Just got knocked out the Europa Cup in the Semi Finals by Atletico Madrid. Not too fussed, really. Will be able to give the Champions League a good go next season, I hope...Could only draw with Newcastle 1-1, but still 5 points clear.
-
In my final update of the evening, I will let you all know that I am through to the FA Cup Final after a 3-0 win over Burnley, and will face West Brom in the final. Have the semi-final of the Europe League coming up vs. At. Madrid, and have just beat Chelsea to take me 5 points clear at the top with a game in hand and just 5 games left to go. There is only one difficult game against City to play and then it should be easy enough for me to take Tottenham to the Premier League title! I am genuinely considering moving down to the lowest league I have loaded after this season, though. It's been far too easy!
-
Yeah I'm spamming like khay, but it's getting exciting. Have just drawn 2-2 with Everton in one of my game in hands which means that it's going to get very close as we enter the last 8 games of the season...
-
Newcastle are doing me a huge favour at the minute! Just beat Man U at Old Trafford ^^
-
Got a massive favour from Stoke drawing with Man U 1-1 and the mighty Toon beating Chelsea 3-1. As the table stands, I can go 6 points clear should I win my games in hand (assuming City win their one game in hand).
-
Annoying lost 1-0 to Man U. However, other results have gone my way, so I can go 6 points clear with my games in hand, which should hopefully mean I can hang on until the end! Think I will spend one more season at Tottenham, then I will look for more of a challenge in a lower league somewhere. I've found it far too easy to win the Premiership.
-
Can possibly go back to nine points ahead after Liverpool beat City, but my game in hand is Man United at Old Trafford. If I win this game, and then beat City when they come to White Hart Lane then I near enough have this in the bag.
-
Into the last 13 games of the season with a 6 point lead at the top (could have been 9, but just lost my final game in hand to West Ham..). Remains to be seen if I can keep it up or not, but I won't be disappointed with what looks like a certain top four finish.

Have finally caught up with my Spurs game. Had some pretty awesome results along the way, including thrashing City 4-1 and then beating Arsenal 3-1 to take me into second place. Four points behind City in first, with four games in hand. I still don't think my team has the required quality to go all the way and keep up their form 'til the end of the season, but you never know. Although I was expecting a top six finish and would have been more than happy with top four, it does look like I could just nip the title. Only in January though, so a lot could change. I have a few players who are looking for a new challenge, but I will hopefully hang on to the majority until the end of the season. Still going strong in the Europa League, but was knocked out of the League Cup by Man U.

Been recommended 'Wolf Hall' and so started reading it a few days a go. Only a chapter in and liking the style it's written in so far, just haven't had the chance to read on yet.

Playing as a lesser team is half the fun sometimes. I generally will pick my team based on who the other guy picks, so it's even more hilarious when you play some twat who picks Valencia when you pick Morecambe FC. Surprisingly he didn't quit, but I did end up beating him 3-2!
-
That's very tame, Tecato. When someone quits I just send them "cunt." I had a really annoying run of people pissing about on Pro Club Championship. Played 5 games and in every one was some idiot who went 'any' and just scored own goals or tried to get all the players he could sent off. Must be the summer holidays! But yeah, Fifa 10 is definitely not without flaws. I can't bitch about assisted passing though, because I do use it. I have tried it manually, but I can never get it as spot on as I want to (although I did find I was creating good chances that I wouldn't have made without it, I just didn't create many).

Ffs...Laptop crashed last night whilst I was saving my game, so that has now corrupted. The version 2 of the file is right back at the start of the season :/ That isn't a particularly good back up system! Urgh, not sure I want to start a new game. Might go back to the save I have just after I've resigned from Liverpool. EDIT: Ah, managed to restore it via Windows Explorer. Got about 9 games to catch up on, but it's better than half a season!

Doing better than I expected as Tottenham. I'm currently 5th, 8 points off the top spot with 5 games in hand going into January. Beat Man Utd in the League Cup Q. Final, and I'm through to the Knock-Out rounds of the Europa League. Even though I've done all this before with Liverpool, I'm enjoying this one twice as much.

Time for some self-portrait action. I know this seems quite a weird concept, but I saw some brilliant photos of people being splashed with water on flickr and wanted to try something myself. So off I headed into the shower ( ), with a tripod and the self timer on. Heavily Photoshopped this, as I wanted the background to be all white and so had to remove the shower controls, wall tiles and the shower pipe. Other than that I just changed the levels around and put it into B&W.

Rooney to injure himself in the first ten minutes, then Jonas to put one away in the 89th minute. 1-0 win to us. And in the real world, I will be surprised if we manage to keep two or less out.

Did the Quadruple with Liverpool - Premiership, League Cup, FA Cup, Europe League. I just didn't feel passionate about it, though (I don't like Liverpool irl ) so I left and joined Tottenham (it felt good to replace that twat Redknapp..). Trying to build a young team, and had a fair bit to spend but a fairly big squad that needed to be cut down. Made £32 Million from shipping out some oldies, and spent a whopping £72 Million on a mix of regens, youngsters, and players like Enrique, Dentinho and then took a risk on Kalinic after he scored 40 goals in the Championship the season before. Got an easy group in the Europa League, and have won two and drawn to Arsenal in the Premiership so far. Looking for a Champions League spot, and then will build from there next season. Should also add that one of my first moves was to appoint Nobby Solano as my Assistant Manager ^^

Have been playing it a little bit more recently, but I'm not going to download the Map Packs. As if I want to pay them for a pack where probably half of them are old maps re-done (the only one I really want is the Tunisian map from COD2!). Anyone interested in Black-Ops? I have to say that I'm pretty convinced it will be the first COD in a while that I don't buy..

I thought he looked promising when he first started playing for the Everton Youth Team. Admittedly I haven't heard much of him for a long time (well, nothing good at least), but I still think he might be worth a shot. Can't be much worse than Best, right?

Birmingham score after Bramble mistakenly heads the ball out for a corner rather than to the 'keeper. Nothings changed!

A bit of an experiment that may or may not work here, but might as well give it a go! Basically it works as follows: The first person (me) posts up a Youtube video of a song, with maybe a little description of the artist and the song. The second person posting must listen to the song the whole way through before leaving some sort of comment on what they liked/disliked about it, and then provide a video for the next person to watch (and so on and so forth). So to kick us off, I give you a band from Edinburgh called Meursault. I found out about them through my sister, who knows them in a friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend sort of way! They are largely unheard of, although this summer they have had a busy Festival Circuit which included a performance on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury. It is largely the sort of chilled out music that this video shows, although there are a few more upbeat tracks to check out if you enjoy them. The song is an ever so slightly more acoustic version of a song off their first album, and it was all recorded after 'too much wine', as they put it.

As has been said, we have tried and failed before at doing this. If you can get enough people together then I'm happy to join. My Pro is an LM. Recently got 100% of the accomplishments, so he's a bit of alright

I think there is some merit given on things like your personal statement. You get 5 choices, right? Why not just apply, let them know you have a C at GCSE Maths and see what response you get. I got into my University of choice with BBC, despite them asking for BBB. I guess the fact that I already had my results helped, as well as that I was applying for an English Course and had the two B's in English Language and English Literature, but then again I do like to think they liked my personal statement as well. Ok, chances are they don't bother reading through a lot of the personal statement's, but that isn't to say that it isn't worth writing something impressive. The UCAS Entry Requirements aren't always the be all and end all.

Thanks for that Ellie ^^ Do have a few photos to update this thread with, but will get to posting them tomorrow! Just got back in from a trip to Bristol, and will see what the photos have come out like. Until then, here is a photo I took of my friend's car for him: (The numberplate was a quick job. Could easily make it better, but very tired at this moment in time!)

Just a quick one I took outside the pub where I work. Was testing out some HDR settings, but it didn't quite come out as I would have liked. Edited the colours and brightness/contrast quite heavily in Photoshop.
