The bottom line is most Western governments are just Ponzi schemes scraping by with all their credit cards maxed out. There’s very little any shade of politician can do “within the accepted rules” to change anything. Much higher taxes, privatising the NHS etc All the things no politician will properly go near because they want to hang around for another 5 years.

On the subject of toilet habits, I found public toilets a bit of a minefield. If I’m in a nice clean establishment I’m very happy to wash and dry my hands and then use my little finger to hook on some out of the way part of the door handle that I hope nobody else has ever touched. Particularly the dirty bastards who don’t wash their hands. However, I then find myself in disgusting cesspits like Morrisons Seaburn (trainspotting’ish) and in no way am I prepared to touch anything at all other than my usual little finger exit method. In these situations I am happy enough in my own bodily cleanliness, and yes, I am that dirty bastard. And those of you btw who do wash your hands and don’t use your little finger are simply getting a handful of dick sweat, every time.
