  1. trouble with us lefties, is we don't really work on our right feet... i didn't up until about 4 -5 years ago... i now score around about 1 in 3 on my left....
  2. Its a good analogy that. more like howard from the halifax... ! just playing.
  3. Happy Birthday for last week then! I only discovered internet forums around 2005/6 which explains the well roundedness of my character. Absolutely. Goody gumdrops.
  4. Belated happy birthday mate, you're about 3 weeks younger than me. Bastard. don't feel it. bit of a theme, after this weekend i don't want to see another double jd!
  5. I think that's what worries me most like. Team spirit took us a hell of a long way in those two years. it did. and the football we played for the most part has been highly effective considering our lack of forward options. i do think that getting rid of jonas is a backwards step unless he is replaced by a player of better quality and who is equally industrious.... a vital point as not many cover the same amount of ground as him. most decent clubs have what would be a spine of quality players, we have (IMO) possibly slipped a couple of discs if jonas, barton and enrique are replaced.
  6. 39 last thursday. fucking feel it as well!
  7. by the looks of it he loves his saturated fat as well.
  8. their best players leaving. woodgates gone, ledleys on one knee... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah hah.
  9. why. he loves the area he lives in, loves playing for the toon, and wants to stay. he'd have taken a pay cut. he would however give arsenal a nice bit of bite in midfield, something their technically perfect nancy boys don't really have.
  10. This shows how little you know about anything really. Most people that have spent any time with Barton have nothing but good things to say about him, its well documented about how much time he spends with the juniors and reserve players. Goes to reserve games (including many an away one) and spends time helping out the younger lads. No doubt if you managed to have a chat with Shane "future of NUFC" Ferguson he'd probably tell you all about how Barton has been a role model to him and brought on his game. Anyone can make assumptions based on mistakes a person has made, and to be fair Bartons made more than many but it doesnt make him a cunt of a man. Just as in Nolan, the loss of Barton will have far wider implications than just on field. Spot on like, he is a sound lad, very articulate and witty actually...he loves the game too. Aye he has his moments but dont we all? I'd be more gutted if he went than Nolans departure tbh. agreed. nolans attacking midfield place will go to either of the french lads we have so i reckon he's cashed in his chips in any case. no one else in the squad does what joey barton does. he'd be sorely missed if he went.
  11. the music is awful. the video is great.
  12. are we a lot better off? financially we are recovering and the team has a solid base (i.e. we can defend) but there are so many gaps in this article its painful.....
  13. it's Delusional. Thats all I know.
  14. here's mine. messi goes in because I genuinely think he's better than maradona. the ronaldo is the big toothed brazilian one.
  15. Silly bastard please delete mods!
  16. More fun from Newcastle? A Newcastle FC insider made an interesting claim to us. The story goes that while manager Alan Pardew draws a relatively low basic salary, he stands to earn much bigger amounts in bonuses based around the profit he makes for the club on player sales. Which would have made Andy Carroll's 35m transfer rather good business. And Jose Enrique's imminent transfer to Man Utd or Liverpool more likely than the "fantastic new contract" said to be on offer. From a popbitch email i was forwarded... Hmmm
  17. My opinion too. Not even an opinion, he always was a dirty little shit and cynical with it, and had he played for some little midtable club he'd have had a hell of alot more cards than the large total he achieved, it was embarassing when commentators would keep laughing as if he was clumsily mistiming tackles everytime. However absolutely class player, one of the best of his generation and dirty tackles aside for a football seemed a pretty genuine down to earth guy who kept his personal life to himslef and never had a bad word said about him. Absolutely had the best attitude, and technically, is still good enough. The legs have gone though...
  18. Edinson Cavani. great player. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCfeNPxtGxM...feature=related
  19. nah. good but not great. when he got motoring he was bluddy fast though . shame he was an utter prick.
  20. a chap by the name of phaelah. terrible name, but good music.
  21. Not bad. needs to work on his left foot. oh....
  22. Guardian saying he's coming. Good good!
  23. Tbh, I'd say that Milan side were a more athletic side than the current Barca one even if Barca do cover more ground individually. Gullit and riijkaard were machines. Very good athletes.
  24. I don'think there is a side including the great milan side of the late 80's and early90's, or the ajax side of the early 70's. The game has moved on from these 2 sides with players covering more ground and being more athletic. Also every player in that team is very comfortable on the ball and always looks for space and also they dont mind recycling the ball, as in restarting moves. The longest pass i saw from barca was about 15 to 20m (the first assist). I also like the unselfishness and willingness of all of the front3 to tackle and pass to any of their team mates. There are no egos. Just a really good football team.
