  1. 1. Apparently there's some sort of fact that says the average person swallows approx three spiders a year in their sleep!!!! 3. Thats weird that like.
  2. 6 hours.....six fucking hours DRAGGED round the Metro Centre.
  3. Saw a monkey fist lookalike at the metro centre. Thought about saying hi, are you monkeys fist.......then came to my senses.
  4. Happy Birthday. Hope its a chilled one.
  5. A little known fact. I sold him his first three piece suite when he moved here and I even delivered myself in a transit van. He gave me a lift in with it. Twas a modest little house in whickham. It looked a lot like this That is all
  6. Where? I raised this very question a few weeks back. I bought a full fillet a few weeks back, cut it into steaks and froze them. However when you get to the end of the "tail", theres not much to do but slice it any way you can. Even at the thick end, I still cant get any steak to look like the size you get in really good restaurants?
  7. Just cook fillet for 2 mins each side. At least leave it pink in the middle. Dont put cream cheese on it, have a dab of dijon mustard instead. Being through the pink bloody phase, particularly in France where their idea of rare is pulling its horns off and slapping its arse. Gone back to liking no pink and no blood. Strangely enough, still like pink bloody lamb.
  8. What? if you consider that our club is worth, say, £100m, being in the Europa League for one season is worth just under a tenth of the clubs total value. It also puts the club into a different bracket in terms of attracting new players and/or securing contract extensions for existing players. Given the apathy that fans appear to show the Europa League, when you're talking about attendances, I'd say it's a bigger thing for owners than fans. You miss my point Mr Fish or I havent stated it clearly. Quite often clubs will break into the top ten and then fans moans about the need to spend and push on for europe. What Im saying is that for a lot of owners, the investment needed to "push on", doesnt justify the possible outcome of competing, never mind winning. 9 million would get you one five million player plus wages. (And thats if you won). As a fan I couldnt care about that and would relish being in Europe and also agree it helps with player recruitment.
  9. In one of Lee Ryders pieces today, he says that winning the Europa gets the club an extra 9 million. But that into transfer context and its not a great deal really is it and explains why its a bigger thing for fans than owners. Saying all that Pardew is right to focus on looking upwards. I would rather he is motivating them with a push for Europe than looking over their shoulders at relegation. Mindsets and all that.
  10. Who's fourth. People should all say which one they voted for so we know where we stand. My fourth would be the royal family. I hope he dies btw, I voted for the next option up though because I didn't want to jinx it
  11. Made Nigellas sunshine soup at dinner time and could not believe how such basic ingredients could produce such a tasty soup. Serves 4 1 yellow bell pepper 1 orange bell pepper Garlic oil or just Olive oil 1 Litre vegetable or chicken stock 500g frozen sweetcorn salt and pepper to taste Preheat oven to 200 degrees Remove the core, seeds and white membrane from the bell peppers, then cut the peppers into strips and place on a baking sheet shiny down. Sprinkle with the oil and smoosh them about so that all sides are a little covered by oil, then leave them shiny-skin side up this time. Roast them in the oven for 25 minutes. Pour the vegetable or chicken broth into a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the frozen corn and bring back to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover and let bubble away for about 20 minutes. Using a perforated spoon, remove about 1 cup of corn, and set to one side while you blend the rest of the corn along with all its cooking liquid and the blistered bell peppers, then toss the set-aside corn niblets back into the blended, but not too smooth, soup and season to taste. Not my pictures btw Sounds and looks while making) pretty bland, but full of taste.
  12. Fillet steak topped with Philadelphia cheese, Mushrooms and Onion gently fried in Garlic oil and grilled Tomatoes. Very tasty and extremely filling. 8 Points for any lurking Weight Watchers
  13. Overstating it slightly like. Last minute goals against Sunderland and Tottenham and the performance against Blackburn should have us 4 points clear in 7th already. Thats long before we get into all the other "so nearly" games and the injuries to Carroll and Ben Arfa. Thats football though but we didn't hang onto those leads, or get another goal and finish the games off. And the reason is : not the quality to do it. Simple as that. With the greatest of respect Leazes, you should see if medical science can put you into ones of those deep sleep programs and we'll wake you back up when we are in the top four again. no, you're wrong too. It is as simple as that. A better team, with more quality and we would have won more games especially those 3 in question. You can make as many excuses as you like, but your final league positions tells you how good you are and those points, lost or not won depending on whether you think your glass if half full or half empty, will obviously either place the club a few positions higher or lower. You are just making it over complicated but that is all it boils down to in the end. When we went down, we went down by one point. One single save from Given, a free kick from Milner, a dribble and setup by N'Zogbia. Any of those at the right time, by 3 players who should not have been sold or made to feel disillusioned with the club, and we could have got that single extra point. Thats why I said...."Thats football though"
  14. We should. And while I dont disagree with where you are coming from, conceding a goal two weeks in a row in injury time is still unlucky in my book.
  15. I assumed he was just saving on rent but you might be right there. I doubt it, neither of the units are really big enough for a Sports Direct and in both cases there is already one within 200 yards. Don't think the Metro Centre club shop is actually closing. Grand Re-Opening tomorrow with players in attendance.

  17. Be nice to see a recipe first like just to see how healthy it actually is. Thanks. Se I can make a really delicious and healthy chinese curry using Mayflower powder which is the nearest thing to a real chinese take away curry I've ever tasted. Sometimes I even splash out and put some chicken in. Looking to find something similar for Indian as well. Thinking a nice Rogan Josh should be canny as its very tomato based. I also agree that if they can be knocked up in no time, it totally does away with the temptation of a phone in. I'm out tonight, but I'll get some stuff scanned for you tomorrow and pm it across. Theres a rogan josh in the 30 minute book so will include that one. Good man
  18. In mine, living in a Newcastle heartland not 50-50 territory, 80% of people fucking hate him. Like I say a friend who I respect greatly, who's football crack generally is second to none, he holds the same deluded views about Ashley as your own. When he's speaking about Pardew he calls him "Pards" ffs, Locas if you're reading and I know you do you know am right There's just so much he's done even if he does something right in the future I'll still hate him. If he spends 30 - 40 million in the summer, we get in some more Tiotes and Ben Arfas rather than the Carlton Coles of this world and we start like a steam train next year....... Do you think he will still get abuse from the minority within St James....... and if he does, will that benefit or hinder his outlook on continuing that improvement? It's not a minority in St James' it's most. There's a minority who sing abuse due to the evolution of the stadium not because he's not a cunt. IF he spends £40m. It's a big if, he could spend £100m and he'll always been tainted in my eyes. That £40m, I'll bet you £20 now, that our gross spend this summer will be less than £18m. Aye, I meant the singing abuse. Your could well be right about the summer and I definitely wouldnt bet against you. Just optimistically hoping that he sees what an opportunity he has to steadily build on a decent group.
