They do a podcast together. I find this board’s anti Bakerisms troubling. Mind Lineker is mates with Piers Morgan too so maybe he is a part time/closet cunt anyway 🤷🏻♂️

Lineker “stepping back” from Match of the Day till his social media usage is sorted out

Lavia (what a cunt of a name 😉) is quality too. Am not sure why they’re where they are (probably need a decent coach ☺️) they gave us two good games in the semi final. I think Maitland Niles is decent too but we look like we’ve got RB covered when Ashby gets fit 👍

I’ve seen Ward Prowse play three times this season and for me he was man of the match in one of them (away semi final @StMs) and pretty good in the other two. Which sort of makes me think you’re right yet simultaneously wrong… he’s no better than what we have….to me he’s like Longy with as you say a bigger goal threat. But if he’s at the level of the new improved Longy how much would Howe improve JWP’s game? 🤔 He’s not good enough for where PIF see this club, but obviously price would be key, he’s not a 75mill + player regardless of who his coach is . But if Longy can get to be a mainstay of a side challenging for a champions league place then am sure JWP can be too. Which is why I think your (and many others tbf) measurement nomenclature needs addressing; Longy never gets “might be ok in a mid table side” etc etc he mostly gets “championship at best” on here, usually after a defeat. As someone heavily into stats will appreciate on the evidence of this season that’s frankly bollocks. Longy just needed good coaching

I’d say you’re a fine judge there CT

Am fucked if I’m suffering both Chelsea and Spurs in 24hrs tbf last night was decent, Chilwell was magnificent 👍

So when your press allies suggest it’s bollocks too

Then there’s stuff like this….. which is obviously fine

Is Lineker’s time at the bbc up?…he’ll make a lovely “martyr”

Am surprised you still lower yourself to bother tbh
-
You’ll note I largely agree with most of what you say . The difference is I don’t think it’s particularly thoughtful or insightful but if you think you can make a living out of it mate you go knock yourself out Holden makes a fair point but we’re unlikely to find out how the conversation went in January. And it’s not hugely different to what others have said, none of us are losing our shit over this opportunity that may have passed by..

Am just happy that you’re in our lives to guide us on these things Dave, you patronising fuckin twat

Bottom line may have been cost/benefit….was the cost of bringing in 3/4 players in January outweighed by how much we’d make from only possibly qualifying for the champions league group stage? 🤷🏻♂️

This is for Red Wall and Thames Estuary, statistically the most enthusiastic Brexit voters

Seen a lot of comments like this over the last few days….so I thought I’d have a look….the first season Man City qualified for the champions league they had Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Yaya Toure. Slightly below that level were James Milner, Gareth Barry, Edin Dzeko and Pablo Zabaletta . Mark Hughes had been sacked and Roberto Mancini was coach. Looking at that and taking into account the FFP that we’re going to be held to and which they certainly weren’t then we’re 3/4 transfer windows away from a comparable squad

Yeah good player and a good leader, him & Shearer apparently didn’t get on , not that it mattered on the pitch 👍 -

Great bit in Adams book where they met in a restaurant in France before Euro 96, Van Basten told him to forget about retiring (think TA had lots of injuries round then) and to get fit and enjoy what was left of his career. Wenger came in and he won another title so am thinking MVB isn’t such a bastard after all -

Cooper annhilated them, including previous home secs who had been at the despatch box telling the same lies….
