    FM2010

Brilliant, cheers. Loaded up the English, Spanish and Italian leagues and will be taking control of Newcastle. Haven't really played much of 2010, but hoping I can have a game for the long run.

Just installed FM again. Do I need to download every single patch and install them in order, or can I just install the latest one?
  3. Couple of interesting tidbits: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/20...-kinnocks-words
  4. Sounds like sour grapes if you ask me. What happened after the game yesterday is probably the only club 'party' that is going to happen. Saying 'they should really focus on next season' is ridiculous. Is he really saying that instead of doing what we did yesterday, we should of gone straight down the tunnel and held a team meeting about plans for the Premier League? We've got the whole bloody summer to focus on Premiership survival.
  5. You're going to have half the board requesting a PM at this rate. Like above, just 'allegedly' post it.
  6. If the White Kit is done well it could be pretty awesome...
  7. Just been revealed that Torres is out for the rest of the season. Quite simply: They're fucked.
  8. Looking at which ones he will be able to sell on in a few years time?
  9. Why would you want Fulham to win the Europa League?????.........Do you enjoy fans of wank clubs having one over on ya?.......Dear me....Its ammunition for the cunts.....there a shite club like pompey that should be in league 1 I want to see Fulham win because I think it would be a good story, and I like seeing underdogs prevail. It would be especially sweet if they beat Liverpool in the final. And ammunition how? So they can say that they won the Europa Cup before us? Please. I really couldn't care what they think about us. Plus, I'm a fan of Dempsey, Gera, Johnson, and a few others on their team. So you and your 3 posts can fuck right off. I'm right with you. Would love to see Fulham win it, and I think the main reason is because it brings back memories of our European nights.
  10. I had quite the opposite day off. Up at ten to blinding subshine, over to the shops for the paper's and back to the garden with the dog and some music playing through the laptop. Sat outside doing nothing in particular until about four, and then a friend came round and we sat outside for the next two hours playing guitar and generally chatting. Even managed to get sun burnt on my arm, but I put that down to the amount of time I was outside rather than the intensity of the heat!

    FIFA 10

Was in the crackdown on chipped games/consoles, I believe.
  12. Kadar starts. No Enrique. Am I missing something?
  13. I wish our manager had the balls to do something like that, but he simply doesn't. Any time someone complains (even for the smallest of things), he will take the meal off their bill. Someone complained that the 'Whole Lemon Sole' had too many bones in (it's a WHOLE Lemon sole ffs...), and despite the fact that they ate all of it regardless, he gave them it for free...
  14. They suggested that themselves. "What it all boils down to is whether you want our business or not". What I felt like saying was "Well, actually, and speaking not as a manager, I don't particularly want your business because without you here we can clean up everything and I get to go home earlier...". They seemed to think that 4 adults and 3 children having some lunch would make a massive difference the the overall outlook. Our number of covers will run well off into the hundreds tomorrow night, and 7 people wouldn't really have much of an effect at all..
  15. Bit of a rant here, but hey ho! Just got back from the pub/restaurant I work at after having to deal with some particularly awkward customers. A table of four adults and three kids came in at about three. It says outside the pub, and on the website, that lunch service finishes at 2, and we run an 'Afternoon Bites' menu between 2 and 5.30. But anyway, they stroll in, with give them the menu they can order from and they walk to their table and pick up some full menus on the way. He asks the girl working with me at the time if the kids can order from the kids menu. She goes and asks the kitchen. They say no, so she tells them that, unfortunately, they can only order food from the reduced menu (as we told them..). So anyway, they start having a go at her (and bring her to tears), and then come up to order with me and do exactly the same thing. I tell them all I can do is ask the kitchen, and as the girl working with me has already asked them and they've said no I can't promise anything. So I ask the kitchen anyway and, surprise surprise, I get the same response. So I go and tell them, and once more they start having a go. They are going on about how they "Won't be able to feed the kids" and how they've read the website and that says we serve all day (it doesn't say that >_>). And that's when they get sarcastic and start having a go at the chefs saying that they probably just want a break and are making it up that we can't cook them meals from the full menu. From then on they were just incredibly awkward and short with us, no matter how nice we were to them. It's people like this who I imagine have never ever workied in any sort of customer facing role, especially in a pub. They expected two non-managers to tell our head chef that he had to cook meals from the full menu for them, and expected us to be able to do something about it when we were told it wasn't going to happen. They thought that the chefs were just being lazy and probably had nothing to do, but what they don't know is that all weekday afternoons are spent preparing for the week end, and who could blame the chefs, who come in at 9 and are there til 11 at the earliest, for having a bit of a break anyway!? And then they spent the rest of their meal being incredibly rude to the two staff working at the time, so much so that another table noticed how difficult they were being. Fair enough if you're a little annoyed at not being able to get what you wanted for lunch, but to bring a girl to tears because you are being that rude? I can't think of anything worse. /rantover.

    Laptop Advice

Are ACER a decent company when it comes to Laptops then? I mean, you seem to hear a lot about laptops from the likes of Sony, Dell, HP e.t.c, but I haven't really heard much about the quality of ACER laptops. The prices of them look very affordable, though, especially for the sort of Specs you get.
  17. Saw him in Greggs in Newcastle last week..
  18. When I get back from travelling I am looking to get myself a new laptop to take with me to Uni. I'm looking for something that will last, and has good enough specs to run a few games well enough. The highest spec game I have is probably the Sims 3, so if it can run that smoothly then I'm sure it won't struggle with something like Football Manager. Don't want to spend TOO much, but will spend a little more if I am buying something with genuine quality. Have heard bad things about Vaio's, and don't particularly like the look of these colourful Dell ones. I've only ever had HP laptops, and have had lots and lots of problems with them which means that I don't particularly want another one.
  19. Great team selection from Hughton!
