  1. I've never been anywhere called Saturdays but I used to get in Bonkers 95-2000. Well, during my drug addled days we would go to Saturdays before Planet Earth opened. Then we knew a lass that worked there and she used to let us up the stairs at the back into Planet Earth at 10pm when it opened. Then at midnight downstairs used to open up again as a "chill out room". Anyway, Saturdays/Bonkers did have strippers on every week without fail. The same lasses worked around the club on a night dancing.
  2. I think it changed its name to Bonkers
  3. Aye it was like. Maybe not have been at the period in time you are on about but when I used to go there (around 1994~2000) it was definately called Saturdays.
  4. Idols is the scruffiest of joints imo, full of urchins and away fans. Sam jacks has rippers on now and again, the best place used to be that pub at the side of Planet Earth, it's doing my head in that I can't remember its' name now, does anyone know what it was called. Shut down about 10 years ago. The strippers didn't just strip that's all I'll say, and iirc was £2 a pint and you got a free whisky with everyone got in some right states before the match in there. My mate just text me, he's been watching the toon training he saw Tiote's score two 30 yard screamers and Carroll hit the bar from 3 yards. Was called Saturdays.
  5. Is that not simply because we are not sad little fuckers with sad little lives from a sad little town? Like.
  6. What you want to do is set up a tape recorder in your bedroom. Set it recording and listen back the next morning. See what you hear going on in the room while you are sleeping. If you are brave enough that is
  7. Happy Birthday you old nutter
  8. They are shit away and we are shit at home. Actually, neither team have much to shout about tbf. They rely on Bent and own goals and have kept a few clean sheets. I'm going for 1-1 with us scoring both
  9. Clearly spending time on here and not doing home work. Oh, half term aint it.
  10. Thought the thread was about a new ground sponsor ...
  11. Not going on Sunday by the sound of it
  12. Agreed. Should do it at the match too. I dont object at all. Its the stupid fuckers that wait until the very last second to get their shit sorted out that irritate me.
  13. We drew 0-0 with Man city the day I was born near the end of the '72 season. We finished in 11th,.
  14. Have to say LM while I often can take on board your point, at the moment you are using the same stick to beat any comment possible. surely its worn down by down? Can't you see that potentially taking advantage of the Gosling situation was a good bit of business? I dislike Fat Mike as much as the next bloke, but that doesnt mean I have to dismiss any and every action taken by the club/staff while in his tenure?
  15. Theres non I actually look out for and sometimes find the most entertainment comes from the unlikeliest fixture.
  16. Cheers mate, dont worry he's only 17 and has a lot of growing up to do. and please stop quoting him. some of us have him on ignore and reading his posts make my eyes bleed...
  17. Says it all really. Indeed If the highlight of their footballing life is a narrow home win against a side that were in fucking freefall then it cements all the opinions about them being bitter for living in our shadow. Greatest day of my footballing life was when Ned Kelly scored against Pompey back in 1992. But then i'm obsessed with Newcastle winning, not Sunderland losing. I reckon you are obsessed with the fact that we are obsessed !!! BUT YES beating newcastle means more to us than any game of football ...we are always reminded day to day that we live in your shadow (and not just footy) SO to beat you means everything to us.....EVERYTHING !!!! Get a fucking grip man! HAWAY then whats wrong with that .....serious question ??? Course we want to win the derby (its is THE derby, none of this boro shite), but outside of Sunday? I couldnt give a fuck what you do win lose or draw. Mackems need to realise that by and large Sunderland to us is irrelevant apart from two games a season. I think you are maybe over-playing the 'not that arsed' card a bit. This is a big one imo as we've been down and come back up and they think they are mint now. So, if we get a draw, it wont be that much of a disappointment to us whereas they are expecting 3 points off us by the sounds of things. I would say less pressure on us and more players who 'get' the occasion though, so a good start that further enlivens an up for it crowd and they'll start shitting themselves (the fans). No no, I mean outside of Sundays game I'm not arsed. Hence I said of course we want to win Sunday as its THE derby. Its a big game for us as we need a win at home and this would be a big confidence lift. We've dropped too much at home from winnable games. I reckon this game would be tight though, 1 goal in it.
  18. Example. No of Sunderland related threads on the first page of toontastic? - One. the match thread. No of Newcastle related threads on the first page of RTG? - 15! Fifteen! Fuck me man

  21. Arsenal's squad better than Chelsea's or something? TicTacWoe got it. Squad, yes, I'd say. First XI, no. And I did say the same about Chelsea. I don't see the point in getting my hopes up. I'd much rather save my deluded optimism for the mackems game. Was reading something about Arsenal putting out a strong side while I expect us to try and keep our first team for Sunday.
