I haven't enjoyed a season as much as this one since....
McFaul replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
92/93 was the best season by a million miles. I'd put this one about 6th or 7th in my most enjoyable seasons list. -
Oi statto pipe down with your miserable pish a bit yeah? "Shite crowd, no hope etc... " We've lost 2 in London in the last 12 so pipe down yeah?

This mackem has been prosecuted today and admitted he racially abused on twitter. That being the case why has Paul Wyn never been done?

The both of yous are nee mini me's lets get that oot the way right now!

Who says I'm fuckin 19st?!?!! If I went over 17st I'd jump off the Tyne Bridge. I'm 16st7 which is heavier than I usually am. 19st pmsl. Chinese whispers roond here are no cunts business. I'm the same as you 15st is perfect for my size 6ft2, and I look like a rentboy at 13st etc..
-
If we did come 4th we'd be in the second seeds I reckon, meaning we'd have a really hard qualifying match against the likes of Valencia, PSV, Rangers etc..
-
Funnier things have happened than us coming 4th this season like.

A few people said that, was just what I was wearing for the gym, some adidas shorts for the record, and purple football sock iirc. Is that her pet name for it or yours? Hahaha more like purple hub cap. Jonathan you have to order numbers and letters on ebay and the club shop fit them free.

I got one before the ANC, £40. I'm a big cunt so got XL, it's quite tight fitting but not round your midriff more round your shoulders but I have big shoulders you'll probably be alright.

I'd rather watch PaulWyn have sex for 5 minutes than sit through 3 hours of that shite. It's staggeringly pathetic, awful sport. I bet the League Cup Final gets a bigger true audience world wide than the Superbowls, in fact if you're all honest there'd have been more people worldwide watching The Toon v Villa.

Him and Souness (both cunts) are easily the best two pundits. Andy Gray has hardly been missed, I'd say Keys has been missed more than him. If Darren Bent had more composure we'd have went in 1-3 down at HT, tremendous from Timmy though, has to have a strong shout as a contender for Premiership team of the year. Perch was competent and fuck me what a goal that would've been, Guthrie did well, all in all not too different from the QPR game, shit game but under strength Newcastle just about deserved it. We'll be rocking when the midfield is back, all looking rosey at the minute. pmsl @ Villa singing shit support ma lord at us. Anyone see that Celtic gimp in the Leazes? Donno where he sat but he was at the bookies at half time. Would you go to a Celtic game in a toon top? Attention seeking wanks.

All the space I could see was in the posh seats like. And I can't see how many empty seats are between the away fans and ours But Arsenal were closer to a sell out for their televised fixture on a cold day too, in this economy, against Blackburn who have shitter saway support. There was no cunt at Arsenal, probably about 35000 just look at the pictures and ignore what is published. London is a lot wealthier place than the North East, and the recession is being felt harder here than down there. Plus they have respected owners, have won 6 trophies in the last 10 years, and are a global club.
-
I'm less confident about a result here than I am in any of our remaining games, so I've written it off, it'll be alright though all the other sides around us have a really difficult 4 week spell where we could well emerge in 4th place. Games like Sunderland at home and Swansea away are the pivotal ones, Wolves/Norwich/Bolton you 100% expect to win.

49000 on a freezing day, people losing their jobs left right and centre, against a club who bring a shit away support (I can't see how many they had from my seat by the way), when the game is live on telly? Fucking great crowd, one 99% of clubs would die for. Rangers laughably claim to be a bigger club and better support than us, yet only 17,000 were at their game at Ibrox yesterday. Did anyone see that kid in the bumble bee Celtic top in the Leazes End. The fucking idiot. He seemed to think he could come in SJP with a Celtic top on without even a comment the disrespectful attention seeking twat. Me and me ripped it out of him and his pals at half time at the bookies. I said in a scotch accent "Sellick en Rangers are eh two biggest clubs in eh werruld" and they all looked at us and went "aye" "aye" straight faced. A bigger bunch of deluded complete bamps you will never ever see.

who are you ? Are you some sort of 12 year old gimp from Singapore ? Aside of that, if you don't understand how football success has been achieved by every successful club since football began............then you must be a 12 year old from Singapore [especially one who thinks the Halls and Shepherd brought an end to decades of trophies and glory]. Laughable. Edit unfortunately, there seems to be more posters attracted here of a Newcastle Online mentality. Hopefully not.

Aye fair point but Cabaye and Tiote would be their best players. We'll still piss it, they're shit at bigger clubs in bigger stadiums. Arsenal scored 3 in 7 mninutes against them, we'll be sweet. They've only lost twice away from home this season. We've only lost twice in our last 16 home games. Man Utd hadn't lost in 20 away games when we beat them.

Pre match entertainment 30 mins stand up with Howard Wilkinson and Tony Pulis. I was at that 0-2 game in 93. Mind there was about 500 toon in the Holte End, and the police got them out and marched them round the pitch "geordies here geordies there geordies every fuckin where nananannananaaaaaa". These 15000 claims haha our gates were far farrrrrrrr better than theirs throughout the 80s despite being top 10 once. In fact we were top 10 once between 1977 and 1994.

I barely look at their support as humans after being in the Villa end that day. They're so devoid of personality, character, individuality en masse. They are basically a shit club. Just boring. Thinking about them bores me, they are sensationally pointless and irrelevant. They're like a team, Fulchester United or Roy of The Rovers team would play, just there but no one cares, literally no one too. What I'm saying is, regardless how many trophies they won pre 1900, they just have no identity, none at all. I might not like them but Liverpool have an identity, Leeds have an identity, the likes of West Ham and Millwall have an identity, Man Utd do, and in my view as much as any team we certainly do. Villa? Fuck off. Just a non event of a club, in a city full of Britain's most boring cunts. I think even looking at nufc.com emphasises how boring they are. In all of the league games between us in our history the 73 at Villa Park have seen 210 goals, then 72 at SJP have seen 255. Also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Premier_League_records_and_statistics#All-Time_FA_Premier_League_Table they've drawn by far the most games in the history of the Premiership, which again emphasises my point about how boring they are. In the dictionary where it says boring it should have n.b Aston Villa beside it. Complete and utter nothing club, they won the European Cup, three years later they're averaging 14,000, Forest won it twice and they're not a big club neither. In fact when they played the final in Rotterdam they could've had 30,000 fans there, just 15,000 Villa fans saw them become champions of Europe, in the days where to win it you could often get away with just two difficult ties in the whole competition, see Celtic 1967, Forest 1979, Villa 82, Liverpool 84. I have more respect for Sunderland than these, better support and a bigger true fanbase. Shit club. Nothing club. £200 season tickets, not much bigger than Boro in my view, if you take away trophies won pre 1900. As for the game start Ba and Cisse and we win easily. Apparently N'Zogbia was class the other neet, keep him quiet and we'll be alright, he likes coming back though, mind that Wigan game 2-2 draw. Don't fuck about with formations neither, 4 4 2 all out attack and they'll crumble we're better than them in just about every position, although Shay is back and I hope he gets a class reception.

I agree they're two separate debates, but Ashley's decision making even down to the moving of Level 7 seemed almost antagonistic and there are many reasons I will never find anything endearing about the man. Despite standing amongst toon fans for a year, he has never grasped and took on board what he needs to gain the favour of the support. Communication. We've never really known what's gone at the club through official channels for years, Mort was decent at PR but he was away soon, and we've got this fuckin glorified specky croupier who none of us trust. All of these things add up to people taking a while to admit by hook or by crook they have done some things reasonably well. While it's true his exposure is a lot greater than FFS or SJH, neither of those two were near to having a personal wealthy of £100m let alone £1bn like Ashley has as well.

World Cup 2010, Don’t wanna see ya slip past, Think about the future, Surely it’s the right time, I wanna see you win it in my lifetime, 1966 Bobby Moore and that, Geoff Hurst put it to the turf – we applauded that, There was no ignoring that, Nobody could stop him, I got myself an England shirt, I’m gonna rock it … The worst lyric I've ever seen in my life.

We are artificially supported now though in a different but still very real sense. If we got a run in the CL we'd probably shoot right up again automatically on turnover (to what exact level I dont know). If Ashley managed that on a shoestring I doubt he'd be getting credit for it though from Leazes, even though Leazes is only arsed about turnover to begin with. The uplift in turnover is only realistically available if you get in the CL from where we are now. What's being advocated now is spend more for the prospect of that. Ashley's not arsed to because he's already nuts deep to the tune of 100's millions of debt and 'financing' a CL push might not come off. His exposure is massive already whereas S&H's exposure was about a million. Ashley's fortune is 'linked' to the club in a way Shepherd and Hall's never was. Ashley could still easily afford to do something now as his wealth is so great, but he's not going to because it's not worth the risk (to him). Turnover means fuck all to him because it could be massive and still cost him in real terms as long as theres more out than in and no external financing. For S&H when turnover is in the 10's of millions on a 1 million £ investment and theres lots of external financing you're laughing, frankly. If it fails, what the fuck have you lost? Nah that's a good post. I will say although he did well for NUFC I always thought John Hall was a cunt. I mind when we signed Andy Cole every interview for weeks he mentioned he and Lady May were guarantors for the £1.75m transfer fee. So fuck! He got £80m out of the club.

my point has always partly been that we are not seen as such a big club, from outside the area, that we are, and Mike Ashley doesn't realise, like most others outside the area, how big a club we are either, even if he was a football man which he isn't. Which doesn't help at all, and is a huge plus for the ex regime. They made the club what it was, because they knew what it could be and had the right approach and made the right decisions - not all, but mostly the right ones. We need trophies, to show the outside world, how big NUFC are, the lack of trophies is the reason nobody else sees the club for what it is. As Stevie says, it only emphasises what the ex regime did more strongly. People seriously underestimate what they did for the club, even now. Staggering, especially among older supporters who ought to have known better. Couldn't agree more. If people lived in Newcastle for a year, in Manchester for a year, in Leeds for a year, in Liverpool for a year and in London for a year. I think every single of them who wasn't a cunt, would say there really is something special about Newcastle United. Shay Given for instance said when he was at Man City, that take the finance away and there's no comparison between NUFC and MCFC in terms of fans and what it means to the area. This is why when I speak to an OOT it takes me a while to appreciate and accept that they have a clue, as arrogant as that sounds.
