  1. If you can start with some clients you know it makes a huge difference. Approaching them first with your plan, you'd often find they would tell you then if they would back you. In the early days, old closer clients will often try to help you out as well, paying on better terms etc. Once you have yourself established they go back to their usual ways like. All I'd say at the mo is be very careful. Not sure what the background is etc, but there will be loads of people go under this year. Keep overheads low and deal with people you trust. If you can do something where giving people credit is avoided then alls better. Its not just banks that are with holding cash, its most financials. Good bank currently I find is the co-op. A good accountant should save you more than his costs every year. Few random initial thoughts there anyway Ive had my own business since early 2004 and the learning curve has been pretty vertical.
  2. Can't remember fully, but wasnt that his agent hawking him around. Seem to recall his agent made him look a twat a few times. Badly advised iirc.

    Miserable gits...
  5. Same as me, I paid in advance but am not expecting anything. I didnt see any smallprint saying there would be a rebate if we were relegated. Shows how blind love can do you over at times eh.
  6. So is that him giving himself a vote of confidence is the absence of one coming from fuck face?
  7. He is first an foremost a businessman. He (as well as SJH) saw NUFC for what it was. A potential gold mine if treated correctly. We needed each other. They needed the club in the premiership and in europe before floating the club as much as we wanted the club in that place. I dont think many of us suspected that their decisions were based on love for the fans? His point remains a good one though.
  8. Have to agree fella. I could list numerous things thats boiling my piss about the club at the mo. But he's right, what good will it do? It's the usual arguement I have that there's no point getting on a players back during a game, it serves no purpose but to make their head drop further. If anything at all, this is a time for pushing on together, lets kick each other in the bollocks after the final whistle of the season.
  9. Listening to him on Radio Newcastle this morning. Didn't give alot away. Was asked questions about whether he thought MA was a good businessman to which he just said he'd (MA) made more money then him (FF) which doesn't really answer the question. Asked about whether the club should have done more to keep KK and then he re-iterated his main point. That is that the club is vitally important to the region. In terms of the well being of the people, to local business and the local economy as well as on a larger scale the standing of the city in the UK and abroad. He thinks that there should be an amnesty on all things at the moment and that everyone, the club, management, players and importantly the different groups of fans should all pull together with one common purpose and thats keeping the club in the premiership. Said now is not the time for bickering and finger pointing but to leave that until the last ball is kicked. He reckoned that the time for all of that was as soon as the season ended. Then it should happen quickly and start talking and picking everything to bits so that again, once the new season started everyone was pulling together. He mentioned that when he joined the club in 91 it was in the same position but a division down (as we know) and that one of the main reasons it stayed up was that everyone was behind the club. Thing is though, what I see now is vastly different. So again he was asked about KK and just said he wouldnt be drawn into individual topics as he doesnt think at this time debate is healthy for moving on but did say he would be happy to discuss every issue at the end of the season.
  10. Aye, its not a big if like... I'll still go to the games aye, why wouldn't I? Though I've missed more this season than I ever have and haven't been away once. Partly due to the nipper like and a change in priority, along with other stuff. But, I'll be there next season no matter what. MA can't take THAT away from me no matter how fucking hard he tries.
  11. I really REALLY fucking hope so. Its been an absolute nightmare 6 months in business for me like. I can honestly say I've never known stress levels like it, bloody numbers running through my head all day all night all weekend. I need a holiday....
  12. I can't read that to my bairn man!
  13. Lighter nights and mornings are fantastic! Get up, go for a run in the light and not feel like its midnight. Get home from work and still feel like I have some of the day left. On warm nights, sit in the garden with a can and watch the cricket over the fence.
  14. I was just about to say that chickens already in here man
  15. Id love to be able to right some good kids stuff, especially for my bairn. I reckon I could put something together as good as the Gruffalo etc if I had someone decent to do the illustration. I've just go tthat kinda imaginative brain. Night Monkey Day Monkey is better than the Gruffalo though
  16. not sure why Im giggling at the bairn "twanging"
  17. Age has a big input of course. I'd say though its something that matters maybe when you are younger, which I assume you are and as get you older it become irrelivant other than the one that count (like if you're married!). There's alot ot be said for sticking with one partner. Plus, once you get to late thirties (fuck! as of wednesday I'm counted as late thirties!) you tend to forget alot of them, or at least they might not spring to mind right away. We used to have this conversation at college and laugh when the lasses say "1 or 2" as a stock answer and the blokes back then would be "around ten". well some fuckers lying then

I think KK leaving has an awful lot to do with our state. Not only that mind, I think that was the start of the decline, or at least the transfer window before it. Since then there seems to have been fuck up after fuck up including appointing JFK after scouring for a new manager and the things the next window threw up (incoming wasn't too bad considering, but I still cant get my head around selling Given mid season when we are staring at relegation, for THAT amount of money). I don't really blame KK for leaving though, not really. But the one main thing is that none of us know the whole story. What was said or what went on etc. Until then, we are left to assume and pick bones out of things that have been said. Hopefully it will come out one day. I know this is old ground now, but yes I think he did leave us in the mire. I'd also have liked him to have came out and said more to the fans if they meant that much too him. All I recall from then was how pissed off I was that when the club finally did say something, it wasnt to the fans, it was some shite to cover their own backs and start their case.
  19. I got married in Miami and made a comment then that it was just like grand theft auto. Now look at this and tell me I'm wrong Link

Hmm, that cant be right. Just done the predictor thing and had the bottom as 37 NUFC 37 Stoke 36 Sunderland 36 Hull 29 Boro 26 West Brom Id take it now of course. Had our points from Stoke away (1), Portsmouth home (3), Boro home (3), Fulham home (1). What is worrying is that according to this, if we drop 2 points from any of that lot we would finish 3rd bottom. Thats very possible especially Portmouth at home if we drew. I have 8 points from 4 games there, I reckon 7 is the minimum we can take from them. Worse still, is some teams around us have been getting freaky results. Really starting to clutch at straws about staying up.
  21. Most wouldnt make such a public stance against the club. Sadly, NUSC at the moment is perceived to be against the club, though I know of course thats not the long term aim. Mind, the club is as much to blame for that.
