Christmas Tree

Battled strongly to the end but finally succumbed early this afternoon 15 minutes the recipe said. After 15 minutes a lovely golden brown outer pastry hid a soft gloupy centre. Tried to save by covering with tin foil and popping back in the oven for 15 minute periods but just know way the centre was going to man up. Gutted

Scones After the yorkshire pudding success Im thinking of making scones today.. Any good recipes. Looking for a nice cheese one and an ordainary one that can be filled with jam and cream. (im guessing the second one is just the first without the chees, but you never know).

While Europe is a nice side dream for my season and while I understand all the "as long as we survive" stuff from the majority on here, I do think this year the league is turning out to be the most open in a long time and you could litterally find there will only be a handful of points between say 7th and 15th, not the 25 there was last year. The "On the next Dexter" was pretty too! Cant see how this is going to all neatly wrapped up, too many involved. Dexter at its best this season tho. Read a quote somewhere that said all the stories start locking together in the final four episodes for one shocking finalé. Think we're going to see a few deaths including Lt Laquerta, Quin and that dodgy cop. It will all come down to one big mexican stand off and they'll all fire.

Whatever you do this week make sure (if you havent already) get to see this new fly on the wall documentary about coppers on the beat. It IS WITHOUT DOUBT, the funniest thing you will see on TV this week. Thing is Im not negative about NUFC at the moment, I think our league position is way better than I ever expected it to be at this stage however that doesnt mean Im going to get over confident. as has been pointed out in the other thread some of our results have been unbelievable but beating Villa 6 nowt, the makems and Arsenal at their place doesnt get you a Champions League spot or even guarantee survival. Its how you perform over the season and we've shown some worrying signs in some of the more important games. Id happily swap Arsenal and Villa results for a 1 nowt against Blackpool and Blackburn. This thread however wasnt posted to be overtly negative it was more to show that for every positive theres an equal or worse negative. Your joking shirley.. At the end of the season we'll be more interested in where Blackburn and Blackpool are than the other two mate. All in all though I refuse to be negative, its been a canny season, it's great going to the match now because you just don't know what you're gonna get from them. It's a surprise. We may, but when we beat Man u 5-0 I cant remember the other scores or where we finished. Relegation / promotion / Good seasons / shit seasons are all part of the drama of football.... Beating Arsenal away....... Fucking priceless. Thats what it means to me anyway.

Can I just add that why does realism have to play a part. When did football supporters become so serious. Live and die at the gut wrenches of a weekends results but come Monday, rosy specs back on expecting the best.
