England look decent in possession, like in most games, but there does seem to be a bit of a disconnect between the midfield and forward lines as we’ve seen through the tournament. Obviously the hope is that by the next World Cup someone like Foden or Sancho are getting regular football and are able to be in the squad to provide that final through ball to give Kane a bit more service.

I thought I saw it reported but tbh I don’t know. From what I read it seemed like Chelsea wanted more than Ashley was willing to pay, so I’d expect any clause to be at the price we won’t meet anyway. So aye probably irrelevant. -

Ah aye forgot about that one. It would been nice if we would just buy the cunt like most other PL clubs (even the ones that clearly have far lower revenue than us) fuck all chance of that with Ashley on the purse strings. -

I’d love to see us go in for Loftus-Cheek, even if it was on a similar loan with option to buy deal as Kenedy. With Jorginho coming in at Chelsea the lad must surely see he’s never going to get a chance in that midfield (I know they take up different positions on the pitch but you can only play so many and with all the talk of cutting back at Chelsea they’ve just hoyed in 60m for another CM). It’d be a stretch with fat cunt as owner of course but I think he’d be a brilliant signing who we could play in an advanced position in front of Shelvey and Diame. -
Aye, I saw some people saying Kane should have been subbed off during extra time, I get that he was tired but honestly at that point you do have to consider penalties.
-
I think that’s fair. I thought he was good but fell short of his club form, mind he’s surrounded by more talented players at club level. I think I’m a little more disappointed with Dele and Lingard but again I’m being a little harsh if I say that as they all performed closer to their club level than England players of the recent past.
-
I think Southgate is in a bit of a shit position now mind. He’s already getting a bit of stick because of the whole “we didn’t play anyone craic”, I get they weren’t the big name teams but these were games England sides of the past would get fuck all from. To add to that I think we’ll also be back to the unrealistic expectations of the past for the Euros, with dickheads like the Sun vehemently attacking the coaching staff and players while demanding they win the whole thing. I’d keep the bloke through the next World Cup unless there’s some fucking disaster or serious regression. I think you have to give him the chance to learn and grow a bit along with this group of players, there’s absolutely nothing to be gained from chucking him and bringing in an older foreign manager iyam (you only need to look at Capellos cuntishness to see the possible issues there).

Agree with this, also, like Gloom, I’m fucking gutted. It’s sort of nice to be this gutted about England as it shows I give a fuck again. We never ever expected to get this far so massively happy with the squad. I’m sorry I don’t understand slagging Southgate off, you can point to not playing top sides but England have struggled to put those sides away for my whole lifetime at tournaments whereas in this one we brushed most of them aside. I also do not understand people having a go at Sterling, I think he’s brilliant and is vital to the team. For me all you have to do is watch the Sweden game back, at no point could they shorten the field and push up properly on us as Sterlings pace terrified them so much they had to keep their defense deep. As I say though I’m devastated, but I’m not going to pick faults with the players or coaching staff they have given me the most fun I’ve had watching a tournament with regards to England in my life. Croatia showed they have some real class and their experienced played a big part, the ref was yet again a fanny mind and should have been booking them. Well done to them though but I will be rooting for France, partially because I’m a bitter cunt but mainly because of Croatia win it would mean England had a real shot. I’m actually excited about the Euros now. I also can’t believe Sam Allardyce was brought up ffs, honestly the press exposing him and getting him the boot are national heroes, if he’d been manager this tournament would have been fucking WANK for England and probably would have more closely resembled that plane spotting twat Hodgsons pathetic tenure.
-
How do at least one of them not get a booking for shoving Lingard around there?
-
Sorry to hear about your loss PL mate, I lost my mother recently and had a really rough time of it. As far as this match goes I think England have played well, Croatia are always going to pose a problem as they have some real class but we seem to be handling it well. The late pressure from Croatia is expected with the way England play, we seem to play in bursts of high energy before a bit of a lull.

Aye, we know enough about him and the buy clause must surely be an amount Chelsea are happy to sell him for so I can’t see us buying him at the end of the loan if we could just sign him permanently now for that price. If Ashley wasn’t a monumental cunt you could make an argument it’s structuring deals so that we can spend more now and buy Kenedy once we get another year of PL money in, but he is so we won’t. Don’t get me wrong I like Kenedy, I’m just not a fan of loaning players repeatedly like this as in a year we’re still needing a winger. If he has a brilliant season there’s also the chance he turns us down and moves somewhere else. If the price is 20M it’s a no brainer to just sign him now as we’d get that at the very least selling him on, these are the sort of moves I can’t wrap my head round with the fat knocker that owns Newcastle. -
I think at this point it’s a bit self fulfilling as well. They know of that reputation and go into it expecting to get steaming and rowdy, so the throbbers end up going mental once they’re fueled up on drink.
-
I love the utter shit ones like that, even if he did say he’s not arsed about England because there’s no local lads what’s the problem? He clearly would mean lads from Newcastle. I see there’s yet another attempt to claim a chant mid way through his pointless and random post. They’re such a boring bunch, why make shite like that up?
-
They are without doubt the most pathetic fan base going. They’re a fucking shite club, and have always been utter bilge. They are so unoriginal they nicked the name of their flat pack soulless stadium, yet have the brass neck to claim ownership of just about everything and everyone in football. Every fan fan base has a soft spot for them according to that deluded as fuck bunch despite them being completely irrelevant and having played a whopping 2 games in Europe in their history.

I’m going to be a fucking wreck on Wednesday
-
Strong performance that. I’m fucking buzzing after that. I think the next game will be tough, either a roided up Russia or a Croatia we will struggle to get past the midfield of.
-
Aye, if it goes to pens I’ll be a fucking wreck.
-
Aye I’m actually nervous as fuck which I never am for England.
-
It’s going to be a cracking last 15 minutes now after that.
-
Aye, I’ve enjoyed writing them off because I dislike Martinez but I’ll have to pipe down on that now.
-
Honestly he can sling his hook at this point imo. He’s a joke nowadays, him swearing at the Nigeria fans was an embarrassment never mind posting pictures of himself with his gut sat in a Colombia kit. Brillaint player but a shambles of a bloke.

Aye, I think it’s a pretty good move all round. Madrid recoup the entire fee they paid back (not that they needed it) and Juve get a player they’ll probably get a load of years out of.
