Did the Quadruple with Liverpool - Premiership, League Cup, FA Cup, Europe League. I just didn't feel passionate about it, though (I don't like Liverpool irl ) so I left and joined Tottenham (it felt good to replace that twat Redknapp..). Trying to build a young team, and had a fair bit to spend but a fairly big squad that needed to be cut down. Made £32 Million from shipping out some oldies, and spent a whopping £72 Million on a mix of regens, youngsters, and players like Enrique, Dentinho and then took a risk on Kalinic after he scored 40 goals in the Championship the season before. Got an easy group in the Europa League, and have won two and drawn to Arsenal in the Premiership so far. Looking for a Champions League spot, and then will build from there next season. Should also add that one of my first moves was to appoint Nobby Solano as my Assistant Manager ^^
  2. Have been playing it a little bit more recently, but I'm not going to download the Map Packs. As if I want to pay them for a pack where probably half of them are old maps re-done (the only one I really want is the Tunisian map from COD2!). Anyone interested in Black-Ops? I have to say that I'm pretty convinced it will be the first COD in a while that I don't buy..
  3. I thought he looked promising when he first started playing for the Everton Youth Team. Admittedly I haven't heard much of him for a long time (well, nothing good at least), but I still think he might be worth a shot. Can't be much worse than Best, right?
  4. Birmingham score after Bramble mistakenly heads the ball out for a corner rather than to the 'keeper. Nothings changed!
  5. A bit of an experiment that may or may not work here, but might as well give it a go! Basically it works as follows: The first person (me) posts up a Youtube video of a song, with maybe a little description of the artist and the song. The second person posting must listen to the song the whole way through before leaving some sort of comment on what they liked/disliked about it, and then provide a video for the next person to watch (and so on and so forth). So to kick us off, I give you a band from Edinburgh called Meursault. I found out about them through my sister, who knows them in a friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend sort of way! They are largely unheard of, although this summer they have had a busy Festival Circuit which included a performance on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury. It is largely the sort of chilled out music that this video shows, although there are a few more upbeat tracks to check out if you enjoy them. The song is an ever so slightly more acoustic version of a song off their first album, and it was all recorded after 'too much wine', as they put it.
  6. As has been said, we have tried and failed before at doing this. If you can get enough people together then I'm happy to join. My Pro is an LM. Recently got 100% of the accomplishments, so he's a bit of alright
  7. I think there is some merit given on things like your personal statement. You get 5 choices, right? Why not just apply, let them know you have a C at GCSE Maths and see what response you get. I got into my University of choice with BBC, despite them asking for BBB. I guess the fact that I already had my results helped, as well as that I was applying for an English Course and had the two B's in English Language and English Literature, but then again I do like to think they liked my personal statement as well. Ok, chances are they don't bother reading through a lot of the personal statement's, but that isn't to say that it isn't worth writing something impressive. The UCAS Entry Requirements aren't always the be all and end all.
  8. Thanks for that Ellie ^^ Do have a few photos to update this thread with, but will get to posting them tomorrow! Just got back in from a trip to Bristol, and will see what the photos have come out like. Until then, here is a photo I took of my friend's car for him: (The numberplate was a quick job. Could easily make it better, but very tired at this moment in time!)
  9. Just a quick one I took outside the pub where I work. Was testing out some HDR settings, but it didn't quite come out as I would have liked. Edited the colours and brightness/contrast quite heavily in Photoshop.
  10. Some zoom lenses are absolutely incredible. In Kuala Lumpur we went into the Nikon shop, and in the window they had three cameras with MASSIVE lenses to try out. You could so clearly take a picture of someone who was a ridiculous distance away. It was unreal, and a little unnerving!
  11. I'm after a vintage brown leather case. The ones with the lovely felt lining inside. There are a few on eBay, but I'm going to raid a few charity shops to see what I can pick up first.
  12. As soon as I get myself a decent camera bag (I'm being very picky with what sort of a bag I want!) I plan to get more of the spontaneous pictures of my life and the people around me. Not even necessarily people I know. I have posted in another thread somewhere about my interest in street photography, and that is something I really can not wait to start practising. I feel I could get away with it in Oxford, but in my local town I would probably get started on if I snapped anyone
  13. He's met with Hoffenheim officials now, apparently.

That 'The Drink' one is brill. Was hoping for some rain to try something similar myself a few days a go, but it probably won't be as good without the macro lens!
  15. Absolutely know what you both mean. I think the thing I like about Photography is being able to snap something as it is and as it comes. I totally get how that can sometimes lead to an image being somewhat lacking, and I certainly know that I have to work on getting that 'edge'! Still haven't even had the camera for a month, so definitely still learning. It is possibly also a case of not really having anything to Photograph. I know that seems a bit odd to say, but I would love to be able to capture to hustle and bustle of a City which (I hope!) would have lots of interesting things to snap. As much as I love this little village, there just isn't much going on CT: Not sure how much you're into all this Photography stuff, but do you have a favourite photographer? I have a feeling that one big thing I'm missing is some inspiration. Through using Photoshop for years I have a ton of designers that I know can influence me and help me improve in my designs and the like. Aside from some of the old David Bailey images, I'm not massively aware of any talented Photographers (how awful of me!). Thanks for the comments ^^
  16. Just thought I would drop in some non-challenge related photos I have. I am still learning, and have only recently started taking photographs, so all comment and critique is more than welcome! Also, if you really want it, I can provide the majority of these in high resolution. Just drop me a PM, and let me know what you plan to do with it ----------------------- Equipment Used: Canon EOS 550D - Adobe Photoshop CS4 ----------------------- Sunset Soon Forgotten A photo I took by using a HDR type shooting mode (taking three images at different exposures). The image was vastly helped by the sun setting, which left wonderful colours and a wonderful light on the row of houses. ----------------------- Road to Ruin I don't know what I can really say about this. I just really liked how the sign looked, and although it was obviously put together in a hurray, it still seems to put across an odd sense of power. Don't think I changed anything at all in Photoshop, maybe apart from a slight crop to improve the composition. ----------------------- Promising Light The image I've entered into the 'small' themed challenge. There was very little editing of this picture in Photoshop, as it looked near-perfect when it was taken. Just a slight crop to improve composition, and some small changes to the colour. The light itself is currently the only point of interest in what is now a very empty attic, hence why it gave a very 'small' impression! I also loved the way the light was projected onto the wall behind it. ----------------------- These Summer Days. Just a quick snap I took to take advantage of a rare moment of sunshine. Very little post-production (just a slight colour adjustment). Loved how my sunglasses were so idly left on the table, and how the shadow of them looked. -----------------------

Just a thought. Why not change the name of the 'Betting and Games' section to something like 'Other', 'Misc.' or similar and move the Photography forum in there? Does it warrant being a 'Main' one at this moment in time?

So who is setting the first topic? Also, banning Kevin would be more than welcome.

Sounds brilliant. Was going to suggest something of the sort, as it could get a little confusing having some themed images and some not in the same thread. There should be a rule created where you can only post a new image if you are starting the post with some sort of comment on one of the previous pictures, as well as a brief description of how you got the snap as was suggested. I know we are all at a different level of experience, and so we can't expect everyone to leave an overly constructive comment on pictures, but I'm sure even something like "I like the colours in that, they work really well!" would be appreciated.

Sounds good to me. Who is setting the first theme? Is it worth starting a new thread for it, or perhaps even better, a flickr group?

Would you like me to pose? Nude preferred. You can leave your hat on.

Do have to agree with you somewhat. Haven't really had anything too interesting to photograph subject matter wise, though, which should hopefully change with an impending trip to Bristol and then when I move down South for University in September. But does depend on what you mean by being creative with subject matter. I have a feeling I can be more creative with this light-drawing stuff, but apart from that there isn't much I can think of to be creative with at this moment in time! From my point of view it would be what the photo is about. Ie Something you dont see every day or something viewed in a different way. eg Why dont you all have a toontastic competition this week. Pick a subject matter and post your photo on here. We'll vote for our favourite and the winner can set next weeks challenge. For example this weeks could be titled Simply Snail. I was playing around with dropping stuff in water the other day, actually...didn't really work for me too well But sure, if you set a decent enough title then I will more than happy to chip in! Who are the judges!?

Do you not have an inbox message asking you to register players? Sometimes if you ignore that then it will ask you to register players before every game. I think that's the case, anyway, although not too sure. But yes, sounds like a bug whichever way it happens.
