  1. agreed, thought that ages ago. gettin rid of llambias is a good start but take urself out while ur at it Cashley
  2. We couldn't afford Cashley. I love cheryl be a far better owner than bloody Ashley. well at least the kit would be nice Its Wednesday tomorrow, wheres all the "end of the week" stories???
  3. heh crap free kick but it shouldn't have been given away in the first place! silly unnecessary errors cost us dearly last season.
  4. nervy can sense a goal comin and not for us
  5. imo he's always wanted to stay but was torn because of the state of the club. He's a toon fan too remember. I think he's saying it now to ward off any potential moves before the window closes. I think he's felt forced into saying something because he's been advised the club have wanted to sell him. Its much the same as when Barton came out and said he wanted to stay amidst all the rumours the club were trying to sell him (and every fucker else) last year, albeit Keegan is allegedly to have told him to do it. I am glad if he stays, still think there's time yet though and Ashley could try force a sale
  6. At least Moat is recognised as a realistic purchaser who, if successful, is expected to get rid of Derek Llambias faster than the time it took the current managing director to streak across St James' Park - and then deny he did it. hahaha that cheered me up! damn funny even if it probably made up
  7. Im enjoyin seeing some spirit back in the team, sadly lacked that for a while now. a cup run would be great, promotion also great under the right circumstances or we will just yoyo, a rebuild is needed, i don't think it will happen under Ashley. At this point, im just praying we have enough players to get us through the season without further relegation. Looking forward to the game tomoro, Come on Boys!!
  8. Well it aint over yet folks, Newcastle striker set for shock exit Published 22:42 30/08/09 By Alan Nixon http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Newca...icle138829.html Newcastle United's young striker Andy Carroll is primed for a shock exit before the window shuts - with Wolves and Bolton alerted to a possible sale. The England under-21 prospect is fancied by Mick McCarthy and Wanderers chief Gary Megson has also made an inquiry for him. Carroll is a local hero on Tyneside after coming through the ranks but he is keen to go to the top level as soon as possible - and he may look to leave if a Premier League side agrees a price before the deadline. The powerful forward is also involved in a bitter tug-of-war between two agents who are trying to find him a new home and that has added another intriguing element to the chase. The Toon are short of forwards right now and the loss of Carroll would be a blow to their promotion hopes, but if the money is right he may be gone.
  9. I dont care I love him always will wish he was still here ..
  10. Missed the start but would be great if he was asked about us! Bet it would be damning of Ashley
  11. always loved him He just said his best time was Newcastle, loved the fans and loved living in the city
  12. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/4663...-Newcastle.html STEVEN TAYLOR FEARS STITCH-UP Defender wants to stay at troubled Newcastle BEING FORCED OUT - Steven Taylor By MARTIN HARDY, 22/08/2009 NEWCASTLE defender Steven Taylor fears he will be forced out to ease the club's crippling financial problems. The England Under-21 captain is one of the few saleable players left at St James' Park. Owner Mike Ashley still wants to boost the Toon's coffers and is prepared to sell Taylor for £8million. And Taylor, 23, believes a move to Everton is being arranged behind his back. A source close to the player said: "He feels he is being forced out. "They are trying to get rid of the kid because they can't get rid of other players. They want to discredit him. "It's so sad. They are trying to make him look a villain. He is gutted. The kid's been there since he was nine. He loves the club." The club's future still lies on a knife edge with Ashley STILL undecided on whether to sell. He needs to reduce the club's £48m wage bill to help push through a sale. Ashley will make a final decision on Barry Moat's bid this week but the would-be buyer needs more funds to service the £40m overdraft he will inherit. Sources close to Freddy Shepherd, who has tabled a £60m bid, insist he has NOT joined forces with Ray Ranson to try and take control.
  13. theres a stream??? or just radio? cud someone pm me if there is plzzz
  14. And our very own Leazes. I remember him saying "beware what you wish for the grass isnt always greener" to which I think my reply was something along the lines of "whichever way we go is a gamble and I sure as hell prefer the idea of gambling on Ashley". fucking hell Pud, slightly off topic but what's the craic with this Graham Roberts guy? He's just been on SSN making a complete fucking twat of himself and name dropped NUSC/T. Who? Never heard of him????? lol says a lot. I thought it was bull when i saw it to be honest. Seems to be saying what the fans wanna here.
  15. It makes you wonder how much backing Mort has though? Don't get me wrong I'd love to see Ashley gone but I also want someone to buy the club who is not going to saddle it with debt and who also has the money to invest. Sounds to me as if Mort is struggle just to afford to buy the club, nevermind have money for the much needed investment. im torn on this, part of me thinks the post regarding the value of this club being purposely overvalued to ward off buyers and he repeats his oh well we didnt have time to do transfers thanks to pending sale is true, part feels that maybe because the club is overvalued, moat is being shrewd not paying more than its worth and its not about lack of funds, the rest of me thinks maybe if this is at all true that yes moat is strugglin to raise the capital and will therefore not have sufficient funds to put into the club, arrrrrrghhh wen will it end ???? 90% sure we will be stuck with ashley and kinnear next week and some quickie loan deals will be all we get from the window, losing duff taylor and anyone else that offers come in for..
  16. We dont need no joe kinnear. We dont need no thought control. No more idiots in the boardroom. Ashley, leave our club alone. Hey,ashley, leave our club alone! All in all wer not just a brick in ur wall. All in all youre just another prick in the wall. repeated to the tune of brick in the wall by Pink Floyd. change the lyrics but u get the idea
  17. I have honestly never felt such hatred for a person as i do for him, and that includes the ex bf who nicked stuff from me!
  18. walkin in a dreary wonderland fits perfectly fine for this club unfortunately
  19. A decent businessman?? In charge of this club is there such a thing ??? One can only hope this is the case, knowing this club I would go with the least appealing option as the truth, seems to work that way everytime!
  20. Just when ya think Ashley couldn't make another bad decision... he goes and does it again! O'Leary?? Seriously? Are you trying to get the title for the worst ever club owner here or what! If he thinks he needs to get a manager in, why not Shearer?? Someone should sit him down and force him to read all the views of ppl in football, has anyone not said appoint Shearer now?
  21. Has anyone any idea where i can find the bbc bobby robson tributes? my pvr hdd has failed, i got as far as shearer talking before the tribute match, then it stopped couldn't watch it at the time because tv was banned, i had just had my eyes lasered, then when he died I couldn't bring myself to watch it sooner than now, i keep welling up. I have found the game on itv player but the bbc tributes are gone and I cannot download off itv afaik. Thanks
  22. hmm yeah interesting interview there, certainly left it open to interpretation..
  23. Mates with Ashley apparently... All the exec box crew are probably friendly with each other to some degree. just had a thought that Moat was a front for Shepherd. I'd still take that, I want Ashley out at any cost now - he's a cancer to the club that needs treatment before it gets terminal. Before?? Gonna take a shitload of chemo
