If you season and brown quorn properly in the pan it can be really tasty. I don't get why veggies and vegans would want to eat Quorn or other imitation meat products... nothing against the stuff but surely the whole point of being a veggie or vegan is that you don't want to eat meat and are happy with vegetables instead? WHAT...the fuck...............is..............QUORN? i thought wiki had just mis-spelled corn.

The Free Market finds a price...then corporations, lobbyists & government artificially inflate it so others can't improve on their cost model. Capitalism rules Cartels rule! Price fixing eh? Have you turned your back on Bill? Still cannot understand how it can be "illegal" to buy commercially sold CD's for ~£3 in the far east, ship them and sell them for £4.50 in the UK though. It's like say "well if coal costs £10 a ton to mine in the UK then that is what will be charged, even if it's actually costs £1 a ton to mine it and ship it from the Ukraine" and then making a law to support it. Just finished Globalization and it's Discontents the other week (Cheers for the recommendation Chez) where Stiglitz highlights the outrageous contradiction in the US where they use "anti-dumping rights" to do exactly that. http://everything2.com/title/Globalization...its+Discontents you should also try The Collapse of Globalism by John Ralston Saul

currently sitting in Vancouver airport, connecting flight has been delayed due to general back log in North American airspace. spent the 4 hour flight from Toronto trying to figure out why the entertainment system had been blanked out, according to our pilot because the US has banned in flight entertainment if your plane goes through US airspace. Anyone got any thoughts on why? only thing I could think of was they wanted us keeping an eye on each other, not zoning out to a movie or t.v. show

Saw this last night.........WOW, not really sure what the critics were on about when they said the story was lame. IMO it's another winner from Cameron, the guy is a master at his craft, he had me on the edge of my seat cheering for things I knew weren't real but I couldn't help myself. Of course the regular praise that has been up on here, the film is visual candy I overheard someone say that they had vertigo during some of the scenes in the floating mountains, 3D will do that I suppose. As for the storyline I thought it was extremely well done and edited perfectly, no superfluous scenes everything tied into the story, might even see it more than once which is something I don't usually do but the 3D experience is so completely enjoyable that I will in this case.

Good job I bought that halogen heater then. It will defo play havoc with yer compass and the GPS guys will have to reprogram - but otherwise the main effect will be on birds - some of them navigate using the magnetic field It might also affect the Van Allen belts and allow more UV through........................... I've heard it can prompt massive tectonic shifts as well given the large amount of various ore's in the earths crust...looking for the article now.

Chicago Cubs haven't won the World Series for over 100 years (1908 was the last time) and haven't been in the finals since World War II. They've averaged about 40000 attendance the last few years. Maybe we should be twinned with them? The Toronto Maple Leafs (yes it's spelled like that) haven't lifted Lord Stanley's Cup since 1967, and it's still standing room only at the ACC. Granted there are only 20,000 odd seats but you get the idea. And yes I am also a Leafs (yes it's spelled right) fan. There are many similarities between Toon fans and Leaf fans, both can be harsh to coachs managers and player when any of them don't measure up to the perceived potential, both sets of fans are the most common target of jokes in their respective sports. Doesn't bother me in the least though, Law of averages my friends our time is coming, on your side of the pond and mine.

I think the best prediction is that population will rise to about 9 billion by 2040. Still a problem like. i've heard this by 2050.

My cash is on the Money. errrrrr.........which one is that then? Floyd 'Money' Mayweather. I thought it was Floyd "Pretty Boy" Mayweather? Is this fight definitely confirmed? It surely will be the highest grossing fight of all time if it does. I heard March 13th, doesn't mention it in this article http://www.onlinebettingalerts.com/news/bo...cquiao5810.html

I've got very little hate in me, maybe a touch of scorn towards certain peoples but never against individuals. Maybe thats where youre going wrong? Going wrong . You're the biggest dick on here and I'm trying not to be nasty. Maybe you could offer advice to Phil Brown on where he's going wrong, no cunt else though. The Orange County Wars. Mods is there a chance you can review the rules to ban incessantly boring cunts with nothing to offer. No one can tell me this kid has never been hit if he was anything like this in real life. Point was tooner, the white system in South Africa was cuntish, and when inherent racism is as ingrained as that it's going to take more than a generation before it is even half eradicated from society. The only reason I would vaguely support the World Cup being held there is that football is largely seen as a black sport in South Africa. The South African swimmer in Muriel's Wedding sums the whites up over there. cheers.........i agree, are you lot seeing the advert for the new Clint Eastwood movie over there....Invictus, very inspiring story (if you beleive the ad) bout post apartheid SA. and for what it's worth I think everybody is overlooking the african teams this WC, the boost of a home crowd (whether continental or country) should not be overlooked in my estimate.

ANYWAY...........getting back to boxing......... anyone care to give their thoughts on the Pacman/Mayweather fight this spring?

Stevie, not sure what your point was before this became (yet another) KD flame war, and it was a rather long OP.....please paraphrase. cheers

i was just suggesting that an attack on the game would be easier in SA than say london or washington.

It's the World Cup not Die Hard 5. bit naive....non? Dans les nuits sud-africaines don' les hommes vont pêcher avec les dindes pour attraper des perroquets ? In the South-African nights don' will the men fish with turkeys to catch parrots? ......uh, pardon?

you can register ( for free)for Ubisoft's "Uplay" at uplay.com allows you to build up uplay points within the game which you can redeem for exclusive content at the beginning screen instead of picking storymode, press triangle to go to uplay i've unlocked throwing knife belt (+5 throwing knives) Altair's outfit and the Auditore Family Crypt (although i can't get in yet) i assume that this will be the way further DLC will be administered

FEKKING BRILLIANT!!!!!!! amazing storyline, keeps getting better and better , got me hooked for the next one. gameplay is typically ubisoft awkward, but you get used to it, doesn't hinder an otherwise stellar gaming experience.

But this basically says that some midgies that used to be abundant are now declining...... Means nothing really. They might do this every 7000 years as the earth warms and cools naturally. Its this sort of scientific crap that annoys me. Probably costs hundreds of thousands to find out as well. Until one of the Presidents assistants agrees to speak to the geeky scientist who has just got off a plane with new data or untill Jeremy from Sky news is sent somewhere to cover the breaking climate change story then it is all bollox. it says that there is proof, within the layers of sediment, that the earth would be in a period of cooling. instead we are warming the planet up, at our own peril.......the reason this is a big deal is that most lake beds have been scoured by the glacial process and don't offer as much data of the past climatic conditions. this data goes back 80,000 years further then was previously possible.......but you're right it's probably nothing

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/...91019162929.htm interesting article, new evidence we're fucking things up "The 20th century is the only period during the past 200 millennia in which aquatic indicators reflect increased warming, despite the declining effect of slow changes in the tilt of the Earth's axis which, under natural conditions, would lead to climatic cooling," notes the University of Colorado's Dr. Axford. The ancient lake sediment cores are the oldest ever recovered from glaciated parts of Canada or Greenland. Massive ice sheets during ice ages generally scour the underlying bedrock and remove previous sediments.
