5 Non Newcastle things that would make me happy this season
Douggy B replied to a topic in Newcastle Forum
Point 1: You state the reasons why Spurs could go down but not why you would want them to go down. What is it you have against Spurs Stevie? I suspect it may be the fact you see our fanbase as a threat. Point 2: "They play the best football this country has ever seen" - no they dont. They dont even play the best football in this country at the moment. If they did they would have beaten Fulham, Sunderland and Hull. If you get excited by a team, well drilled in passing stroking the ball about then fine but I personally prefer goals and winning football. On that score Chelsea are ahead. Point 1: I hate Tottenham. Who the fuck are they? People like you are the reason they're hated. Never had a gate over 40,000 for over 20 years, been in the bottom half more than the top since then, never been in the top 4 in that time, never had a good European run, largely failed to sell out their stadium over that time, have been sponsored by PONY, have employed David Pleat as their manager, have a limited fanbase......yet STILL look people in the eyes and say "we're a big claaab mite". None entity nothingness of a club, who's fans need bringing down a peg or ten. I don't think speaking on a personal note, I've ever met more wankers from one club neither, even people I work with now, one yid has a bet on with me that Man Utd won't come in the top 4 this season. What a mug. Mugs and wanks sum them up. Point 2: At times over the last four years Arsenal have played slick football consistently the likes of which have not been seen in this country. Point 1: SO you are saying we have more detestable fans than the perpetual victims? I think not. Point 2: spurs invented that style of football. Goons are just borrowing it. A man of your years must remember George grahams goons, lump it long, one nil to the @rsenal? Temporary thing. ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Push_and_run -
The credit crunch will f*ck us over in terms of finding a new owner

Just as well you work in the city and are privy to this insider info or we would be completely in the dark about it. TBF I dont think your average geordie spends more time pouring over the business media rather than some grot site. I don't think you read any newspapers/sites if you think that's where it's restricted to. I'm sure you didnt always used to be this boring. I don't know where you got that impression. I'm a mathematics graduate, IT worker, film buff. There's no-one more boring. Stevie when someone mentions attendances? -
think you'll need some kind of video input/ TV capture card as far as I'm aware, a pretty expensive one if you want decent quality. Not the answer I wanted but cheers anyway.

OK I'll stop, just admit that Spurs are a bigger club and the 3am calls are a thing of the past.

5 Things that would make me happy? 1. All kick offs to be made 3pm Saturday 2. Standing bought back at games 3. Sky to collapse and one game on ITV on a sun 4. Footballs popularity to die a death 5. To be allowed a beer watching the game. -

I work in a role that is linked to the city and the credit market has dried up....completely. Unless the potential new owner has committed borrowings in place or big money in the bank, forget about it. -
Tragic.

I am but this is a newcastle board after all. Do you see any familiarity between Ameobi and Fash?
-
JOE KINNEAR is backing Shola Ameobi to go and be the next John Fashanu. And the Newcastle United interim manager has been so impressed at his 26-year-old striker that he plans to work with him on a one-to-one basis during the fortnight’s break for international duty. Kinnear told me on Friday night that he intended to use Ameobi in his starting line-up at Everton, but in the end the former England Under-21 international had to be content with a place on the substitutes bench. When he did get on Ameobi nearly set up the winner for Charles N’Zogbia but Leighton Baines cleared off the goal-line. But Kinnear clearly rates Ameobi more than £5m deadline-day signing Xisco. Ameobi has been teased by his United colleagues after hearing Kinnear call him the new John Fashanu in training and has revelled in his new name of Fash The Bash. But Kinnear is quite serious when he says: “I think Shola has a lot to offer. I don’t think he’s the finished article, but he’s a powerful lad, and is willing to work. “I’m going to work one-to-one with him most afternoons, and he could be a John Fashanu.” Ameobi’s tally of 46 goals is more than any other player on the club’s staff, but he has not found the net for exactly two seasons since he scored from the penalty spot in the home defeat by Sam Allardyce’s Bolton. But boosted by encouragement from Kinnear Ameobi twice went close in his 15 minutes on the field yesterday. Ameobi to save the Toon?
