  1. Never heard Campbell express that or heard it reported like. I did hear he wasnt right in the head and that any sane person would not then move to Newcastle to resolve that one. Gemmill it was you who said that No no no, I constructed a Shepherd quote based on the claim, but the claim wasn't initially mine. Not like you to not take the glory. E G O

Gemmill it was you who said that I never saw Le Tiss on SSN That footage exists in a place other than inside my head though

  4. Cashback. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vd8hGfSmOWI Top advertising for the long version too.
  5. Take each case one at a time. Campbell DID NOT want to come here. On SSN about 4 months ago, Le Tiss and Thommo were discussing his move and talked about it as though they had spoken to him. Not the best source granted. They said he had been to speak to a few clubs and was interested in a few offers but decided that working with Harry was what he needed, relaxed atmosphere, wanted to enjoy his foorball again as he had not been for months at Arsenal. If he came (as was rumoured) and had a chat to Glenn, he would have thought, this is a high pressure move. Why anyone involved with the club would come out and say yes we wanted him but he turned us down is beyond me. How any of this points to ineptitude is beyond me. In fact this post is beyond me.
  6. Vic's moobs are canny pert though.
  7. Roeders gonna get laced! Seriously, he would attract all sorts to play for us with his name. Rooney loves him for a start. Doubt we'll get him though But I agree. Craig Bellamy to return The only problem i can envisage is Uriah Rennie tbh.

  9. What was? The bottling shite who turned the job down. Nae heart or guts that lad.
  10. Is he for real? He was asked about the worst thing about managing Newcastle and he was basically saying there isnt one. I think he was just trying to make a point. Well, I think he'd be privvy to that sort of info. If he didn't want to talk about who'd been offered the job, he shouldn't have insinuated they lacked courage in the first place, then said he didn't know for sure who they were. Maybe he does know and by wording it this way can not be accused of making that info public.
  11. I haven't read the new mag yet. It looked like a newspaper article though. Gem doesn't usually explain himself very well, in his keenness to slate the board for almost anything that pops into his heed ... Mark Jensen thanks Roeder for taking time out of his busy schedule to talk to The Mag. On the editorial first page bit.

  13. If people want to know where the quote comes from, pick up a copy of The Mag, the one that just came out on Jan 20th. On the front cover, along with pic of Roeder is the quote "Anyone who doesnt take this job, i think you would have to question their courage". In the interview he said "I dont know for sure because i've only heard the same stories as everyone else, but in recent times certain people have allegedly turned the job down, if that is true then they must be mad". It was an exclusive for The Mag.
  14. Make more sense from Liege's perspective to sell him now then doesnt it?
  15. Rocker reckons midday, be about right. Onweyu is on his 3rd steak for breakfast. Should be finished soon.
  16. Flashy twat. Better than a fleshy one though.
  17. Well, there's some clout shots in it. Some tits and arse too. Its a bit too long tbf. The tits or the arse? The arse. The tits well perky.

  19. You'd have to fill me in on that. I just thought Babel was a reference to the different languages used in the film (and I only deduced that from using Babel fish ). I know nothing about the history of the tower of Babel so I'd gladly be educated on the matter. According to Genesis, when God destroyed the tower of Babel he also split human languages so that they could not act together again to build a tower to heaven. Separation of languages creates conflict in humanity. Our journey to heaven is harder. Or something like that
  20. I've seen cleverer episodes of Alfonso Bonzo. How do you mean? The tenuousness of the link between the Japanese story and the rest of the story was balderdash and piffle. I disagree. Why does connectivity need to be anything other than tenuous? Fair enough, the main story is only loosely connected to the Japanese story. Having this language group in the story is inherent to the concept of the tower of babel though.
  21. I thought it would have been a feelgood film? Doesnt he sort it all out in the end?
  22. I've seen cleverer episodes of Alfonso Bonzo. How do you mean? I thought that each story had a character that had to face up to some form of redemption was brought together very well. I watched it with french sub-titles, so all the arab, spanish and japanese bits i had to translate but i still loved how the personal battles were brought together. BTW HF, my mates brother in law was the editor for Children of Men, hes off to the Oscars soon. Bit of a mexican connection going on.
  23. Went to see Babel last night without knowing anything about it. Stunning film, set in Morrocco, US/Mexico and Japan. Babel is presumably a reference to the tower of Babel which man built to get to heaven. The stories are all about some form of personal redemption. Highlights include a clever inter-locking story told from different points in time and a couple of mucky shots of a Japanese school girls flange Recommend it.
