Aaron Hunt 9 Suarez 10 Baros Manager: Big Ron Coach: Aragones Anymore...?
  17. Before a ball was kicked I said we'd lose 4-0 or 5-0, that's just me having an understanding of football. Anyone thinking we'd get a result was living in cloud cuckoo land. Playing with Perch and Guthrie is like shagging with a big wart on your cock. No one wants it, and you can't just pretend you'll get a result because you won't.
  18. I've always liked him me, straight talking and honest. All you want from a bloke, I feel the same about Peter Reid, in fact Roy Keane is the only ex Sunderland manager I genuinely can't stand.
  19. Imagine if we lose 5-1 at home to Sunderland, would be a forgone conclusion we'd be sacking the manager. Was inevitable. It would be a perfect step up for Clarkie on his logical path to become Newcastle manager, although the Wolves people are general pragmatic and I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Megson, Grayson or Warnock are mentioned.
  20. true, and aye I know, part of being a good effective footballer is attitude. We won't ever know what went wrong with him. He was the best player on the pitch against us for Croatia Zagreb twice, I suppose we thought we were signing someone like what Modric is today. He just didn't apply himself properly nice ball for Shearer against Tottenham at OT though. I'll never forget a night game here against Derby the ball came across the box and Maric just had the keeper to beat, Shearer didn't trust him to score so he literally pushed him out the way so he could put it in
  21. We were all over them till we 0-2 up, then as happens in every game when you're 2-0 up the opposition had a go particularly when they're the home team. Keegan's Newcastle operated in an era where tactics weren't as key in English football as they are now. What about his second spell with the 4-3-3? That was a lot more attacking and fluid than we play now. Aye and we didn't win for 10 games.

  23. I'd be surprised if Ben Arfa is still here next season, Pardew doesn't like keeping things in house does he? I thought there was absolutely no need for him to come out in public and say Benny hasn't really grasped English football yet. He was only playing 4 weeks of 10/11 and minus injuries 4 months this season. I think he just doesn't fancy him. Pards likes attacking football which is a positive, but the way he plays the side means the players can be as attacking as they like, as long as they work like fuck, in my view Pards thinks the penny will never fully drop with Benny, and he'll be away by July. That's my prediction. The game was exactly like I said it would be, it's humiliating losing 5-0, but completely expected with a centre midfield containing two Watford level players. Perch, I mean it wasn't like he was doing complicated things wrong, FIVE YARD passes, TEN YARD passes and he couldn't dee it. Guthrie it's a shame cos he's got reasonable technique, but hes too slow and thinks too slow, against players like Modric and Krancjar who are so good they know which passes they are making before the ball is even at their feet, well it was fucking obvious, people saying we had a chance are just deluded. The fact is the squad is not big enough, we need someone to compete with Cabaye and Tiote, are we a big enough club to have decent competition for places? We should be. Are you sure about that? Our football under Pardew seems very efficient, but I can't really say there's any indications there about him liking to play attacking football. I am sure aye, he goes away to places like Wolves and takes the game to them, we nearly always have a go.

  25. That's a good point, but we'd STILL be behind Villa. How can we make double the money they did 8 years ago yet now the shade us?! It's the fatty effect.
