  1. Dont know a great deal about this story but have just watched the footage of the soldiers landing on the ship. As soon as they touch the deck they are brayed to fuck with Iron bars and then chucked overboard. Video here on Sky http://news.sky.com/skynews/Article/201006115641326 Not sure how to put video on here
  2. Fell into the that one Started replying after Jawd's post and got side tracked
  3. Quite worried now. Was planning to go to the North Yorks county show near Thirsk in June but definitely dont want to do it if its like the one you've been too. http://www.northyorkshireshow.co.uk/
  4. Fucking hell! Where's that?
  5. It really stinks this one. He's had plenty of time to come clean and if he was so concerned about keeping his gayness private, he should have paid his rent privately and not claimed. He is after all a multi millionaire.
  6. After trying to cling to power all day this shoddy little many has being forced to resign. (I wonder if this is the real reason he didn't turn up on Question Time). Fiddling the system and then trying to get out of it by playing the gay card. Thought he was a canny one as well.
  7. Was it a stroke or something different?
  8. Tooth Fairy The Rock Excellent family film with plenty of laughs. 8/10
  9. I was just waiting for you to come off with that tripe In that case for balance, you should have pointed it out first. Apples and oranges though since there wasn't one invited so they didn't refuse to send an MP. Good to see the Tories showing what they are made of though Again for clarity, I think you'll find it was the Lib Dem MP who was meant to representing the government who refused to turn up.
  10. I was just waiting for you to come off with that tripe In that case for balance, you should have pointed it out first. Tbf it doesn't bother me one way or the other because I like watching a good scrap, but why QT wanted to put out a programme following the queens speech with only one MP on seems a strange decision.
  11. Do you own a motorhome CT? There's a place where you can rent them to tour Scotland but unfortunately I'll never persuade Mrs R to slum it in anything less than a 4 star hotel. Must admit, I wouldn't fancy driving it either. But the freedom would be ace. Don't own one but have done this twice before and it is a great holiday. You are right the fredom to pull over wherever you like is excellent and they are very easy to get the hang of after about an hour on the road. The west coast is my favourite part and you can have a real good meander through Glencoe and up past ullerpool. While not 4 star, some of the motorhomes are indeed very luxurious inside but it still is a very different holiday to a hotel. It's nice tho to wake up in the middle of nowhere by some river with animals ambling by and bacon sizzling in the pan.
  12. Hoping for a fortnight round Scotland in a motorhome, a week watching the world go by in Weymouth, a few overnight trips to the lakes and ideally a long weekend doing all the touristy stuff in London with the young'un. All seems a long way off today at the start of a busy bank holiday weekend.
  13. Identifying the hire car as a Brit on holiday is not the wisest move old bean. However should you continue with this train of thought why not go the full hog and get some "dumb tourist --- rob me" t.shirts at the same time.
  14. You always seem to be quite interested in this. Is it because you are...... Just a big fan? Involved in running it? A former member of Bucks Fizz? Your Terry Wogan?
  15. Edge of Darkness Mel Gibson / Ray Winstone Had all the ingredients to be a classic but just didn't come off. If anything they over complicated it. Starts very well, loses it's way, predictable ending. Shame. 6/10
  16. From the independant......May help you
  17. why? Just a general perception because of her New Labour background and her feminist attitudes etc. And no, I'm not going to back up my perceptions with a link, and yes, I am probably being unfair to you and those I'm generalising. I think she'd be a poor choice of leader personally, I just can't see the electorate taking to her. ;) I think she would make a very good leader indeed. However Im sure the men in grey suits have other ideas.
  18. These new 3D TVs are so realistic. I fell asleep whilst watching a Liverpool game and when I woke my fucking wallet was gone.
  19. Agree with that tbf but its usually just political geeks who watch QT (like me) and not the majority of the floating voters who decide elections. Also its very rare that Leaders put themselves up for that sort of thing anyway so the chances to fuck up would be rare. Unfortunately the way politics is today with barely a fag paper between the parties, personality is a big player. IMO she has a lot more than any of the current candidates and the clamour for her to stand might grow if she puts in a few good displays at PMQ. I would add that even when she does fuck up it always comes across as in an honest way and not a slimeball way.
  20. Declared that she was staying as deputy, didn't she? That's what I thought. If I didn't know better I'd suggest CT was being contrary for the sake of it. Could be why I said they're missing a trick
  21. Pretty knackered once you've admitted liability. Most body shops will charge you an arm and a leg. Why not ring around a get a few quotes yourself to put your mind at rest.
  22. Ventriloquist Ray Allen has died suddenly this morning, aged 79. Lord Charles is reported to be speechless. Rip
  23. A very good commons performance following the queens speech. The two proposers were quite amusing as is tradition, in particular Peter Lilley, (an odious twat if ever there was one) was very funny. As expected Harriet Harman was excellent and I think if they'd ditched Gordon and gone with Harriet, Labour would still be in power. Certainly missing a trick with this gal.
