I remember adults always seeming to have a lunchtime finish on a Friday and out all day and night when I was a bairn. If you need drink and drugs to enjoy yourself I imagine you aren't all that fun yourself. Is it really that much of an alien concept to people to go out and have fun without being off your rocker? I'n a bid to save money and get a bit healther, I recently spent a few weeks drinking soft drinks when going out with friends. I still had the same crack and did manage to save money, but surely you understand that it is nice to get drunk now and then?

When I was 18, I used to be able to go out on a school night and feel fine the next day. Now I can't as hangovers get worse the older you get. I'd say its a similar sort of thing.

I haven't got time to read those links due to being at work, but surely the risk comes from heavy use? We know Alcohol causes damage when used excessively, yet it is still legal as the vast majority can enjoy a night out without drinking all day everyday...

To be honest, I don't think weed is as harmless as alot of people make out. A close friend of mine is currently seeing a Psychiatrist due to smoking it every day in his teens. Though thats obviously down to his addictive personality and I'm sure if he drank every day, his liver would have packed in, and just because there are alcoholics doesn't mean we should ban alcohol. I don't think drugs are cool by the way, nor am I advocating the use of them....

Forgot all about Blyth like! Wish you could still get stuff like that up here! Though its probably for the best that you can't like!
