  1. That was a good pass though, pulled the keeper away from the centre of goal passed it well weighted to the unmarked Anderson right in front.... and what came next was embarrassing... thankfully Anderson played well after, scored and setup our second.
  2. Good half, we created plenty. Anderson made up for missing a gilt edged chance early, scoring a goal and going on a good run and forcing a save to create the opportunity for Isak to smash in our second. Our shape has looked a bit ordinary when Villa counter, in particular with our fullbacks as they are pushing very high. All in all a very good run out, on the balance of chances created we should be ahead, but after being down 0-2 going into the break tied up is good enough. Nice to see Unai Emery honouring his mentor Eddie Howe by wearing Eddie's black and white shirt, the respect is admirable.
  3. I've reviewed the add-ons and can't see anything out of the ordinary. Complete a stepover - £15m Fall down and roll dramatically - £15m Stay down after playing for a FK and not getting one - £15m Shoot - £15m Fail to track back and/or to make a tackle - £15m Complete another stepover - £15m Wear unnecessary bandages/strapping - £15m Tweet a picture of yourself training - £15m Score (or witness a goal) - £15m Assist (or witness an assist) - £15m

    Holidays 2025

    Sounds positively serene.
  5. I'd imagine if that's the case we'll let it sit like that for a while rather than up our offer.
  6. Why not both? Planes, Trains and Automobiles style.
  7. Don't worry, they've got their firearms to protect themselves against dangerous foreign criminals.
  8. I wouldn't say he's the opposite of it, but you're right that Barnes is not known for his defensive effort. I'm only guessing but feel like Eddie will feel that he can use his energy to press and over time improve his defensive reads and tackling. Similar to the intentions with Gordon. They'll be eased into the team and/or used as subs until they fully fit the style of play. The alternate view is also that Howe will look to evolve the way we play to cater for teams sitting deeper against us. Barnes, noted for his quick interchanges can work both in the open field and also against a deep lying defense.
  9. When you think about it Eddie would not have been interested in him because there's a defensive expectation for our wide players that Diaby doesn't meet. Chiesa on the other hard is quite hardworking defensively, presses and makes tackles. Of the two he fits Eddie's style much better than the Frenchman. Still, I'd be quite surprised if we go for him but would be keen to see how he does. It can't hurt that we've now got Tonali.
  10. "OK, but would you take the same deal except without Ryan Fraser?"
  11. Dyer Deliveries - Back Soon
  12. I hope the USA don't win. Beyond that it would be nice for the Matilda's to do well, and the NZ girls too. I'll be watching the Matilda's matches.
  13. Has Bruno's quality fallen away since joining? No.
  14. You could probably say that for most of the squad here when he arrived.
  15. And to think people complained about Szoboszlai!
  16. Step up Northern Ireland's Jamal Lewis.
  17. Hendrick, Hayden and Fraser are not even training with the first team. #NaughtyCorner #BargainBin
  18. All ready for his year 11 formal (I think that's what you guys call them).
  19. I did not know that our very own Rayvin was a footballer. It all makes sense with all that flying now.
  20. He's not a wind up merchant, he's a wound up merchant of shite. Not happy at having the piss taken out of him by everyone else he's joined the party.
  21. But not as funny as the first 21 minutes against Spurs at St James* * + es as many times as you see fit
  22. Life changing.... I'm sure he was near destitute with the increases in power costs.
