just got back from the match, good solid performance I can't remember the last time we kept 3 clean sheets away from home in a row ! thought guthrie had a blinder today, as a good a match he's had in black n white. Things could have been totally different though if crouch / defoe had scored early on, instead taking to booting the ball quite literally out the ground and once we got to half time you could see martins pace been taking to them in the second half. Another solid colo / bassong partnership, kepp it going boys!

Did anyone see Ronaldo stealing a few extra yards against the unwashed last weekend? Kept waiting for the referre too start marching his 10 yards and then moving ball a couple of foot back to give himself extra distance. Something Man U musn't have taught Butt in his time there. Or how to take a free kick for that matter. In this case, surely the ref needs to mark a spot where the ball is so he can see both ends of the matter

this would be awesome, even if zog only started it would be good but in all honesty i reckon we can get a hard fought draw, if guthrie plays and he can control his temper then i reckon him and butt can hold a solid line, granted there's no creativity in the centre but hopefully spiderman can have more of an impact like man u away then it'd be something for owen / oba to play off

so in europe you have a soft spot for pretty much the top team of each division. rock on. I watch out of PSV every now and again cos i spent some time there but apart from that its black and white all the way

i'm with geordie lad on this one, if Burnley can hold solid there must be some hope. granted chelsea didn't have a 'full' strength team out, but Lampard was on afer half an hour or so and there back four was pretty much full strength bar terry. if we get beat, then at least i hope they can put in a display that shows a little bit of guts and resilience, our team is better than the one we took there last season and we were unlucky not to get a point then.

like someone has said before on this thread, this must have been something to do with the barton / pompy thing, as Ashley had King Kev on his shirt on saturday and was waltzin around outside the pub chatting to fans. Ashley will have to publicly come out and say something himself this time instead of hiding behind a statement if he wants to get a clear message to the fans to be able to walk around scot-free without a load of abuse coming his way

hi, first post on here but often have a gander and have been meaning to sign up for ages anyhow, living in Bristol for the last year or so, but get to as many away games as funds allow for the last few seasons now, and first one this weekend for the season. Me and a mate were walking back from the pub after the Coventry game (mates a Cov fan) and for some drunk reason i decided to belate him with songs all the way home, ending up singing this for about 10minutes and me and a mate plan on singin it in a few pubs at the weekend before kick off (to the champiarno, champiarno, ole ole ole!) collocini, collocini, ole ole ole!! been racking me brains today trying to think of something for the ole bit instead but kinda goes with the song and usually the simplist ones pick up the easiest and spread round the crowd quicker for a better atmosphere anyway thats me two cents, and if there are any toon fans in bristol let me know!
