  1. Call centre for sky and vodafone. Call centres are shit, money is excellent though. I'm gonna be getting paid fortnightly, the same as mcdonald's, and i'll be pulling in twice as much every 2 weeks Congrats The bit in bold is key by the way, if you can keep your eyes on the money and hear coins dropping into your account after every arsey phone call, you'll be able to stomach it for a few years. I know damn well I couldn't do it again. Drove me mad. Is it sales or "customer care"? If you're still doing it when your 30 you've failed, but it's a good learning curve for you. It's like being a battery hen though, I did in Sunderland of all places, and without sounding like a snob or a nob, it was beneath me and my capabilities, I'm sure you'll feel the same when you get to 23 or 24.
  2. Aye will you be able to get 11? Tell that yank centre half to stay off the drink this time, he smelled like a Glasgow bamp after 5 bottles of buckie.
  3. He didn't break his neck in '55, it was the year after. Probably talking about Jimmy Meadows being stretchered of for Citeh early in the match with there being no subs in those days it made it a bit one-sided. Nope. Anything to do with the Milburn / Livingstone saga? Actually Jackie didn't wear the number 9 shirt for that match, did he? Vic Keeble did. I'll tell you because it's something you either no or you don't and can't be googled. We beat York to go through to the final, and the mackems missed a last minute pen in theirs against Man City who went up the other end of the pitch and scored and won 1-0. So that's how close we were to an FA Cup Final between Newcastle United and Sunderland.

  5. Can you not remember Chelsea in 2000 like Craig?
  6. Come on then, explain. I can just imagine you being the same type of character.
  7. Here's one for yous. What is the most gutting thing about the 1955 Cup Final other than Bert Trautman breaking his neck?
  8. Cheers kidda. Just got to keep smiling. The way I look at it is it's Germany v England at pens, Waddle and Pearce have agreed to do a comeback for the pens, and me fatha is Germany, that's his chances, and that's the analogy I give him, and I said I bet you wish you had enough hair to have a mullet though.
  9. No direct quotes, but that was supposedly the plan. There was an article more recently that he spoke to Gerry Armstrong and had said he had always wanted to play for NI and had never said anything differently. Why would you play for Northern Ireland though, I don't understand it. The vast majority of people at Windsor Park hate catholics and would love nothing more than Norn Iron to be exclusively loyalist state. In their eyes catholics and republicans are scum, I'd want to play for Rep Of Ireland, unless I had an English grandmother of course, they must owe us about 40 players up to nuw the cunts. Load of shite. I've got no doubt if you played for Northern Ireland you'd get a reception like Neil Lennon, as opposed to someone like Paddy McCourt.
  10. BTW - responded to LM's questions without reading any of the responses first. Your guess about Glyn Hodges is spot on - only because I remember reading it in a book and them mentioning McFaul bought him with the intention of replacing Beardsley! This is brilliant Leazes - keep it up! how much time do you think I have There are hundreds of questions.... maybe you should give someone else a chance I gave him three quarters of the answers in two minutes.
  11. I think it's half 8. We're more than capable of beating France (technically we're the best team in Europe) and it would be just like England to do so but I have bad feeling about it. I did about the Scotland game too like (half justified I suppose). Another scrappy win would do me. You seem to care more about England doing well in this world cup than the one in 2010 I always care about England (football team) when they get to a tournament but I think even you'd have to admit that side / the current one made/make it very easy to be apathetic about their chances then and now. Aye I know what you mean, it's the fact they're generally a bunch of arseholes that is off putting. The fact Carroll is probably one of the more likeable members of the set up is quite revealing. Plus the fact we probably are 5th-8th best team in the world, and we've still got no chance of winning anything. Bit like the rugby team on that score mind.

  14. The bookies think we'll win, and so do I, France are like Keegan's Newcastle but not as good. We'll score 2 tries late on and they'll get one. Waste of time anyway they should just give it to NZ nuw. Is it 830 wor time or 930? Says 830 on the wiki but the rest have been 930.
  15. Where's that like? Some rogue state? Teddy Kolek Stadium, Jerusalem. You should've just said "aye" then.
  16. Sweden (Finland pure shite) England (there'll be kick offs if we don't win) Spain (I'd take them against anyone let alone a side who cant beat Scotland) Northern Ireland (Estonia? Evens?!? Home win) Very straight forward 8/1 imo pays £188.60 Got a cheeky value patent on Wales 16/5 Macedona 4/1 Italy 23/10 £1 patent = 3 singles 3 doubles and a treble so £7 = £133 back.
  17. Ive spoken to a few people about this and one bloke said its because of the money it generates Basically a tumour is a software bug, the more complicated the bug in the software the more difficult it is to stop. Each tumour can be caused by multiple bugs and so when the grow, they get different quantities of cells with different software infections. As you succeed against the easy to detect bugs in the software, the other bugs become more powerful as they take over more of the host hardware. The company that discovers the cure for this will be 20 times the size of Apple within the year. If you get lung cancer that must be like the Skynet bug then. Thank fuck he hasn't got that but bowel cancer in itself is a serious matter. Played his favourite song tonight and I had a few tears I wouldn't show any emotion in front of him, but fuck it the next five weeks are crucial and he's a big strong cunt like his son, a fighter, this won't be taken lying down. Thanks for simplifying what cancer is, you can read a million manuals but they never really simplify it like that.
  18. Archie Gourlay [/shudders] Aye, amazing to think how far we've come since then. Did ye hear that Alan Oliver or Ryder used Gary Brazil as an example of a shite late 80s player and he rang the paper up distraught complaining only a few years agan that.
  19. Was basically a reserve Cup. Tottenham and Arsenal have had these types of crowds for league games man. No one has had less shite gates given our history over the last 40 years than Newcastle United. It's amazing how out of town fans buy in to talksport myths, fuckin idiot. Half the people who support this club genuinely have no idea at all about our history, the culture, or the history of the pain and suffering and magnificence of the crowds we've had given what we've had to put up with for over half a century. I'm not doubting any of that, although I reckon Man United have had "less shite", when they were in Division 2 they still had the biggest crowds in England, I fucking hate Man United too, and not being born on Tyneside I naturally know fuck all about football, and always listen to Talksport because of that. Showing a surprise towards a low crowd absolutely solidifies your view Well that just shows you haven't got a clue, Man Utd's crowds were often 22 and 23000 in the Fergie era they all wanted him gone 86-89. Anyway so what they are THE club who have a bigger national fanbase than us and THE only club with a bigger local fanbase, purely because of Munich and their status in the 60's. Like I say I wouldn't support a club I had fuck all understanding about, our attendances generally given our circumstances are unparalleled anywhere in world football, anyone with an understanding of NUFC would understand that. I suppose it's the globalisation of football in general. Here's one to tell your Liverpool/Grimsby/T'Leeds/T'Blades/Yoonaatid supporting pals. There's one club in WORLD football who since 1992 have NEVER had a league gate under 30,000. Ask them who they are. WORLD football. Okay, sure, if you say so, however one Champions League/good spell wasn't going to make them as well supported as they were, even pre Fergie they were one of the best supported clubs in the world. I guess that's Newcastle? I don't know I don't live in Tyneside so I know nothing about football , so what was Barcelonas lowest post-92 home attendance? I'll go tell my friends, although I must admit that I don't live in Yorkshire, never have done and know no Leeds/Sheffield United/ even Hull fans. Good lad.
