  1. alex was a hardocre member of LBAB so i reckon he went to the high school there.
  2. Who has really shone though? Ozil & Villa, possibly Klose. Forlan? Suarez, Sneijder, Lucio, HiguaĆn, Honda, Muller, Vittek......Donovan Shone? Or have looked good? None of them for me have been outstanding. Good but not shining stars. Klose's finishing has been good and he has worked hard but he hasnt 'shone'. I thought thats what was being discussed here, not players who have had good tournaments but players who have really stood out. Honda was ok, Vittek looked decent in the group stages, Donovan enhanced his reputation etc.
  3. Who has really shone though? Ozil & Villa, possibly Klose. Forlan? Which players in general? A couple of the lads off Ghana, Annan and the winger. Most of the German team. Forlan has been superb. I'd say that they havent individually shone, they've played like a team. A couple have stood out individually.
  4. It might be because the dutch are even more arrogant than them. I think if you were having a World Cup of arrogant cunts, the last four would be Italy, Russia, Holland and Germany. Did we get knocked out in the quarters?

  6. Shall i just give you a call and you can finish that post off that way?
  7. Facetime http://techcrunch.com/2010/07/03/facetime-...just-beginning/ Droid fanboy EVO review http://techcrunch.com/2010/06/09/dont-buy-...-flawed-device/
  8. Why do the Germans hate the Dutch btw? I get the other way round but not the German spite towards Holland. Is it just because they were once German? (or Saxon or whatever)?
  9. I bolded the bits i thought were irrelevant. Where in that does it discuss fiscal austerity or a liquidity trap? Where in that is a stagnant economy with low growth, low inflation, low inflation expectations and high unemployment. What the fuck has oil price spikes due to supply shocks got to do with post-recession expansionary economic policy?
  10. Parky, then alex. If i had to. Soz Meenz.
  11. Those are pretty much every quote I could find on a forum. The most positive points seem to be that he was good in midfield in League 1, and he's versatile. Someone sign up, ask them how well they think he played against us last season. Give them no indication of how we perceived him playing. Something like 'how did you rate his performance against the top two teams in the championship, to give us an indication of how he will cope in the prem'. If they say he was average then we know they are talking shit.
  12. You could find millions of quote like that on our forums for James Milner, Charles N'Zogbia etc He looked great against us last season anyway.
  13. I'm not one to start a new topic if I can cram it in another existing one. Its probably worth its own thread since this is the beginning of the counter-balance seen after all economic growth spurts. Everyone invested in China as capital and labour were cheap, meaning we could generate low-priced consumer goods with high corporate profits. Now, after the economic growth associated with the massive investments in China, the people are becoming wealthier and you could even say 'enfranchised' (not quite yet but this is China). This movement will lead to rising labour costs, less certain future production costs, less investment, rising prices, decreased competitiveness and appreciation of the currency. In short, its a paradigm shift in the global economy.
  14. More political than economic. The circumstances are very different.
  15. http://www.smh.com.au/technology/technolog...00526-wddd.html Topic slightly broader than 'iPad' dont you think? http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jul/0...trike-communist
  16. I thought it was funny anyway, Adamski. Cheech & Chong inspired too.
  17. Just remembered that i've got Paraguay in the sweeptstake Fuck em, Germany v Spain has to be seen.
  18. Delighted with the Germany result, we look better because of it and as I said last week, I watched our game with my german mate and we agreed before hand that whoever won, we would support them against Argentina. As a European citizen, am right behind the continental perspective seen in Africa. Howay Spain.
  19. Was there a massive regional/global fiscal tightening in the midst of a liquidity trap in 1979?
  20. Watched the whole game with the sound off, apart from the penalties. The most enjoyable game i've watched on ITV so far.
  21. She confused some guy's dick for some Thai Stick.
