In enough time to sink 3 pints before going to the match. Clearly never drank with a geordie. 3 pints, is that all? clearly never drunk with a y!d bet you mate get down there and its closed. No, they all drink in souless sh!tholes like the Hamilton Hall. Well I tell you what, you go and enjoy the ambience waiting outside your little pub in shoreditch (ST) and I will enjoy a few pints with a bunch of like minded football supporters. Enjoy the tapas. Like minded to you? Thats basically everyone reading this thread crossing off the Hamilton Hall from their list.

He only said you didn't know London. And you did recommend a Weatherspoons pub tbf. 2+2=4 tbh. And no, I'm not coming down for the game. He called me a plastic cockney, you sure you can read? You're just gutted I know London better than you.

Loads of good boozers around there, plus you are right next to Shoreditch also. The Water Poet and the Commercial Tavern are both within 5 mins walk of Liverpool St and the aforementioned Golden Heart is also good. Hamilton Hall is awful. To be fair to Danny, it does open early but you get a strange crowd in there. Its a football boozer mate, what do you expect? Tossers like you tbh. Am not going to be a Stevie substitute, so thats the last of it.

Female. I refer to my earlier post re: myriad possibilities.

You can tell Danny doesnt know London, thats a shit pub. Go here http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/41/...eart/Shoreditch Cracking beer and the landlady is a proper east end character, mates with the Krays etc.
-
The thread title should be North East London vs North East England anyway.

The people of Stoke Newington are fabulous too, if you like Heroin trafficking Turks and Albanian hookers that is.

Platinum. Is Danny B a comedy Spurs alter ego of a board regular? What I am saying is that we have done all that but going to watch Spurs is exactly the same as going to watch any other club. You love it because its your club. NUFC isn't special, neither is Spurs, neither is Man Utd, neither is Barnet. Its only sky sports that are trying to convince us that it is. That's why we all frequent a Newcastle board. I'd not presume to visit another clubs forum and spout on about why we're special. Yet here you are, telling us why Spurs is special. There's no Man U or Barnet equivalent to you on here. No-one's interested. I bet you'd go to other peoples houses at christmas and tell them how shite the presents are and how your folks are much more generous. I didn't expect you to get it. New fan TBF. Don't worry. I didn't expect you to admit to the irony in your "no-one's special....all clubs are special...you're not special....you all claim you're special.....Spurs fans don't claim to be special....we're special" posts either. "he's tucked himself right up" as Danny might say.

An IT giant’s management style scores in German football

For me, the article highlights that business and football do mix, except in football (which is part of its magic) luck plays a stronger role in fortune than in business. -
Cheers for the heads up Chez. I just ordered two tickets at the Barbican on 3rd August. I somehow missed the Cook link up stuff, will check it out. Nicely done Get there on time as it starts promptly at the advertised time. Our tickets said 8pm and they were playing (no warm up) by 8.15pm. You've got the playlists on his official site, includes Houses in Motion, Crosseyed and Painless, Take Me to the river, Once in a lifetime etc. The choreography is also one of the highlights, if you've seen Stop Making Sense, you might recognise a few themes. Only seen it about a hundred times, never in the cinema though...must resolve that. I saw him in City Hall in 2002, was a great concert. His banter with the audience was hilarious too. Same here

He released that B.P.A thing with Norman Cook last year which was great. Went to see 'The music of David Byrne & Brian Eno' at Olympia in Paris a few weeks back and it was stunning. Its not going to sound that convincing coming from me but it was one of the best concerts i've seen. 30 years ahead of their time, not even Vampire Weekend come close to matching the ingenuity, funk and class of Talking Heads. I saw VW at the back end of last year and for me, Talking Heads remain the coolest white boy music that has ever come out of New York.

He's a startling individual is old Parkster, i'm in no doubt about the events he describes here. When you've spent an evening getting cunted with the lad, you get the impression that just about anything could happen.

Carlisle v Cant Remember 1984ish. I was playing for North Tyneside v Carlisle boys in the morning (2-3 iirc) and we got taken to the Carlisle match, we sat in the stand with the everton first team as they were playing them in the cup the week after. That was fairly random.

Presumably if it's going to Crown court the CPS must be involved and they don't need the other person to press charges? That's just a guess like. No idea tbh. We should ask someone who would know..... Fop?

He'll never have a decent shot on him. If it's not part of his armoury now it never will be. I think he's a canny player. Everyone either seems to think he's shit or class. He's somewhere in between imo, although nearer the good end of the scale. He's actually got great technique, some of his problems initially were clearly to do with confidence. Depending on the person, moving abroad at such a young age is a big thing. Fans seem to think that because they get paid well they should just get on with it. Tbf to Enrique, thats exactly what he has done but his performances and the way allardyce initially treated him suggests the sports psychologists had him down as needing time to settle and a little nurturing. I think he's going to get better and better. As for Jonas, he provides one thing that has been lacking in so many players at the club since the quality of the team started to wane; the ability to keep possession under pressure or being tightly marked. So many games i've seen mediocre toon players unable to find their man as they had to give it first touch or made the wrong decisions and played others into pressure too. Jonas has fantastic ability on the ball and countless times his pace and technique have allowed us to turn defence into attack. If he had the finishing ability that people seem to expect then he'd be giving Messi a run for his money (hyperbole). -
