  1. Starting to get that warm, tingling, everythings gonna be allright, Mikes actually a good lad, going to be a good summer, team positive feeling.
  2. PR? Ashley couldn't even spell it As to the Bonus, are we sure that its not some dodgy reporting by the media and by beating West Brom we end up higher in the table, equating to the extra 500k pay out? It's evidently £800K a place. Love how even something "good" is spun as pure evil This.
  3. Fuck me. While googling "spelling police" for an amusing photo such as this. It also brought up this.... Now she can correct me any time she likes.
  4. Apart from one thing, nothing in life quite compares to owning your first set of wheel.
  5. Feeling shite. Been a quiet day taxi'ing with no football on and now got some sinusy, headache, saw eyes thing going on. As a day on the drink beckons, it better clear up sharpish. One more job I think then time to call it a night.
  6. Same as Sunday really, but not hungover. Last few months have been some of the best for years, for loads of reasons, the day is coming (well in about 10 years like) where am as rich as CT. I'll have to reach Branson first before I get to CT like. Going on two hols this year, but I tell you what it is, I'm gutted the season is over on Sunday. GUTTED. Nee WC or EC neither. However may have a ticket for the CL Final yet it's not a freebie though, I find out on Monday. As long as your getting thinner while your getting richer. A bets a bet. Proper fat bastard to be honest. This is me this mornin after 3 hours kip, look like a fat charva 15 11 I still am face is getting chubby, we should re negotiate imo, June 15 is a fair target. Definitely look as though your going for the Micky Quinn look
  7. But are the believers?
  8. Taxi is your only hope. Metro and ferry queues are thousands deep and hours long. Quite a few of us lurk on Sea Way to pick up southerners wanting a fast getaway. Go past this point and it's about 3/4 me want to the Metro queue where your heart will sink. You could of course offer the lad a personal service. Im quite unreliable though and may not be working. If I am I would happily oblige.

  10. I was referring more to the lads who were not in the squad been given a "taste" of the big time by taking part in the pre match stuff. I'm sure the two lads felt on top of the world. While I agree it doesn't make Pards world class, Im sure it breeds a lot of excitement for the younger lads. Having seen the weather forecast for tomorrow, anyone know if an English match has ever been held up or postponed because of lightning?
  11. Just managed to get a couple of tickets for this one so really looking forward to tomorrow now. Will try and finish about 4ish tonight / tomorrow, a few winks and then up and out on the drink for about 12. Paused writing this to bring a positive weather forecast for a sunny afternoon on the drink and found this..... Never mind.
  12. Im sure that everyone is watching the known good players and where a scout should probably earn his corn is finding the ones who are about to have that great season. You can tell by all the press reports that we are heading into mad speculation season. Be interesting to know if anyone on here has ever predicted a signing for us.
  13. It never ceases to amaze me the misery people take out of any situation. A few months a go there was talk of simply trying to finish in the top 10 every year. People moaned that we should aim higher and not simply aim to survive. The word comes out that we are going to try and aim higher, maybe not yet as high as Liverpool or Spurs, but none the less higher.......and people still moan. I think they are managing expectations well however it still all boils down to what does or doesnt happen in the next two months.
  14. There is also this misconception that the fayre goes to some big boss and a taxi driver is on a limited wage. People often after cash has been exchanged will hand you pound and say "this ones for you". Also at one point Taxi driving used to be a 2nd job to help make ends meet. The people using taxis would have been wealthy and maybe that's where it all kicked off.
  15. No thoughts on it as such. Being a tradition in this business along time just like the food industry. Why people choose to tip one sector and not another is odd and probably can only be put down to tradition. It's not like you give the local corner shop keeper a couple of extra quid? As Stevie said yesterday it can be a 20p round up or a 6 or 7 quid round up. Had both yesterday. I would say 2 in 10 jobs approx don't tip.
  16. Women who seem incapable of checking if a toilet seat is wet before they sit down.
  17. For the record, most Taxi drivers (that I know) have as much interest in conversation as most of you. We have usually been sitting without a job for half an hour or so and are well into the latest chat on Talksport or Five Live or even sometimes The Legends (another pet hate as it happens). Anyway, we would love it if you didnt make shitty conversation, particularly the mind numbing what time did you start / finish etc and just leave us in peace to enjoy the radio. It is unfortunately a known fact that "slavering on" with a punter usually leads to a higher tip. My advice to you all is explain within the first few seconds how you cant afford a tip and silence will accompany you on the rest of your journey.

Listen I've got a proposal for yous why don't we say June 15th rather than June 7th, I've been away this week and not exactly been good. So rather than 14 11 by 7/6/11 - 14 10 by 15/6/11 deal? and if I don't hit it I up it to £30 rather than the 20s. How's about.........No

  20. Due to Judgement day, 6pm Saturday.
  21. No idea who is out there and who we should get, but just wondering (having had Carroll for half a season), whether peoples preferences are for another big man or a pacey small man like Bellamy. With the sorts of player we will have and Pardews assertions as to the exciting type of player he wants to get in, will we be wanting Barton to hit it long for a big man to bring down and hold up or for on the ground passing attack. I seem to remember Bellamy often screaming in on goal having slipped the offside trap virtually on the half way line. Im also taking into account that we may have one out and out striker in the team, given the likes of Ben Arfa etc etc. Think I lean more towards a big bloke given the crossing abilities we will have available as long as he have other pacy players in the team.
  22. http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/News/Gallery/0,..._medium=twitter Loads of pictures of the team in new kit from yesterdays launch. Still dont like it.
  23. I agree with that. You must have read that in the chronicle though Sunday Sun
