  1. Is that 5PM GMT? or BST? or another? Knowing my luck I'd rush home and get stuck in traffic. How do you spend the last moments of your life? Stuck in traffic. I'd ring my wife and then prob get done for using my mobile in the car....
  2. Danny, do you stamp your feet while you type?
  3. Anyone watch this? Last weeks was based around Hendon in Sunderland. If you dont know it, basically someone who is loaded goes to a poor area and spends time with 3-4 people who run a business or such of some kind. They look for people who put themselves out to help others. At the end of the show he/she then decides whether to give a load of cash to any of them. Anyway, last one was in Hendon, but the funny thing is they felt they had to subtitle it
  4. Carrol has earned a start on current form, but the midfield needs seriously changing after that last offering (first half). Once we kep the ball down and started passing plus with Jonas on we looked more of a threat.
  5. Every thread is getting turned into a pissing contest. Its getting really fucking tedious.

  7. Maybe because its a bank holiday and most people have sometime better to do than wait with baited breath for the next new post so they can jump on and reply...
  8. Bugger Still, mine shows points etc and a wee table so its easy to work stuff out. No tarty colours either

  10. Owen could go on a free as could Viduka iirc. Martins though would be sold. Shola would be sold. I really really dont think Shola is that hard to replace. Owen/Martins though is another matter.
  11. You're right PP. This predicament has been waiting to happen over the last few seasons tbf. I think our state has just been escalated by the arrival and actions of MA. We've struggled with the last few managers but had a squad good enough to keep us mid table. Now a lack of investment and selling of key players, together with existing players getting older and some loosing their desire has left the squad in a mess. Then add in a fucking joke period of managerial roles and look where we are. No real shock is it. Edit: Oh and recovering takes as long as failure. The club needs an overhaul like never before. Not just on the pitch it seems.
  12. I actually couldnt believe we were doing that. HOOF the ball every opportunity when you have Owen and Shola up front. Stoke soaked that up like a gift.
  13. Worrying isnt it. I think he basically still lives in his Wimbledon days.
  14. Ive just said pretty much the same thin in another thread. It worries me what Im hearing about what been happening or not happening in the back room, things off the pitch. Im already concerned for next season.
  15. I agree about Viduka, not sure about Owen. I reckon Owen would want reassurances as wont want to go through this shite again. I think if we make some half decent investment without having to flog half the first team then he might stay. But, we know we wont spend big. I cant see us spending £10M on one player for a long time. Then again, I dont think thats what we should be doing. We need depth, we need numbers. We have too much dead wood not willing to pull their weight. Or simply not good enough. Its been said before, why spend £7-£10M on La Liga players when you can look at Sweden etc and pick up some decent players that might do just as good a job and not hide away when it gets tough. My bigger worry as that bringing Shearer in paper the cracks. If we start the season back with Kinnear and Shearer goes back to his sofa I think we are fucked. No matter what investment. I just dont trust the judgement of JFK and his team. Not just about playing, but the whole set up.
  16. Its too easy to put out a standard back four every week without thinking of any other way to combat the other side. Good to see Shearer is willing to try something different. While I wuldnt go as far as to say we looked comfortable at the back, we certianly handled alot of what they threw at us. Was more going forward we had problems. We were weak in midfield and giving nothing to the forwards plus we lost possession too easy. This seemed to change after the subs. Jonas and the overall play from the midfield increased pressure on Stoke and Carroll was more of a threat and Owen was brought more into the game.
  17. Carroll is looking more the part now and I'd certainly start him over Shola. Its a good point about replacing him, but then again do we have others who would step in front of him also? Owen, Martins, Carrol & Viduka we have technically, not to mention some of the promising youngsters like Ranger that might get a look in before the seasons out. Keeping them all fit it another matter.
  18. Ok, so I just seen it linked in another thread, but it deserves its own!
  19. Mind, its the News of the World.
  20. More so Hull. Look where they were and where they will end up. Your lot made a change while Hull haven't. Same team, same manager.
