  1. Chris Hughton may not like it - but why should managers get long-term deals? thats a good article and yeah pretty much exactly what i was thinking, I love the last paragraph
  2. Why do people bang on about the contract, you've got to remeber the type of person we are dealing with here. Fat Mike has given Ch a job to do, keep us in the primier league. At the end of the season, they will sit down and discuss that job, did he keep us in the league? yes - here have a new contract. no - you're fired It really is that simple, its the same in every other aspect of life except for football, where you get offered a new 5 yr contract 6 months into your existing 5 yr contract Don't get me wrong, i'm lovin CH atm and hope he stays
  3. I'm undecided about which name to get on my new top....so thought i'd throw it out to the forum, I'm literally for both players, tiote is the position I play, but enrique because I've loved him since he arrived

    Carroll

I'm liking how Carroll is progressing but i don't think he has the same eye for goal that the likes of shearer has, to be fair very few have and certainly no one in the current england setup having said all that, carroll for england would give england something that its lacked in a long time, someone who was willing to run for 90 mins and chase everything
  5. Refusing to acknowledge that Ashley or somebody who works for him could have made a good judge of character in appointing Hughton. Harsh imo. Hardly, it wasn't some kind of cunning master Plan, Ashely got Hughton because he was cheap, luckily for us he seems to be the real deal, so the fat lad gets no credit from me
  6. I think Taylor does a better job on the right then either perch or simpson to be honest (and he's quicker) You can't drop Simpson after that performance. His performances like that are a rarity to be honest though
  7. Exactly how I feel about the prick. Part of the poison in the dressing room, and shite on the pitch. No thanks. Hate it when you sit on the fence fella, for once could you just tell us what you really think? FWIW in his first season i liked him, seemed to be enjoying it here and gave us something we hadn't had in awhile (pace up front) but after that, utter toss, wouldn't want him back full stop
  8. I think Taylor does a better job on the right then either perch or simpson to be honest (and he's quicker)
  9. West Ham on the up and we are floundering currently, i think including both Nolan and Carroll is a mistake, hopefully Simpson to replace Perch, my waters tell me this is a loss but i can't peg a sore light, 1-0 or 2-0 with the rumblings of Houghton getting the sack to become common knowledge Begining of the end this one lads, lose today and a shoe in for relegation

    Carroll

Duh....duh.....duh.....du-du-du-du-du--du....anyone can fall in love.....etc even the firemen don't like him
  11. is he signed or on a loan? toying with him or jose for my new shirt
  12. It's Cantona with a parody scouse wig tbh. he certainly wins on the eyebrows stakes
  13. I like that we seem to be bringing in young talent, my only concern is, do we have the people at the club to develop these young players?
  14. Nolan for Jonas, thats what i would of played, nolan just isnt mobile enough anymore
  15. thats the annoying thing, Stoke will be really physical and getting in our players faces, one of our lot will fart and get sent off
  16. 2 great results since, 2 new faces in the side, I doubt it will be in their minds Saying that, I thought we played ok at blackpool? wasn't it just one of those days where no matter what you do, you're not going to score
  17. These home games against Stoke, Blackpool etc are good indicators of how our season will end up going, we had 'one of those days' against Blackpool but ultimately dropped three vital points to a team we need to be beating at home. Give Stoke a chance with careless freekicks and throw-ins and you're just asking for trouble, keep that to a minimum and we should beat them, we need a good attitude today from not only the players but also our support, (to be fair, we kept with the lads against B'pool). 'It's only Stoke' is the biggest threat to us getting three points today. Totally agree with you, but on the flip side we don't want to be going in there shitting ourselves that its stoke, the players should be told to really have a go at them, tiote to sit in front of the back 2 and encourage perch and enrique to get forward and help Routy and Jonas, Jonas to lay off to Ben arfa when possible, keep the ball on the deck and move it around, none of this over the top, direct football bollocks
  18. We should be tearing into teams like Stoke ---Harper--- --Perch---Williamson---Coloccini---Enrique--- ---Routledge---Barton---Tiote---Gutierrez--- ----------Ben Arfa--- ---Carroll------------
  19. Having lived and worked in several different places around the UK I can say I think the Cheviots ranks up there with the highlands for some of the most stunning landscapes in the UK, The road from Alnwick towards rothbury gives you an incredible view As to Cities, every city in the UK has its shitholes and its nice places, its just some have more than others
  20. The most recent set of accounts being the season before we were relegated. We are now, I would estimate £180-£200m in debt to Ashley with a further £30m owed to Barclays (assuming that all of the £25m was paid off the overdraft). Financial stability, its great man. Aye, so he's basically paid for Freddie's ambition. I suppose you'd prefer he just left the debt to the original debtors, so that we paid a shit load of interest on it but owed Ashley fuck all? Perhaps you'd like to suggest an alternative way of managing the debt that Freddie left. How would YOU have done it, peasepud? Pretend it didn't exist? I borrowed £110 quid off me Dad today, because a direct debit went out that took me over my overdraft into my personal reserve. I don't normally need to, but the holiday to ibiza was a bit spur of the moment and I didn't budget for it. I don't get paid till the 24th. When I get paid I'll give my fatha £110 back. If I'd just ignored it and used my reserve, i'd pay back £110 plus £44 in fees. He paid off £60m of debts that were paying something like 8% interest on them, then a year later took out £40m overdraft with an interest rate of about 15%. So the paying off of the £60m has cost him/us 3 times that? Hes some fucking businessman if he can turn -60m into -180m and still have mugs applauding him for it. those figures legit or have you pulled them out your arse?
  21. Book arrived today, I'm planning to read it and Sir Bob's autobiography next week on holiday
  22. All I can say is wow lol the first part is fair enough, the 2nd part shows they are fucking mugs
  23. Still waiting for a PM if anyone can send me one I'd appreciate it, thanks guys
