It’s not though. Whataboutism implies the Saudi’s are getting unjust criticism. They aren’t. They deserve all the criticism they get. My point, supported with evidence, is that the media pick and choose their narrative from a fake position of virtue when, as coherently pointed out by Fist, Boris and Trump are on the same spectrum of cuntishness yet escape criticism by vast swathes of the media

Ive already answered that above. The histories of the 2 states are so far removed from each other it was impossible for them to end up with comparable legal systems. One of them is making efforts for reform. Whether it’s lip service or otherwise remains to be seen

As I said. Reform isn’t an overnight process. Most Middle Eastern legal systems are barbaric by Western standards.

Open the discussion up then. Saudi Arabia has some backwards traditions and laws. It’s a complex, multi faceted issue though, based on thousands of years of tradition and religious beliefs. The solution isn’t as simple as just switching to a British style justice system overnight.
