  1. Yeah, I'd be happy with that providing they were of suitable quality of course. The money is easily there for that to happen.
  2. Why on Earth a Dachshund? Apart from their well documented behavioural issues they're completely and utterly ridiculous looking. If you get one with small kids you've made a serious mistake and will have a very lengthy period of regret and frustration to follow. Show a bit of foresight and actually select a breed that's good with children and put aside whatever weird attachment you or your wife has to the Dachshund, which for some absurd reason has become popular in recent times.
  3. Based off that actually he's saying that in total you need 3 or 4 players who can get fans off their seats in total. Ben Arfa would be considered one of them, and I guess if you wanted to push it Jonas as well (Tiote's not really a get their fans off their seats player unless he's belting in volleys against Arsenal). So he's really just again saying that they're looking at bringing in 1 or 2 players. Pardew was talking about bringing in 1 player, possibly 2 in January and what happened? We sold our most promising player, and loaned out three others (Routledge and Xisco with a view to permanent moves and Kadar). Incoming we brought in the injured Stephen Ireland, and made Ben Arfa's deal permanent (obviously he was injured and would at best make a few cameo appearances at the end of the season). So the net effect was we lost three players. Edit - Completely forgot about Kuqi. The net 10 or 15 minutes that he's had on the pitch have been so important. As likeable a bloke as he appears to be that was a complete joke of a signing. Talking about 1-2 players now after that January is ridiculous. I mean we were short on players heading into January and ended up with fewer players. If we make two signings we'll be in roughly the same position as we were in January in terms of playing personnel. The manager in my opinion should be pushing the owner to make the necessary amount of movement in the market to improve the team. Considering we should at the very least have 35M to spend this talk of bringing in 1 or 2 players makes a mockery of the whole situation. The timing of the Carroll sale was perfect for them. The talk immediately after was about how they'd spend the entire amount on bringing in players to improve the team in the summer, that soon became a case of the money being used in it's entirety to bring in players and to pay wages. From there's it's shifted to a figure of around 20M to be spent in the summer. Now the talk of the 35M has been dropped altogether and it's just 1 or 2 players coming in, and yet some people will still attempt to make a case for these clowns. Seriously?
  4. Pardew: "Obviously we are going to bring in one or two players and I think we can get stronger from this point." The lowering of expectations has begun already. We lost three players in January (Carroll, Routledge & Xisco) and now we're being fed lines about bringing in one or two players. It's going to be a shit, frustrating and unfulfilling summer.
  5. Pretty much all of his booking have been warranted and many come for persistent fouling. In my opinion some of them are acceptable, but many are silly. Let's not forget that he now holds the record for most yellow cards in a season, so it's not like he's merely bad, he's the worst ever in this regards. Can clearly change the way he plays to remove the silly niggley stuff that compounds itself as yellow cards. A high number of cards is acceptable for a player like Tiote, but the rate he's currently amassing them at is not. He obviously knows it's a problem which is good because that's the first step to fixing it.
  6. Can't help himself when there's the potential for a challenge or for just sticking your leg out. I tried to suggest that it could be coached out of him but other thought doing so would make him less effective. Hard to be effective when you're sitting on the bench suspended I say.
  7. Chuck N'Zog scored again for Wigan.
  8. Johnson is a massive sook. Clearly fouled Jonas there, plain as day.
  9. Give the Kuqi Monster more than a few minutes please Pardew.
  10. Ranger almost got his first then...
  11. He's had a strong run of form late in the season, consistently good while many others have been erratic.
  12. Replaced Lovelyhands. Bowyer yellow on Tiote, horrible tackle not even close to the ball, lucky Tiote is a beast.
  13. Brilliant ball in from him there. I do think he's not fully fit, seems to not want to run at full pace ever - worried about him hamstrings scuppering a deal perhaps?
  14. Good pressure from Enrique there. Larsson's quicker than I thought, though I don't think Enrique is fully fit.
  15. Could have had it there if he didn't think it was job done just getting his head to the ball.
  16. Bowyer injuring himself kicking Tiote who barely felt it and played on.
  17. Not in birmigan no many snow!!!!!!! I'm feeling either a Jonas or Lovenkrands goal in this. Shola will do fuck all because he'll feel he's done his part by scoring the penalty. Give him 20 to prove me wrong, then get him off if he hasn't.
  18. 10 shots on target for us, 1 for them. We always manage to deflect shots in that the keeper would easily have covered. Such a poor goal to concede. That penalty from Shola was lovely. Foster's save from Nolan's shot was top shelf.
  19. That's one definite benefit of having Taylor in the side. Can score the odd goal. Complete fuck up at the back there and they've eventually scored. Pardew should be furious.
  20. Foster's having a great game for them. Sailor goal from the corner!!!
  21. Parried save from shola's header from Barton's corner fell to Colo who whizzed one in that was saved by Foster into the crossbar and post to be cleared off the line. First attempt at clearance was scuffed and the ball was heading towards Nolan near the back post. Ridgewell used his forearm and shoulder to clear it further. It was rightfully picked up by the ref.
