a weekend where all the results go for us?! as long as arsenal and everton do us a favour along with us winning i'll be a happy man!

i'm a lost addict i confess. its had its ups and downs but if you've stuck with it this long then your in it for the long run and now we're starting to reap the benifits, we're getting more answers each week and its starting to pick up pace again and you can see its all setting up for a big show down in the final series. i would love to be a flyon a wall when they write the script, sure a lot of it is written and altered to fit in as they go on, but a lot of it is planned years in advane and all the ties in to small clips to earlier scences in series 1, 2 etc is truely amazing, the best 'fictional' series on tv bar none and only the Wire is top on all stakes!

metronomy - a thing for me...

the only thing that worries me is if it coms down to the last 20, 15 minutes or so, wwe've shown so many times we're tactically inept at changing a game for the better, take the FA cup match at hull, we had a good crack at taking them apart when they had half their team out and we couldn't do anything in the second half. hopefully we can do a west brom and have it sorted by half time and hang on for dear life in the second half. my heart hopes for this, my head says otherwise.

sweet! we're doing it for cancer research ( i think, a mate's granda died from it last year so i'm still waiting for him to get it all organised!)
-
2-1 ManUre, a late goal from Ryan taylor giving up some hope coming back from 2-0 when Man U start to ease off the gas, and Hughton not having a foggy on what to do.

got my ballot through a couple of weeks ago, anyone on here doing it / done it before?
-
apology accepted! still though, i'd say its a pretty hard thing to do, even getting paid all those bucks!

the new trailer looks immense, i was a bit worried when the first one came out that it was all going to be shot at night as a way to have not so good cgi but the new one shows so much more out in the open in daylight. It feels like they've gave away a big suprise in the trailer though with the marcus characters role, more so probably to get people excited as its taking a slightly different direction as to anything else i imagine. I think Bale will play this role fucking ace, and i stand more in his corner on the whole on-set-rant, although it was a bit over the top the amount of time he went on, i reckon this happens loads in their profession especially for method actors where they try to get engroced in their characters (not that i know anything about acting or anything!), it must fuck with your head a lot. i mean, did you see how fucking skinny he got for the machinist, and then how beefed up he got himself for the batman begins 6months later!?

i meant to say that!

an absolute shambles of a 90 minutes today, could have been a massive boost for the players and a jump away from the relegation spot, instead they go into the next few games knowing fine well that March is going to be a stinker. I think the preception of standing on the touch line must give Hughton a totally different view of the game - with 20 mins or so left anyone can see that we're wasting the ball punting it upfield and we need a change, the 3 points are vital, chuck another man on up front so we've got more to aim for, try and bulk up the midfield to control the game in the centre and push forward from there, anything, but no we sit with the same style of play for the entire game. tactic that show absolutly no ambition or creativity to adapt to suit the game, a fucking shambles. manager or coach or whatever you want to call him, he should have the fucking football brain to realise when something needs to be changed!! we've slumped exactly back to where we were when keegan left and we played the likes of hull etc when we had absolutly no idea of tactics apart from 'let the players get on with it'. in terms of the penalty, it was blatent but so was bassongs on davies so swings and roundabouts, but we put ourselves in that position by conceeding a simple goal when the players heads were still in the changing room. Butts man and he hasn't got the leg to track back. as soon as that happenend you could see he wanted to come off, and the cunt chucked the arm band away the moment he went off.

i usually watch the Big Leage Weekend thing on SS at the gym on a monday and he seems to be forming a great partnership with Gomez this season. He's a chunky player but seems quite quick at turning opposition

when i first read this i thought it was going to be what work tool as in software or something # A sailor Jerry's and coke is my relaxation after work atm, and i always go on break.com when im bored at work and have a little chuckle!
-
I'm preferring the First Series atm, although this series episode where Murray wants to reach friends level is probably my favourite episdoe yet "have a taste of your own dick medicine" . Business Time is the best song so far, the New York thing someone posted above was on a couple of months ago on BBC and was genius, anyone know if you can buy it?

Bolton (Rebok) - W Manure (SJP) - L Hull City (KC Stadium) - D Arsenal (SJP) - D Chelsea (SJP) - L Stoke (Britannia) - W Spurs (WHL) - L 8 points from 21 i reckon, although the win at stoke would be a crucial 6 pointer so could end up being a draw.

second half is geared up to be very interesting, Jose is bound to rattle a few heads and shake things up a little. Inters front two are static, and i'm suprised how easy carrick and fletcher are finding it in the middle. Like someone said though i could see inter sneeking something if ManUre don't take advantage early in the second half. feels like an eternity ago that Solano rocked that cross bar!
-
its a pretty sweet frame though! thats what i'm loving about it atm though, from what people said i expected it to be bang bang chase fight etc but its the total opposite, or the first series was anyway. It spends so long building characters and settings you get immersed unlike most other cop shows like CSI or whatever where its a new plot everyweek to keep some speed. Going to get onto the second series, you may be right and it turns out like you say, but atm moment i'm all for it. Having said that, i'm a Lost fan so judge me as you will!
-
who are people wanting to win in the inter v manure match? for once i'm actually wanting manure to win, i like their style of football (bar ronaldo's imature moments, other that that he is a joy to watch when its not against newcastle), but mainly because of the amount of british talent on display tonight. ronaldo just had a good header saved on the line.

Ketsbia - i definately get what you on about with the few episodes at a time, every time i watched one i always followed it up by watching another, and as their an hour one each episode with no adverts it makes for some long tv shifts! Jimbo - i've only watched the first series, and can see why someone may say unentertaining for some episodes as they can be all talk no action to build the plot, but if you like good structured books / movies, i cant see at all how you can say its tedious and boring, the plot is indcredibly well written and you literally have to follow everything or you can get lost with characters and plot. By far the best Tv show i've seen in terms of depth and logic.

definatly be going to see this at the Cinema, only really get myself to them these days for something like this where the films needs a screen that fills your vision!

Eagle Vs Shark Wasn't as good as i had hoped for but worth a watch for some classic Jermaine moments! on a different subject, does anyone watch The Wire (if there's a thread on it i cant find it so apologies.) ? Just finished watching the first series and its incredible!! -
If Forrest Gump played for the toon, he would fuckin run his socks off too. The only difference is 27 GUMP would not be geordie*. I thought in terms of having the ball he was so poor he was almost embarrassing. When he was running down the Leazes first half, "goo on Stevie, goo on, goo on, goo on", and the cunt, like Forest Gump, he just kept on running, but he dribbled the ball out for a throw in for no reason. None at all, he had the ball perfectly under control, but he kept on running oh dear. I'll take a point, but a) I was bored Everton's fans are totally wank, c) ours aren't much better and d) Moyes is a cunt - what sort of manager plays 4 5 1 for 20 minutes when you're against 10 men. Everton were ambitionless. * technically the cunts not. i agree with what your sayin in terms of some of his runs were to no avail, but especially in the second half they actually helped relieve some of the pressure we were under at times and actually gave us a different route out of defense apart from hoofing it upfield. Having said that, he wouldn't have needed to had Lovenkrands acutally put in half an shift today out wide (and yes the taylor running the ball out was before the sending off before you say so). our back four were a solid unit today, Taylor included.

Good result giving Nolan awful tackle and resulting effects on the numbers. Bassong had Jo in his pocket all match, another excellent display in Black and White, he's verging on player of the season IMO. Probably get stick for this, but i thought Steven Taylor ran his socks off today, sometimes forgets to get back as quickly as he gets forwards but i thought he helped the midfield out a fair bit in the second half. all in all i reckon we could have got something from the game before Nolan lost his head, but a crucial point in the end! 5 points above the drop zone, but with blackburn having a game in a hand its still going to be tight as hell!
