  1. Your sources get better and better. FFS you are KNOB....why not look into who wrote the article instead of where it was written.......author Juan Cole Cole was awarded Fulbright-Hays fellowships to India (1982) and to Egypt (1985-1986). From 1999 until 2004, Juan Cole was the editor of The International Journal of Middle East Studies. He has served in professional offices for the American Institute of Iranian Studies.[6] He was elected president of the Middle East Studies Association of North America in November 2004.[7] In 2006, he received the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism administered by Hunter College.[8] 1975 B.A. History and Literature of Religions, Northwestern University 1978 M.A. Arabic Studies/History, American University in Cairo 1984 Ph.D. Islamic Studies, University of California Los Angeles 1984-1990 Assistant Professor of History, University of Michigan 1990-1995 Associate Professor of History, University of Michigan 1992-1995 Director, Center for Middle Eastern and North African Studies, University of Michigan 1995- Professor of History, University of Michigan (from Wiki......hope thats acceptable) hmmmm sounds like a fairly itk guy, what exactly are your qualifications again Fop? Ronaldo

LEGEND!!!! Nice to see someone shaking off a bit of contact instead of going to ground ( i'm sure he did a bit of that as well mind you) everytime someone touches him, not like the other 'Paper' Ronaldo
  6. There's just no need though, vast amounts of the offshore sea around the UK is between 5 and 25m deep, there's no great technical problem or cost building in that depth. Yes they will be more expensive than onshore ones, but the cost can easily be recouped by the sheer scale of the possible offshore developments (although 1000's won't help if there is no wind ). Plus of course the reason so many onshore wind turbines are being built is not because they are great or we need them, but rather that the government grants are so massive for building them at the moment a company can make more profit building a turbine than it can from running it for 10+ year. Madness. hmmmm....really? what is the net profit for building a wind turbine with government money?
  7. holycrap............espn gamecast of the match says 12 to 4 shots on net, in favour of Blackpool!!!!! time to tighten up
  8. should be miles better than the first one, new one has an economic slant to it. Can gain money to spend in shops buying new weapons instead of having to wait to regain the weapons taken from you. also more emphasis on the character interaction with the crowds, groups of people will act more as one enitity rather than a cluster if individuals. combat is different as well, can now disarm foes and kill them with their own weapons, different types of foes as well seekers and armored soldiers. as well AI is increased now hiding in a hay stack isn't a guarantee but to make up for it you can perform leathal attacks from almost anywhere ( Ezio has hidden blades on both arms as well for double-takedowns) I agree about the repetitveness of the first but it sounds like the Ubisoft developers have listened to all the constructive criticism to improve the franchise.......needless to say I've my copy on pre-order
  9. have you seen the bio-mimicry wind turbine blades? The design reflects a hump-back whale's fins, with bumps and protrusions along the leading edge, seems counter-intuitive but the bumps create air currents as the blade/fin moves throught the air that actually decreases the amount of drag that the blade/fin feels. Result, more efficient wind-turbines= more power. http://www.whalepower.com/drupal/
  10. never used that one but I use AutoCAD lite on my company computer and since I loaded the latest version it chugs along......I'd say if you can upgrade, might be less frustrating
  11. this and check this out. http://www.ted.com/talks/eric_giler_demos_...lectricity.html
  12. i respectfully disagree.....the new skis (shaped or parabolic) have made skiing more accessible, as well it is far easier to learn how to fall skiing ( everything will come off) than it is to learn how to fall snowboarding (the board is completely attached to your feet, good way to dislocate a shoulder). people usually feel safer learning how to snowboard b/c you can slide slip (board across the hill) with your head pointing where you are going, as opposed to skiing where skis across the hill you are looking into the woods. The new skis make skiing more akin to roller blading , same weighting principles to turn.....anyway have fun on the mountain and remember to bring lots of advil no matter what you decide to do. PS Pray for snow!!!!!!
  13. There are problems with Canadian Healthcare for sure, lack of MD's in rural areas, long emergency waits and redundant bureaucratic red-tape being the big ones. Lack of MD's......... not too bad if you live in a major center (lower mainland BC, Calgary, MONTREAL haha, Toronto etc.) but if you happen not to live close to a major center you could be looking at as much as a day's drive or in some cases a plane ride to get to the treatment or MD that can help you. Inconvenient yes, but when you arrive you get treatment , end of story. Long emergency waits............My Mom was a Triage/Emergency Room nurse for 35 years, biggest issue with wait times is people that don't need to be there clogging up the system. If your kid has a rash on his/her ass........that is not a reason to be in the emerge, go see your doctor, if you don't have a doctor go to a clinic. If your kid (and this really happened) HAS BEEN SPRAYED BY A SKUNK!!!........that is not a reason to be in the emerge, go to the grocery store and get some tomatoe juice and GO HOME. The people you hear about complaining of "waiting for 4 hours to see a doctor for 5 min", should probably never have gone to the emerge in the first place, people that are really sick/hurt, don't wait 3 hours b/c it's an EMERGENCY. redundant bureaucratic red-tape.........speaks for itself, it's here, it stops people from getting treatment they need. I think it is a sign that the government should stop listening to the bean counters and runnning the country like a business.
  14. Are they still wanting to seccede from Canada? Haven't heard much about that lately. When they were making a big stink over it, the Habs were pitiful. I've always had a theory that Montreal's destiny as a province is largely dependent on how good or bad the Habs are playing at the time. I have no idea what a tad zut alors is. Nah, they know they have it pretty good here. Montreal is a city in Quebec. Zut Alors=DAMN!!=BLIMEY!! Personally I think that Health Care (here and the US) needs to stop being run as a business, it's people not clients or numbers. The government is supposed to have the public's best interest at heart. If someone is dying of cancer and there is a treatment for it, they should get it, end of story. Healthcare in Canada is far from perfect, but there are more people excluded from Healthcare in the states than we have citizens ffs.....seems a bit f'ed up. Geez- nothing like a typo to make me look like the typical ignorant American. I swear, I meant to type Quebec instead of Montreal that second time! Being a hockey fan, the sucession talk was kind of a big deal there a few years ago when Quebec was talking about bonking out of Canada. Don't know why- it isn't like they'd suddenly be kicked out (Montreal was one of the "Original Six" hockey teams in the NHL- being in Canda, I'm sure you already know this; just mentioning it for the cheap seats) of the league. Totally agree with your sentiments on us and healthcare though- it's ridiculous that we have a political party that is all about Right To Life but won't get on board for un-corporatizing healthcare. Course, these are the same people that are also pro-death penalty, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. (BTW- the other one is no better- pro-welfare but no healthcare? Uh, ok...) I can tell you exactly how that conclusion was arrived at and it is in no way indicitive of how we feel about medical inflation or efficiency- the line of thinking would be something along the lines of, "I pay for insurance, they should pay for my care." Since most Americans don't "directly" pay for their healthcare, they have no interest in making the process more efficient. That aside, we really don't have any say in the matter one way or another. This country's government is firmly in the pocket of corporations and their lobbies. Even if we did all suddenly wake up one day and demand the process become more efficient, it'd never happen. Saying we feel little urge to make things more efficient is akin to saying the American people feel no urge to make NASA more efficient because of the Challenger or Columbia disasters, or that we feel no urge to make the FBI and CIA more efficient because of 9/11. We have no say in something like that. We should be on the hook for a lot of things, but apathy towards medical inflation shouldn't be one of them. .........hahaha, no worries i thought about editing my post b/c your posts on here don't fit the american stereotype

  18. I wouldn't argue, but he hasn't changed my view of him so far this season. I didn't see the game last night like. more of a comment for those who are still talking about getting rid of players, when we all know FMA isn't bringiing more players.............i don't beleive anything I read unless its a confirmation notice from the club
  19. regardless of whether you think he's shit or not, we don't have a big enough squad to get rid of anyone.....especially if the Fat Bastard is just going to the casino with the profits.
  20. Papa John- John Phillips autobiography shocking the amount of illicit substances that man has put in in body, even more shocking is how he administered some of it (man I hate needles) classic though, especially the part where Keith richards gets him off heroine by getting him addicted to coke.......seems like a good trade....
