  1. Sniffs mate, take it from me there is no comparison. Bafra is simply the most gifted of the three musketeers at Clairfontayne: Benzema, Nasri and Bafra. It is like a dream to me that he will wear our shirt. I think it will only take 5 games for you to see what I mean. Use the force Luke. P. Ok obi wan, in view of that little gem of wisdom (source?) why didnt Wenger make a bid for him at any point in the last 4 years or so? and is it Bafra to his friends or is that just what he's been christened on't'internet? I don't propose to know the mind of Wenger, sorry. But I'd hazzard a guess that he thinks Nasri is a more composed hard working player, with nearly the same skills. Wenger has said good things about a whole bunch of French players, but that doesn't mean he has to go out and buy every one of them or there is something wrong. Psychologically, Nasri is ahead of the three and really gets on with it although allegedly is a pain in the arse as well, but hasn't the forte for histrionics a la Bafra. Wenger has also failed to buy a proper keeper for how long is it now? And another thing, VP isn't the answer to tight games like Drogba, Berb or Tevez are. The thing is, regardless of how talented he is (and its plain that'll be "very") you seem to be overlooking what we do know about him.....he's broke his contract at two clubs by just walking out and he's so pleased to be playing in front of us at SJP he' signed for the whole of this season......sorry to piss on your parade but I'm with sniffer on this....he's trouble and is using us as a stepping stone...probably to fuckin Arsenal Prozac? Denial isn't a river in Africa old son I hope he's better than Cruyff, plays for us until he's 40 and lives in a flat above a shop in fuckin Benwell but its all highly unlikely Last year I lost 70% of my business, my family (back together now) and was in psychotherapy for 4 months back in England. What it taught me was to appreciate the little things in life when they come along. Never a truer word and the meaning of life tbf
  2. Is that some sort of sex bondage bra thing your wearing?
  3. Get xilisodt iphone transfer which lets you instantly transfer any files between your iphone and pc. http://www.xilisoft.com/iphone-transfer.html Either buy direct or is available via various strong rivers.
  4. Not guilty Monkey! We've also had a letter but ours was threatening us with eviction due to the neglect over the summer Everything was going great until the weeds came. If it wasnt for the chickens I would probably let it go. Unfortunately when the letter arrived giving us 14 days notice to sort it out, I had just arrived in the south of france with two weeks holiday left to go. My mate who I share it with is soldiering on...
  5. Currently in Germany and cant believe the sort of predjudiced feelings going on. First of all, hearing your first German over here speak broken english "Zis is your hotel key and you vill be on the first floor". Having watched so many holywood war films over the years you just cant help giggling like a little girl. You then see old men sitting outside of ice cream parlours and think.....Former Nazi! (even though they would have only being kid soldiers at best). Then there follows this sort of paranoia that if the locals find out you are english there will be trouble. Strange I know. On the plus side the Towns we have been too are Mittenwald and Freiburg which were both very nice, particularly Mittenwald. (Monkey would have loved the mountains here). Have also feel in love with German dark beer (wheat beer maybe???) Had a few different brands but really taken with Franzishaner Weissbier and edleweis. (Even nicer than special brew)
  6. finally just managed to download MOT2 and see the goals...........Bloody hell! I know its only highlights but what a performance. Bartons goal was orgasmic and Carolls last......Fucking hell! Ofcourse its early days but the great team spirit of last year is still there and that combined with some of that excellent play will undo enough teams this season. I know I shouldnt but "Bring on the mackems".
  7. You've got an iPhone haven't you CT? If you get Wifi, sign up to this; Tv on your Iphone It's free, then watch MOTD2. Just bear in mind the time difference. No Joy, you have to be in the UK to get that....Same with BBC I player---Twats
  8. Agony and Ecstasy! Set off from Nice at 10 am for a 5 hour journey to Italy. Talk about bad planning. Spent ages flick through all the stations hoping for something. Even tuned into five live on 693 and willed the radio to work for several minutes. Had to settle for text updates from back home. Even more gutting because you either think they are taking the piss and if they're not, your missing a quality game. Going to try and find a good wifi spot in here to download the goals. If anyone has a link to the full game, please post. I think Besty used to know where to find them. Looking forward to read the previous 21 pages but overjoyed at the result and in particular for Carrol on his number 9 debut.
  9. Michael Jackson sang just like a darkie and he was White.
  10. I tend to agree with that. The novelty wore off for me very quickly and I decided to delete my friend. Seriously, you add / get added by loads of randoms who you once worked with or went to school with and then suddenly find yourself reading their comments without really commenting or giving a shit. Im sure they are the same. You see some people with 3 or 4 hundred friends for fucks sake!!!! I now keep it just for family and a few very good friends.
  11. Charles Kennedy reportedly already held talks with Labour about defecting to them. Seems a bit weak to me that you ditch 30 odd years of a political leaning simply because you disagree with some current decisions. Surely the strong thing to do would be to fight your corner within your own party. Current polls seem to indicate that the majority of people are so far happy with the coalition and with Cameron. I appreciate the Libs are doing badly in the polls but surely thats no reason to jump ship.
  12. Just read this on wiki....Sounds pretty cool. Might see if theres a way to fit it in. Is it possible for fat tourists to get a boat trip up the gorge from this place? Just had another look on the map and its about 200 miles back track from Garda so it will have to wait for a future trip.

  14. Annecy really is a gem. I first went about 10 years ago with my oldest two daughters who were about 12 and 9 at the time. It pissed down and it was only a stopover so they all hated the place. This time it was just our lass and the youngest (6). The weather was gorgeous and sunny, we took a hire motor boat on the Lake, the mountains around the lake are beautiful and with it being sunny we could eat and drink and various pavement cafes. Like most places, totally different when the suns out. We then drove down passed grenoble through the Alps? and would have been not too far off that Gorge. I kep having to double take at those mountains along that drive as they are just jaw droppinginly huge. Unfortunately we are off to Lake Garda in a few days and then possibly back up through Austria switserland or germany (no definite plans yet), however as the wife is 29 weeks to the good, gorge walks are on hold for the moment. (Looks impressive mind having googled it).
  15. I love to see threads like this so that everyone can vent their angst I dont really mind anyone on here (fishing for friends ) which is probably about right bearing in mind its an internet board with a load of random joes who are only know by bizzare alias's. Even people who I have had a ding dong with, I still find quite amusing and its good how you can go hammer and tongs with someone in one thread and be chatting like old mates in another thread at the same time. There seems to be a hard core of about 30 regular posters who are all ok, except Kevin (sorry Kevin but you come across as an absolute tit. I did spend a while thinking you were one of the regulars with another account just trying to piss people off, but lately I think that you are simply just a wanker. Its got to the point where I try to avoid threads that you have started). Stevie with regard to your comments you couldnt be further from the truth. I have a very small close group of friends that I cherish and find it hard to keep up with them and family ete etc without wanting more! Monkey, with regard to being missing, I mainly use Toontastic when working and since June I've been off so really just browsing off late. I must confess to enjoying a bit of an argument, particularly with regard to politics, but overall its just a bit of harmless fun to me. Anyway, hope you are all keeping well. As I type I am sitting on a balcony on the sea front in Nice drinking Kronnenburg and watching topless luvlies on the shores below. Aint life a bitch. xxx Nice? Nice! Can't get Special Brew in France mind I know gutted I keep asking tho
  16. PS Really must reccomend Tripadvisor.com to anyone travelling as it gives travellers first hand reviews of Places, hotels and restaurants and has really served us well this holiday. As has Tom Tom.
  17. So Bruges was quality. A nowhere overnight stop the a place on the Austrian / French Alps border called Annecy. Again sheer class. Humongous mountains encase a crystal clear lake with an old canal strewn town with many a pavement cafe or eatery. Highky reccomended. Marseille. Absolute shithole and full of beggars. St.Tropez. Got to be on your must do list. To see a small little horseshoe harbour with all those monsterous boats moored up. Really breathtaking and the town is full of quaint side streets to meander along. Drove through Cannes and Antibes during a thunderstorm. Both looked okay. Arrived today in Nice and havent left the hotel. Its a Raddison with a lovely open air pool, terrace and restaurant on the top floor. It was pissing down this morning when we arrived, but got out really hot this afternoon so basically sat around the pool and acclimatised oneself to topless sunbathing (as you need to do when your getting on). Got upgraded to a sea view room as its our 22nd anniversary today which litterally nearly overhangs the beach and has a great view of the jets taking off at Nice airport (Trainspotter). Havent done France for about 10 years but must say really loving it this time.

  19. Tried his shit on my dog and it worked a treat. A dog that had pulled badly on a leash now walked unleashed by my side after a few minutes or so.
  20. If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Bruges might impress me but I didn't, so it doesn't. If you've actually been and haven't being impressed then I can only assume you did grow up on a farm and are retarded.
  21. If you're going to Lake Garda then take a stop off in Bergamo, proper little Italian town in the upper Alto with modern shopping area in the Lower. Stay at the Piazza Vecchia hotel for a proper Italian feel http://www.hotelpiazzavecchia.it/eng/hotel.htm Looks really nice their PP. Already booked up for four nights at Spiaggia d'Oro Hotel http://www.hotelspiaggiadoro.com/ On the iPhone it doesn't look too far away from the one you describe. Still got 3 days to fill somewhere around st tropez, monte Carlo , nice etc, so any suggestions for that neck of the woods.
  22. Spent yesterday in Bruges and must say it is probably the most beautiful place I've ever visited. We stayed at a hotel 50 meteres from the main drag called the Botaniek which I would reccomend. Ate at a restaurant a few minutes walk from the hotel called In 't Nieuw Museum which was superb. Food cooked infront of you on a charcoal grill. All washed down with a few glasses of beer called Grimbergen which was canny nice. Seriously, if you havent been to Brugge, get yourself over, particularly with a woman, (or fella - pc edit) very romantic. Grab a drink and watch the groups of couples performing very sultry and intricate open air dances in the old fish market.
  23. Ok so Im in a hotel in Nancy in France. Does French TV usually show the prem live. There seems to be a decent choice of channels in the room, however no sky sports. Anyone know? I appreciate the web will have it on but would have preferred normal tv.
