  1. Kallis averages closer to 60. That's world class. And there's plenty more soft dismissals than match winning innings. KP is a very good player but the same thing that's lost him his place has always prevented him from being considered a great - his brain.
  2. The logistics of enforced sterilisations would be pretty difficult to arrange. For it to be effective and non-reversible by the patient you're talking enforced vasectomies and tubal ligations. You'd need to coerce surgeons, anaesthetists, the entire health service into providing this service on a national basis requiring an enormous philosophical change.
  3. I have been to the Trent, but I was not part of a posse. It was before a game though, I wonder if any of you lot were in there.
  4. I go on a cricket message board and a lot of people think its the wrong decision to drop him, but he's carried on like a prick for far too long IMO. I doubt this suspension will be permanent anyway.
  5. I'd happily go with anyone from here, even the ones who I've clashed with, we might find we get on in person. It'd be difficult to pick just one. Maybe CT, he'd pick a good pub. Providing he didn't brew the beer of course.
  6. All this is a four hundred year old tax fiddle started by the Italians remember. It's been very good of the USA to keep it going, what a marvellous example of international cooperation. Puts the ISS to shame. Or at least it would do, if it existed.
  7. I found Ennis's abs (not a feature i generally look for in a girl) strangely alluring. Just watched that video, Pendleton!
  8. I'm not saying she's perfect at all - she's not really my type anyway (she's clearly gutted etc) - just how surprised I am that such a fierce competitor is a pretty girl with blonde pigtails.
  9. Alreet Frankie Boyle! I think the whole country is in love with Jess. And how about Laura Trott - with those space age helmets and the incredible, ruthless way they relentlessly hunted down and destroyed their opposition, the cycling team don't seem human. Particularly after seeing the sprint team seamlessly weave in and out, then line up together to cross the line, I'm amazed to see people underneath at all, let alone a giggly, charming and cute as a button 20 year old. Just finished watching the highlights programme, my word the BBC are good at what they do. Just fantastic.
  10. Olympic highlights programme is about to start on bbc 1 for those who missed it yesterday.
  11. I'm watching the Bourne Identity. I'm starting to think it's a documentary.
  12. MI isn't either if you google it but that's not really the point.
  13. I can guess but I have no idea really. You can't just decide things without any evidence to guide you. Why don't you tell me?
  14. When did you decide all this Wolfy? Did you go to school and refute all they told you, or did you not go at all?
  15. We're not all bike nerds so not everyone understands the jargon. Same reason that if drawn into a conversation about heart disease I'll say 'heart attack' not 'MI'.
  16. Ugh, it's like something of Prometheus or Star Trek or something. I'm glad I've had my tea!
  17. Was that SLP having a go at Tom Daley over twitter I wonder...
  18. Didn't she swim a better time than Beijing for one of them?
  19. Agree re 5 live, they improved towards the end as the finals and athletics medals came in but for the most part it was just build up to or post mortem of 'Team GB's exploits. I drove from Leeds to Liverpool and back on the first Sunday and didn't hear a word of live commentary.
  20. Exactly. Calvin Harris would have been great.
