Its been a while since I made them but I think about half full should be fine. I used to cook toad in the hole sometimes and think I used to fill the dish half full of mixture. Put a tray underneath to catch any overspill and put far enough down the oven so that have chance to rise without touching the top. Also DO NOT open the oven until they are ready or they'll not rise cheers (if its right ) -
Trying to make them and got a good recipe already to pour into my sizzling fat ..... Doesnt say how far to fill the pudding tins?????

Got the entire boxed set recently apropos of nothing. I think he (was) only 1 year younger than Godfrey in real life. Didnt realise it til years afterwards but he was also in at least one of the Will Hay films and he still looked that age even back then. Arthur Lowe's Captain Mainwaring remains one of the finest comic creations ever for me. Might try and get some of those myself Caught the tail end of one the other day and couldnt stop laughing. They were in a rowing boat and ended up on train thinking they were in deepest france but they were still in blighty. Was talking to someone about it last night and was trying to recall if it was Dads army that had the tin hatted air warden??? that they didnt like.

I think with Barton though people are making too mucch of his form. He's not a right mifielder and can't beat players on their outside, so he's getting by on guile and good off the ball movement. He's also being made to look better than he is because of picking up frequent assists from free-kicks where he's floating the ball into good positions. Cant agree at all. Of late Bartons been sheer quality playing on the right and has been delivering fantastic dead balls from all over the park. If Tiote and Barton are on their game then Nolan as a good goalscorer / poacher is handy to have in the team, especially when we only have one decent forward. I am still hopeful that we can done some business in January and if we could get a pacy striker to play off Carrol then it would take even more pressure off Nolan. I would also like to see someone (Ferguson??) as an option instead of Jonas. Cant understand why Vuckic is not even getting on the bench.

Ashley --- Carrol not for sale....... at any price!

I want to believe! I want to live in an Ashley wonderland and believe that when we stay up, Hughton will be appointed, we'll be out of debt and in a position to keep growing steadily eventually breaking into the top four..... I want to believe so bad it hurts. But.....But this is Newcastle A few more bad results, Hughton goes, Kinnear steps in, players want out...... Above everything else we just need a little bit of lady luck that allows results to go right, Hughton to get the job and a period of stability to embrace us. If this happens then I think the dream has a chance....until then its just hope and pray. -
We'll be fine. Even after yesterdays shocker, this team still has more character and spirit than the team that took us down. Hopefully they can get their heads straightened out this week. Its going to be a tough few weeks but lets not panic just yet. If we can get back on track and not press anymore self destruct buttons we will be fine. I also think we will have decent arrivals in January to help us finish the 2nd half of the season off in style. Yesterday we were four points off fourth and four points off fourth bottom. Anything can happen yet.

Why the fuck do we put ourselves through watching it again on MOTD Well for me it was to see the Colochini sending off that I missed. What a tit! Why oh why have gone into self destruct mode after such a decent start to the season. Also hoping to see the Williamson "head butt" but didnt really seem to cover it.
