  3. Aye, he puts most "proper" journos to shame. re. Gallagher, not heard his footy craic, though if it's as 'Creative' as his music, does he just re-hash Liverpool punditry from late 60s- early 70s.
  4. He proclaimed Shearer as the Geordie Pope the other week, was quite a good article.
  5. good morning daniel, how are you on this fine day ? Fine thank you Tommo. You? yeah good thanks. looking forward to sunday ? Of course, always look forward to football. Shame the match can sometimes ruin a good drinking day. Confident but not overly. yeah silly early ko. where i live is an hour from newcastle so leaving mine at 3am Good levels of commitment mate. Shame some of the more southern based fans couldn't show the same. Will you be down in time to sample some of the delights of the Tottenham High road? yeah i hope to be down about 11ish with a bit of luck. whats your plans ? He's going clubbing at The Egg with me from 8am, necking a few bennies then up to chick-king for lunch.
  6. We do our fair share of shooting ourselves in the foot. I am just hoping we don't experience a Gomes flap resulting in a goal. Stevie and Tom will be intolerable. The game has that air of unpredictability about it.
  7. I think thats fair confidence Danny, if we get a result, it'll probably rely on a bit of luck.
  8. "Special" innit To be fair, I'm a geordie and have lived in London for about 9 years. I absolutely love it and can't really see myself living anywhere else in the UK. That said, I can see why many people don't like the place as its all down to personal opinion. I bet you dont live in Tottenham though. Thankfully not! I'd rather live in Kabul than Tottenham. The Seven Sisters Road must be the only place in the world where the fried chicken shops outnumber the inhabitants, Which reminds me, those coming to the game on Sunday, make sure you try a "Chick-King". Its like nothing you have ever tasted before Danny, serious question; name me one good thing about London that is closer to WHL than any other major London football ground?

  10. Its 'open from 5am to 1pm' and is 'a bit pricey', what did you think it was? Sunday School? It was a joke but to be honest, given the choice i'd probably prefer the egg. As am in the UK this weekend, i have been endeavouring to get tickets but with a fanbase as big as ours, it can get tricky. Have one last potential chance of a ticket from a mate, so for now cant really answer your question. Hope i do like, we usually win when i go the lane. Excellent, so so far you have given me somewhere that isn't open early enough and a nightclub that you said as a joke. I bow down to your superior knowledge of this great city and its drinking establishments. Hope you get a ticket. Cheers.

  12. As ALex rightly says I'm seething. Still waiting for those suggestions. 'Breakfast at Egg', its near Kings cross and is open from 5am to 1pm, serves food and alcohol and has a stunning roof garden for smokers. Bit pricey like. Wow that was one hell of a long search. OK give it a try and let me know how you get on. Are you going to the game? I was in a discussion with someone in the office. I used to go to Egg when i lived in London, it was quite famous with young Londoners, which is probably why you dont know it. I'm coming over friday evening.

  14. Image not found, well done. Thanks for the heads up
  15. I'm guessing Danny is the ginger one with the shit facial hair. http://lh6.ggpht.com/_kKg1fxwWuWs/RZVOrfKH...RdGY/adliv2.jpg
  16. For someone who spawns from a town who thinks gormet dining is a Greggs and a pint of Broon I find this kind of hard to take. The score is simple, if you want to drink before the game, go to HH, if not dont. True, sadly. As crap as it is, you'll struggle to get a pint elsewhere round there before noon. Theres enough time between noon and kick-off to get at least 3 decent pints down you. If people are that desperate for drink, i'd recommend cans of Stella before noon. Can I borrow your teleporter to get from Kings Cross to the ground? I thought we were discussing boozers near Liverpool st? Kings cross is irrelevant to me personally.
