  1. Well it's becoming clear, despite what the fans might think, a lot of managers, coaches, players and pundits all think we should give Sam time and no-one in their right mind would take this job. Depressing.
  2. Might be a bit o' truth in that. Maybe if Sam hadn't dropped him for the Wigan match he might not have been in Liverpool pissed off at the world. Think about it, if Sam hadn't dropped him he might have stayed in Newcastle and maybe had a jovial punch-up in the Bigg Market. I heard he was injured.
  3. Rather see John Collins if that was the way we were gonna go.
  4. I'm worried most of the positive motions for shearer come from some sort of idea that he is proven/qualified, through some wierd geordie birthright crap, or the fact he was a great player. I know he's done his badges an all that, but plenty sure thought they were worth shite in managers gone by.
  5. The Keegan fan boys loved having wingers for left backs, now all of a sudden it's complete madness. I'm betting Enrique hasn't impressed BSA in his games/training, and he will become one his many non-appearing signings to be offloaded quietly in exchange for some other unknown, BSA has plenty of form for that.

    Appeal For Maddy

I had a chuckle at that mind. I can't get my head round how anyone thinks they are doing what they do for the limelight or the travel opportunities, as opposed to just sitting at home and praying I suppose.
  7. She insisted on being driven through the crowds straight after the rally and standing with her head out of the sunroof so she could wave to them didn't she? She took unneccessary risks. plus (and I may be wrong here like) Im guessing that the army/ police/ government werent exactly pulling out all the stops to protect her. I'm guessing they wouldn't have been daft enough to think that someone could blow themselves up and they would only get Bhutto and not the soliders/police around the place.
  8. Far from the truth Mr. Fish!! When huge businesses have already suffered bad years they bring in an experienced new manager whom they believe will turn things around and DO NOT EXPECT another bad year. They expect to see a progressive improvement in the right direction due to the new man's expertise. Team Morshley put their faith in Allardyce when others lined a manager up beforehand or got one in as soon as. This does not fill me with confidence that our top exectuives have a top manager lined up to do some grade A troubleshooting. I think the train set is broke, and they don't understand the instrucitons.

    Apologies

Quite daft really, there's been umpteen message board splits, now at least one is always on the blink because of servers or coding cock-ups as they try to implement features. I still maintain the internet in general is starting to fail, this could be the endtimes. (can you spot who watched Constantine today)

What? Like they were going to lay them off if there were no calls? Stay off the little yellow pills man.
  11. A suicide bomber got to the highest profile person in the country in the most heavily guarded cities on the country. I wonder where they keep the nukes.
  12. I would be happy because the spectre would be over, whatever his performance, and if he was crap then perhaps we could move on to looking for a realistic manager, although how bad would he have to be to get sacked? Would we have to go down? Would Mort want to be the man who shot Bambi? He is never going to be allowed to ply his trade at a lower club, no coach would relish having him as a coach here, and him coming here to his first managerial job after 5 years in tv is never going to work either, because all you get in the meantime is chants of shearer shearer in the crowd at whoever is current manager. So the sooner the better, for sceptics and optimists combined.
  13. Sam isn't grinding out boring wins, he's grinding out boring draws and defeats, and lucky wins.
  14. Tell me this post was a joke please. depends on how you feel about Allardyce Scotty. I'm inclided to blame Tony Adams meself. He misses Chelsea and City games, running scared?
  15. Yes it does - they got a better manager who was right for them - we didn't. Sorry but I laughed at "People will suss them out" - that should be Allardyce's epithet. He means, people will find out 'how to stop them playing'.

Definitely, but it isn't helping either. And studies have shown that the country/economy/sick rates/birth rates etc improve when England does well in a competition, so football definitely has a significant effect.
  17. I know what you mean, he's not going to come out and admit to being completely useless but it's not even "we" and "us", he's laying the blame squarely at the feet of the players, he can't even accept responsibility as part of a collective unit, "These are the players that I've got, but too many are showing me what they are about on the bad side of the game. In the end, some of the individuals in my team failed to live up to their reputations." Arrogant, conceited prick. Aye, I've changed my mind, he isn't doing himself any favours, or, he thinks he can win the battle for hearts and minds (i.e. he never uses the net). Bordering on Souness-like C-factorness.
  18. It's arrogant comments like this along with the refusal to acknowledge any of his own shortcomings or take any share of the blame that make me dislike him so much. A common criticism, but serisously, when was the last time you ever heard a manager blame himself after a defeat? It's always 'we' and 'us'. That statement did jump off the page for me though. It's articles like this that make me believe the stuff about NUFC being a soap-opera club. Have you ever seen an article like this about another club? Especially a mid-table team. Not even in the worst days of the mackems did you see such obvious piss-taking like this.

About NUFC or life in general. Optimistic? Pessimistic? Me personally I feel like this will be the worst year of my life, probably a self fulfilling prophecy. Not been this downbeat about a new year ever, even after deaths, redundancies and break ups.
  20. On the other hand, I do remember times last season when Sibierski was apparently the best player in some of our matches, yet today he is the least ranked Wigan player. This must signal some improvement doesn't it? doesn't it? NURSE!
  21. If Ashley can't see that was shite, we're fucked. I'm sick of this, fuck the team, fuck the ground, fuck titus bumble, fuck Nigel Pearson, fuck Santa.
  22. Oompalumpas, Shrek and the Simpsons. Our fans have finally gone insane.
  23. shurrup man/woman.man....iconic film of its era It's crap, pure female only crap.
  24. We started with Emre in the midfield, and both wingers in their correct positions, and still lost.
  25. SAGA and Eastbourne would disagree with the title I think.
