  1. Aye, that's what I do bring. Photographs!
  2. FYP Um, anyway, I don't bring much, if anything. Mainly just lurk, and contribute the odd post here and there.

Having a bit of an injury crisis. Got Collard (regen, CB), Agger, Lucas and Torress all sidelined, meaning my small squad is being stretched to the max! Also wasted my games in hand that could have taken me top, but am only one point behind Man U. About to go into December, and then January can't come soon enough!

And then with almost the same starting 11 I thrash Olympiakos 6-0 away in the next game :/ Ah well, still got a game in hand that would take me top of the Premiership, and have the whole seasons ahead of me! How are you finding picking out the good regens, Andrew?

Just lost my first ever game as Liverpool to Hull :/ 1-0 at Anfield. One of those games where you have umpteen shots on target but bugger all happens.

I was surprised at how cheap I managed to get Vela, especially because of how much you had to pay for him on the last game. I got him for £7.5M, and he has 4 goals in 9 starts but has been playing AMC and ML as well as striker.

Am 6 games into the season with Liverpool (I take my time..!) and am in 2nd place. One point behind, of all teams, Wolves, and got a game in hand. Playing a 4-4-1-1 but my only real strikers are Torres, Vela (who I think plays better ML or AMC), Dalla Valle (who is only 20) and a regen called Pages (only 17..). Have had an offer accepted for Matt Derbyshire who looks like he should be a pretty sufficient backup, but I still think I'm going to need another AMC. Any suggestions? Might have to sell before I can buy..
  9. Sol Campbell in sex change shocker? ""I have known Sol since he was a lad at Tottenham and am fully aware of what he has to offer."

Was one of the first ones I took after getting the camera. Knew how to do little more than put it in B&W, and saw that beggar almost perfectly framed by the arches. Was taken in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I've been into Photography for a good few years, ever since I started using Photoshop and the like really. Only got myself a DSLR a week ago, though, and still learning the basics! There are some great photos in this thread, and don't be surprised if I end up sending you a private message asking how you went about getting them! Anywhoo, suppose I better add a few of my own: (Ach, apologies for the size! Shall resize them..)

The home grown/trained at club rule has become the biggest pain of my life, but I think I have just about managed to deal with it. The Liverpool team that I took over was a fairly decent team, if only because of the Midfield and because of Torres. So I already had a midfield of Afellay - Gerrard - Mascherano - Ribery to start on, although Gerrard is 31, and a few other players were reaching that sort of age. So I sent out my scouts to find some youngsters to pep it up a bit, as well as trying to sell off the vast amounts of dead wood. Made 35M by selling off the likes of Riera, Kuyt, Nemeth, Aurelio and a few others, then bought in a ton of regens that I hope will turn out well, and Vela, Azpilicueta, Ochoa and Bertrand (just for the bloody home grown rule >_>). Started the season off brilliantly by beating Man Utd 3-1 in the Community Shield, and then beat Burnley 4-0 in the first game of the season. So far, so good! Still don't quite have the depth in numbers, and have a feeling that will work against me as we get further on into the season.

Have inherited a truley shocking Liverpool team right at the end of the season. A lot of older, crap players. Finished 7th in the league (couldn't do much about it) but did thrash Reading 7-0 in the FA Cup Final ^^

I wouldn't know what to suggest! I totally get how they have added in near enough everything an International Manager does in real life, but it isn't always too fun! Anyway, I got offered the Liverpool job and decided to take it and resign from my England post. Will keep the England game on another save, though ^^
  15. Got myself a Canon 550D! Bought it in Malaysia for £650, which seems like a great deal bearing in mind the cheapest I've found it elsewhere was around the 700-750 mark. I'm still learning all the ins and outs of it, but have still managed to get some great snaps:

I still think that the international management side of things needs to be added to in FM2011. Don't get wrong, I am loving managing England at the minute, but with my next game not for another 164 days there is very little I can do. I know you can go and watch your players in action for their club teams, but personally I find watching the games a little boring when you aren't managing either side.

Will start this on a new post! So I have the Semi Final bout with Holland now, and should I win this I will face the mighty....Algeria (:/) in the Final! This competition just got VERY winnable! EDIT: Joe Hart is my new hero. Saved two penalties in the penalty shoot-out which means I have reached the final after 4-2 on pens! Was 1-1 in the game, with Defoe getting the goal for me. Algeria here we come. And in the most boring WC Final ever, England win 1-0 from a Gerrard Penalty. Oh well, shouldn't complain!

Made it through the group stages and have Portugal in the next round. Could only draw with the USA, but beat Paraguay and then qualified in style by beating S.Africa 5-0 (one each for Lampard, Ashley Young, Agbonlahor, Milner and Defoe). EDIT: Annndddd beat Portugal 2-0. Lennon got the first, then Agbonlahor got the second after coming on as a sub in the 85th minute. Got Argentina in the Q. Finals. Q. Final: Beat Argentina 1-0 ^^ A Rooney goal in the 118th minute means that I now play Holland in the Semi Finals. Should add that Joe Hart kept me in the game throughout the entirety of it - including saving a penalty!

I love a team of regens. If they are the ones that you bought aged 17 and nurtured up until the first team then I find it incredibly rewarding. I used to have a Newcastle game on FM09 where the majority of my team were regens, and it was incredible. Only down side was that I had enough good scouts to find the best regens when they were just appearing, and if I didn't get my hands on them early on then I had the money to bring them in later, so eventually it just got too easy.

Am starting to settle on my starting XI. Interestingly enough, I played what you might call a more 'conventional' England team in a friendly against Poland but could only draw 1-1, and then when I switched to my younger side I demolished the Czech Republic 4-0 (1 each for Joe Cole, Agbonlahor, Lennon and Defoe). I am concentrating mostly on creating a side with amazing pace, and thus they are absolutely lethal when counter attacking!

Have started an England game to see if I can do better than Fabio! Have decided to try and keep down the average age, so apart from a few of the 'core' players I have been using mostly the younger generation. Just beat Ukraine 4-1 with 2 from Milner, and one each from Walcott and Ashley Young.
  22. I'm in Ho Chi Minh now, you know...wonder if I can find our shirts for cheap straight out of their Puma Village place they have here! Although I think its mostly the footwear they make here..
  23. My Holiday is coming to an end before most people's have barely started >_> Am in my last few days in Vietnam. Spending one last day in Nha Trang (by the sea) and then head to Ho Chi Minh city tonight on the wonder that is a sleeper bus (10 hour journey >_>). Got a few days in Ho Chi Minh before catching a flight back to Kuala Lumpur and then a flight from Kuala Lumpur back to the UK! It has all gone far too quickly..
  24. Was walking through Siem Reap before only to see a Cambodian in our yellow away kit with Smith on the bag. He really can crop up anywhere....!
  25. He just doesn't look interested. Isn't going in for the balls like he used to, and he just waits for them to come to him. Cappello should make a bold move and start Defoe in his place next game.
