  1. Went to the Indian Takeaway last night. Got a Balti, guy tipped it in a carrier bag. I complained he said "We are not allowed to put Indians in containers any more"
  2. Great news Stevie. See man, you're hard as nails (quite literally with Dr Splint Arse and nee jizzing for 16 days) lad, well chuffed for you.

  9. Aye, thats another thing I look for when buying fruit and veg in the supermarket. Its all bloody South African or the like!
  10. I also support local charities. I give any unwanted clothes to them and I also help out at my local charities.
  11. Went to see the Inbetweeners 2 yesterday. Was good. Still prefer the series though over the films.
  12. When it comes to buying stuff, do you just jump on the net (where possible) and get it for the ease, or do you try and use local shops and services where possible? I don't mean popping down to the Tesco Express either. I have stopped buying meat at the supermarket as we have a great local Butchers. Some of the meat is more expensive, but the majority its cheaper and its great meat. The service you get is more personal and last week, they chucked in a couple of 'freebies'. I am trying to do this with all my shopping, however we don't have a decent greengrocers near us, so that's a shame, but we do have a good bakers and get my bread and stuff from there. Last year a cycle shop opened and since then I have tried stopping getting stuff off the net at shops like Wiggle etc and use them. I want a new set of brakes. On the net I can get them for £120, local bike shop, however its £210. Now thats a big difference, but then again, that's with them fitting them, bleeding them etc (I can do myself) so its a job less I have to do and I get a satisfaction knowing I am supporting local business. One other area I have cut down on and hoping to stop altogether, is Amazon. I do not like their approach to business and zero hour contracts. Anyone else do similar?
  13. Canny, will have a look at that one. Just finishing Emma Oreilly's book. Its a good read, but a frustrating one at that. Saying how she is a clean swanny, yet her actions say otherwise.
