He's got nee luck, he played County Cricket till he was 23 then he was a heroin addict up to the age of 25, and fucked everything up he's now 38 in terrible health. Pacemaker the works. His wifes always ill, and his kids aren't well, and he's had at least a month off in the last 6 month. He would be expected to bring in at least 70k over that period, but he's only brought in 15k since May, whereas without sounding like a cunt, I'm on 20k less than basic (although still a London wage) and I've brought in 21k fees alone for December and January. I just feel sorry for the poor cunt, he's got no luck at all.

Hamann as a bloke and a personality was made for Liverpool FC. Completely humourless self righteous robot of a man. However, I mind his debut for us in a friendly against Juventus FC and he scored one of the best goals I've ever seen from 45 yards.

Cattermole and Bendtner bailed for damaging 10 cars in Newcastle on the night of December 6th. Fucking arseholes, see thats the problem with Wearside being Britain's biggest shithole they all fuckin come here the tramps.

I've worked for London companies for 5 years now. I moved to a new company and get a massive pay increase in March, basically my old manager left my old company, and was made a director of a new company. He did the old Bryan Clough crack and brought one or two of us with him, and I was his Peter Taylor. Well I'm on holiday for the year now, and I've done well in December with lots of money already made for January too so I'm safe. However, the MD rang me this morning and they've sacked Dave puts me in a radge position, I'm sure Dave will go elsewhere and ask me to join him, but I'm not moving for less money. Shit time for him to lose a 45k a year job as well ffs.

I've had an UNBELIEEEEEVABLY shit betting time recently after a decent year last year. Last night absolutely typified everything. My usual rule is NEVER put a bet on at odds of 1/3. Fulham were 1/5. I had Macclesfield 10/11, Besiktas 10/11 and Fulham 1/5 £40 on basically £180 back. Literally waiting for Fulham's game to end 3 minutes of stoppage time Fulham 2 OB 1 92:45 by 92.58 it's 2-2 astonishingly bad luck. Anyway hopefully putting them on here will change my luck, I've done £40 tonight on Tottenham-1, Hannover and PSV and I'll get £150 back. I can't imagine why this bet won't work like, but I always say that.

Partly my fault this and fair player to the kid 100%, but this post, I don't think I've ever looked at a computer and ended up with my head hurting because I couldn't stop belly laughing for about 10 minutes. Incredibly childish but words can't even describe how hilarious I found this at first. that would be your knitting patterns then, as you got nowt better to do than accuse people of being someone they aint The only way to apease him would be to post a photo of yourself doing something we'd ask you to do. ..... Any chance of a picture with a sign saying 'I'm not Paul Wyn'? That's why I was saying post a pic saying "LOOK AM NOT FUCKIN PAUL WYN", but conveniently he's one of 2% of 31 year old men who don't have a mobile phone. there you go

The Beatles are comfortably the most overrated band in human history. Funny enough I had that debate 2 weeks ago in town and everyone agreed. There were bands in the 60's who weren't 1/100th as famous as the beatles in the sixties who were better than them. However, that's my taste plenty people agree with me, the same as plenty people massively respect the beatles for no other reason than it's popular to do so. What a load of shite. A load of shite to you. To me and to other people The Beatles are the most overrated band in human history, but it's popular to like them, and some people obviously think they're excellent. I can't understand why myself. Too many peoples musical opinions are based on what NME suggest is good and bad. I've never read NME in my life. Who said you have?

Purest form of "pony" but it's all opinion.

One of my favourite Oasis songs has no words actually apart from some southern woman saying, beautiful....I'm all for it.
-
That's my opinion! I can't however say as absolute fact your musical taste is right or wrong. It's like if I said to you Dawn Thewlis is the best looking woman in the world, I can say it but it's not a definitive fact. Yes but you tell us that people who like other stuff have ulterior motives ("cos it's popular", "cos the NME tells them to"). I've got news for you, no band was more popular to say you liked in the 90s than Oasis. And the NME were MASSIVE proponents of Oasis. Fuck knows who told you to like Jimmy Nail mind. Woman's Own? I didn't say all people, just a certain type of person, there's many of them not just people who have posted in this thread. I also wrote I appreciate there are more people who like The Beatles because they think they're excellent, I can't see it but music is in the ear of the beholder.

You're good at using calculators and pie charts, but I don't think your musical taste is up to much. Although Oasis very much respected the Beatles, could you tell me five songs which were anything at all similar to a Beatles song in terms of what they actually sounded like. I think when you talk about music it's like when CT talks about football history. Stevie man, you like Jimmy Nail and Phil Collins ffs. And you once argued that U2 arent safe MOR rock. You know nowt about what is and isn't good, but you know what you like. You then mistakenly think that what you like must be right, and tell everyone else that they're only doing what they do cos they think it's popular. Canny stupid tbh. There are parts of Oasis songs that are direct lifts from Beatles songs. They may or may not have been Noel tipping a wink, but he did so in the knowledge that he was ripping them off left, right and centre. The outro to She's Electric. The intro to Don't Look Back in Anger (albeit a rip off of a John Lennon song). You won't spot a lot of the stuff they nicked from other bands, cos you're ignorant about music in general. What part of this......... ...suggests that what I think is good, is definitively good and everything else is shit? There's no definitive good and bad in music, it's pure opinion, but quite clearly there are an amount of people, classic examples in this thread who I believe and I might be wrong who like specific music as it's popular to do so. Saying anybody is ignorant about music in general is ignorant in itself, because if I held your opinions on music you'd be saying other wise. See above. Kind of contradicts your latest argument, doesn't it. Bi-polar. Eh? Contradicts your initial point, but don't worry most people won't notice.

They might be overrated (I don't think they are like considering their sheer importance on popular music in so many different ways) but they're still mint. Even if you compare them down to a musician level, each member was better than The Animals and a large majority of 60s bands. As someone that actually listens to obscure 60s garage rock and pop music, there's not one of them better than The Beatles. Paul was a better singer than 90% of his contemporaries, Ringo a better drummer (yes, he was), George a better lead guitarist etc. House of The Rising Sun was a good arrangement aye but do you honestly think it's better than something like A Day in The Life? If you prefer The Animals then fair enough, opinions and different tastes and all that but they were never objectively better, man. I think every musician that potters into this thread will tell you they respect The Beatles because they were massively talented songwriters and players, not just because it's cool to do so. Music is about opinions which is why it's cheeky for idiots to say "what a load of shite" because it's an issue which is pure opinion and there's not a definitive right and wrong. The Beatles never produced a song better than House of The Rising Sun, that's my opinion.

All Round The World wasn't even in Oasis best 50 songs, in fact I'd say it was the second worst song on the third album without a doubt. Noel would disagree, it's one of his favourites too. It was written before the first album, but they never had the funds to do it justice productionwise until that third album, and it's by far the best thing on there. Never had the funds to include a song till their third album, what a load of shit. They had funds to include pish like Be Here Now, which the third album was named after. Strange you like.
